Your not the only one, because I enjoy her site, it help me keep up with all the Idol news. I also realized a while ago, that Adam’s success and the respect he’s getting from the industry is the best revenge against those who hate him. I’m going to enjoy these coming months and not get upset over stuff that I have no control over.
I hate when Adam keeps secrets. I now it’s a good secret, but it’s pure torture waiting for Queen to make an announcement.

It just occurred to me, what Queen said on their website was that Sonisphere UK 2012 had been cancelled. That doesn’t mean that Queen couldn’t do their own concert at Knebworth (as Northern Spirit said)….So many people have booked non-refundable hotels in the vicinity, and possibly non-refundable or at least big penalty airline tickets to go there from all around the US and other countries, it wouldn’t be hard for them to find out how many people bought Saturday-only passes, Saturday VIP passes, etc. The fact that Queen knew this and put it on their site first to me indicates that they got an early heads-up from the same organizer possibly that booked them. I truly think they must be trying to work something out for themselves. Everything crossed!
That was a terrific performance of Trespassing, nkd! They just keep getting betterer and betterer.

NCOE sounded amazing again!! Adam knows how to put just the right amount of grit into his voice, something that I think seperates his from Bruno Mars’singing. I don’t think I would mind it as the next single.

It sounds like the promoter is having deep financial troubles. I’m particularly struck by the fact that it sounds like they were concerned about whether or not they could pull off the festival before they even announced it a month ago.
Now we wait to see whether Queen and Adam say anything hopeful about an alternative gig.

Regarding the whole MJs situation, I read through the twitter battle she had with a few Adam fans today. I get that her blog is not a fansite and that people are allowed to criticize the celebrities and idols she covers but not each other. So I don’t get too worked up about criticisms of Adam in Adam threads because criticisms of other idols appear in other threads. What struck me today, though, was MJ’s obvious disdain for Adam’s fans. She essentially lumped us all together as “cray cray stans” and dismissed us.
I surprised myself by caring that I felt insulted by her remarks, and I sent her a fairly long private email about it. I made sure that it was very respectful and diplomatic (something I’m actually pretty good at). I won’t go into the details here, but bottom line, I acknowledged the difficulties and frustrations she encounters; conveyed my perceptions of her negativity toward Adam’s fans and the role it plays in an increasingly negative cycle of interaction; pointed out that we’re not all crazy and that some of us are actually quite reasonable, follow the rules, and are a positive force on her blog; asked her to be even-handed and fair with her ban hammer, her own overreactions, her angry threats, and insults on twitter, even amidst her irritations; and I expressed hope that her rules against insulting other people and fandoms also applied to what she says publicly about people and fandoms.
I honestly don’t know whether she will respond or not. We’ll see.
By the way, in the midst of the twitter battle today, she said that clicks on Adam threads do not constitute the majority of her traffic- “far from it” – and that most of her traffic comes from coverage of the current shows and spoilers. She pointed out that number of comments on a thread is not a good barometer for number of clicks overall. She ended by saying that she will probably (further) reduce her coverage of Adam, and I got the sense that she may reduce coverage of other ex-idols as well and focus more on the current shows. So, maybe she doesn’t really need Adam fans to sustain her click rate, since she appears quite willing to reduce the Adam-related traffic to reduce her aggravation and headaches. So be it.
I may still check in there from time to time and possibly post if I feel so inclined, but I don’t feel the strong pull to MJs anymore that I once did. I’m getting all of my Adam news off twitter now anyway. Follow a few key people on twitter and you learn everything you need to know.
I will always be grateful to MJ for providing the real estate that facilitated our establishing this great community of fans, and I’m sorry to see that the tone has changed so much there at this point. But she has greatly expanded the range of shows and people that she covers on her blog, and it’s kind of a different place now than it was a year or two ago.

HI cwm, I just came here to post that, too. Let’s hope they can figure something out, a venue near London at the same time. Why not Knebworth? The grounds are free now.
I will still be there with cher, riskylady, and anyone else who cares to join us. If Adam and Queen do have a concert at the same venue or somewhere else in the UK that week it will be incredible. We will get a whole concert of what we came all this way to see without having to sit through all the other stuff that we weren’t interested in in the first place. I truly believe that they will do everything in their power to make it happen. They have the numbers of everyone who ordered tickets for Saturday only. They have to know how much interest there was. And if it is just them, I am sure that many, many more will want to come.

She barely has time to anything but the front page at Adamtopia, and that’s her own site. There’s just a big pool of part-time moderators to keep things going there since she’s mostly not available now. I’m guessing that MJ’s is consequently a pretty low concern for her.
I’ll admit I only poke my head into mj’s periodically, and that’s usually to see what other idols besides Adam are doing. Don’t need the aggrevation. (Although I’ll admit a bit of perverse snarkish pleasure in reading the back-n-forth at times.

I promised never to go there yesterday, but found myself there anyway. I will be done posting there for a while. I’m in the same boat of feeling a little hurt, and not understanding it completely.
It’s the old adage of biting the hand that feeds you.
Anyway, I have seen Mj on some video chat, and she said that she’s overwhelmed many times by the demand for threads for so many shows. I’m thinking she’s too invested/divided/stressed to be even-handed.
Now: about Queen. I really think they have something else up their sleeves. Adam seemed very chill about it in that great and long and fan-friendly and uber excellent interview today from San Fran.
Elise last night was very very good with WLL. And LOL about Randy’s short memory. I mean seriously, the dawg was at LA for both shows. How could he possibly forget Adam’s tour closer? Didn’t he need to see an eye doctor from all the glitter? ( Hahaha)
