After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

OH CRAP, wasn’t me. Adam will be free to wander the world without our guidance and permission for awhile longer.

Hoping my friend in Baltimore Co won. She always promised to share. Won’t be enough to buy Adam but we could do some fun traveling to see him. Tweeted her and haven’t heard back. That could be good news.

  26. mieps says:

Well, I had my first, albeit second hand, Adam story. I’m moving and my landlady was showing the suite. One of the people interested was a gay couple, and when they saw my picture with Adam they got all excited and jealous! This is the first time I hear of people in my ‘neighbourhood’ that know and actually like Adam! The landlady liked them too, so this place may see continued love for Adam.
I can sleep peacefully now in the other place Wink

  27. luval says:

Ok…can someone tell me the bad news…where is BTIKM on VH1 countdown or did it fall off?

Might be that more people were voting more on the March Madness and less on VH1…
We will see next week…When I am on their site voting, most votes coming in are for Adam, so I don’t understand…It must be a mix of things like votes, sales and radio play…

I am just going to continue to vote everywhere I can for him….

  35. loveroftalent says:

Thanks for all the great pictures cwm…

I hadn’t seen these clips from the Q&A at the Radio Alice appearance in SF, so I think they just got posted.

Here Adam talks about sound issues and singing the national anthem:

And of course, a lovely performance of BTIKM:

  37. cwm says:

I hope we get vids from Adam’s appearance last night in San Diego. He sang 4 songs, and from reports from those who were there, it sounds like he really let it rip. So far, nothing has popped up, though. Frown C’mon station! They didn’t allow videos from fans, so they darn better have recorded it and post it themselves!

Wow, Adam is finally home today (I would guess). A couple more appearances in LA early next week, and then he’s done with the promo tour. That must have been exhausting! He was gone for the entire month of March, in a different city with multiple appearances pretty much everyday.

And you know, he was unfailingly fun, funny, upbeat, charming, and gracious in every single Q&A and interview. And he smiled beautifully for and warmly embraced hundreds (probably more than a thousand) of strangers for photos. And every single performance of every single song was fantastic. There wasn’t a single stinker in the bunch. Amazing. That took a lot of endurance, positive energy, and discipline to pull that off. Kudos to Adam, and I really hope all that effort and expense pays off in the long run.

IKR. I would have lasted a few days at most and then my Mr. AL Hyde character would have come out! Evil Grin
And it seems that in San Diego, he even hung out in the packing lot with the fans!

I’ve only partially recovered from meeting Adam in San Diego last night so this is a little late in coming. I would love to share our experience with you all and I know you will relate to our feelings and sense of wonder about the whole adventure! I apologize in advance if I babble too much! LOL

My daughter, Jen, “THE best daughter in the world” as she refers to herself now, won our tickets. Getting that hysterical phone call in my classroom in front of 26 third graders and trying to maintain my composure is another story! We had a week to buy something cute to wear for Adam. Thinking of course that he would notice my “statement” necklace and “Amazing Grace” fragrance. LOL

iPhone GPS can NOY be trusted and took us on a wild goose chase 30 minutes before the doors were to open. Sitting in Friday evening rush hour traffic as you know is a b-tch no matter where you live. We pulled over in panic and reset GPS and prayed once more to the Gods to get us there in time. It wasn’t looking too good at the point. Margie had texted asking if we had met Adam yet and I told her we were lost so we’ll get back to ya!

Finally spotted the theater, doors have opened, and we zipped into the parking garage with 20 minutes to show time and decided to take the stairs from the second level. Not smart in heels but we thought it would be faster. We’re bookin it down the steps and Jen spots a blonde boy with a guitar case just below us and says, “Mom isn’t that Tommy?” “Yes, yes! Tommy! Hi!” Waving like a lunatic almost ate it down the steps but he looked up and waved then…she sees black spikey hair and it’s Adam! Jen takes off leaving me in the dust as he’s crossing the street from the garage, Jen hot on his tail. She’s screaming, “Adam!” He turns around and waves but keeps walking and she lets him know we’re coming to the show and we love him. He gives a thumbs up and smiles and slips in the back stage door. I’m waving like a lunatic too and he must have thought we were nuts but hey I DO have the best daughter in the world!

So we weren’t so late after all! The Gods planned our detour perfectly so we could have a close encounter in the garage! We checked in and made our way through the tavern to the back where the theater entrance is . Lots of people mingling around waiting behind the red ropes anxiously dying to rush in. But knowing that Adam is all about peace and love we weren’t about to push in front of others who were there before us. But when the cute little security guy opened that red rope you bet we walked as fast as ladies in heels can, to score second row center seats in front of the stage. Really there wouldn’t have been a bad seat with such a small group anyway but front and center was a real treat.

The radio dj gave us very specific directions about what we could and couldn’t do. No flash photography, no videos, no he wouldn’t sign autographs, and no we couldn’t use our cameras during M&G to take pictures. Professional photographer shots he assured us would be much better than our iPhones. (Still haven’t seen those photos on their site thank you very much!) Prescreened questions would be asked and then Adam would sing. He said Adam was “feelin it” tonight so we should be excited. Yay…just bring him out already!!

Adam strolled out with Tommy and waved, smiled to the squeeling crowd and then perched on the stools center stage. DJ asked the questions not acknowledging who in the audience wrote them and most were pretty run of the mill, same old thing. The 8 year old who asked if he pictured the audience in their underwear (which he said he doesn’t) if he did though he could picture hers pink. Ackward!! He said how about a pink bathing suit? Let’s get on with the singing. Some banter with few ladies in the crowd who were more bold than me to shout out comments here and there. He was funny and relaxed and he and Tommy had a few chuckles between them. Adam said wait till you hear Cuckoo with the “booty base” and said Tommy didn’t have much of a booty. Haha!

Set list was BTIKM, Cuckoo, Trespassing, and NCOE. This man doesn’t need electronics or a mic to sing. He just opens his mouth and the most beautiful sound comes out effortlessly. His voice filled the theater and we were all just mesmerized. As much as I wanted to take more pictures (even though it was too dark especially with no flash) but I just wanted to bask in the glory of his voice and presence. Didn’t want to waste a minute or miss a thing fiddling with camera. It would be over too soon anyway so I just sat back and
    enjoyed the view!

Afterward we lined up for M&G which we knew would be very fast. They wouldn’t let Jen and I have separate pictures and one with all three of us so we went for the individual shots. That way we would each have a second of his time before being hustled away. I knew I wanted to tell him briefly about my surgery and how inspirational he was in my recovery so she didn’t want to follow me. Before we knew it it was our turn. Cute, well-dressed guy in front of us gave him a charm and asked him out I think but he politely declined. With a smile sent him off and it was Jen’s turn. She asked if she could hug him and he said of course. He wrapped his arms around her and gave her a genuine bear hug. Wish I could have taken a picture of that! Two shots from the photographer and she’s done then he looks over and it’s my turn. Adam smiles and I lost all inhibitions. As I was walking toward him he was looking and smiling so I said, “Hi Adam…” and went right in for a hug. Now was my brief chance so I told him my story as quickly as I could. “Remember your last concert at Club Nokia, Dec. 16? (duh yea!) Well I was there 5 weeks after I had brain surgery.” He had been looking into my eyes the whole time and his expression changed for a second and he touched my arm and replied, “Oh!” “You and your music inspired my recovery and helped me get well so that I could be there. I just love you.” We posed for the picture and the handler was moving in to hustle me off but he said,” Well get ready for the new album!” and I said, “OH, I AM!” I touched his right arm/shoulder and said thank you again and floated away!

As thrilled and nervous as I was knowing I would get to meet him, I felt this sense of peace and confidence in knowing that he really cares about people. I was more at ease than I thought I would be. Thought for sure I might have a heart attack on the spot but he is so genuinely nice and when he looks at you there’s no one else in the room that has his attention. Aside from being gorgeous he is one of THE nicest people you’ll ever meet. I love his dressed down more natural look which I think also makes him more approachable and less intimidating, at least for me. When we saw him on Jay Leno dressed to the nines he was so handsome I would have been too tongue-tied to say a word!

So there you have it. I know it’s not in a nutshell but it was fun reliving it in writing and I hope you got a sense of being there with us. For those who have met Adam you’ll understand the way he makes you feel and I hope that you all get that opportunity one day. There is NO ONE who can touch him vocally and as a human being we could all learn from his example. His mom and dad did good! He just tweeted, “Home Sweet Home!” so he is back in the arms of the one he loves and isn’t that where we all want to be?

    Hugs my friends!

tchrsd thank you so much for the lovely recap. How exciting to have a little private Adam sighting on your way in. I am so glad you were there with your daughter. Loved your story and I can only hope the radio station taped the singing. Sounds like he was all kinds of in the mood.

Love your last sentiment. Adam and Sauli deserve some time alone and away from the spotlight.

I could feel your happiness, frustration, joy as your adventure unfolded and it brought tears to my eyes. Thinking some day it might be me.
