After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

    Re: Howard Cohen. I’m surprised he’s not into Adam anymore. Didn’t realize that. He was a huge supporter in S8, was mad when Adam didn’t win, loved Adam at the post idol tour show here and enjoyed Glamnation at Hard Rock. When Brian Mansfield tweeted Adam praise from the Nashville GlamNation show and the Hard Rock show wasn’t on the tour schedule yet, Howard tweeted back that he wished he was there too. I emailed him that we suspected that Adam would be doing Hard Rock in September, then he told me he would check with his contact at Hard Rock and the next day he wrote in the Miami Herald arts section that Adam would be coming to the Hard Rock in September. I haven’t read anything from him about Adam since. Maybe he wanted Adam to stay in a certain genre. Who knows? Oh well. We love Adam in any way, genre, shape or form. Grin

    Q&A #2 from 106.5 San Jose. He’s asked about the Sonisphere cancellation and expresses regret and disappointment about it, but doesn’t give any clues that something else is up their sleeve. Just “We’ll see” and “ask them (Queen).” In fact, he makes no reference to the Moscow show, either.     Good morning, cwm. Yes, those Fernando & Greg show photos were already posted. I agree with you about those gorgeous meet & greet photos. He’s wearing black, hair looks shiny & healthy, looks absolutely happy! Now the latest hat radio promo, total difference. I think it might might have been the day after the Sonisphere cancellation. He probably had no sleep, felt miserable…he says he’s an insomniac so the bad news didn’t help. In the one interview where the fan mentions she was going to Moscow & London, he didn’t of course say anything about Moscow. I felt really bad for him because I’m sure he has no answers and knows the wrath of the haters will be in full force.

    This roller coaster life of his is something. I know how I (we) feel. Can’t imagine what’s going through his head. And with the release of the album in another 6 weeks, he’ll probably not get a wink of sleep worrying. Wonder if it’s all worth it? Interesting about them switching to WWFM. Probably label said no more singing it. (promo is over anyway). I’m changing my thought from Cuckoo now to NCOE to be the first single although I love Cuckoo better. And I’m afraid he’ll be on the Idol finale too, mixed in with everyone else. It’s the timing, I feel. Is NCOE really a dance song? I really think dance music is the big thing now (I posted a video yesterday about this).

    Oh well, off to buy my mega millions ticket!

    Just jumped out of the shower but I thought I’d throw this out there.

    If anyone has numbers for the mega million that might represent this blog, let me know in the next 15min or so. I already have Adam’s age, birthday, etc. so, I’ll check before I go out the door. Of course, winnings will be shared! After all, it’s a half a billion dollars now!

    Hmm luval, let’s see. His height is 6’1” and his shoe size is 11. He has 2 official albums and 2 bastard albums, there are 12 songs on the standard track list for Trespassing and 15 on the deluxe, and he did 113 shows for the GNT. How’s that?

    He did say that the NCOE snippet was very rough and the album version hits really hard, so I don’t know. I can def hear how it could be punched up a bit. Let’s just hope they don’t lose his vocals!

    That’s great news and it seems to me, Queen is working on finding another venue for a concert in England. I guess that’s why Adam is being so mysterious about any news about the Queen performance.

    I went to the site to see whether tickets were still for sale and they are. Using Google translate, it showed that ticket prices ranged from $1750-$30,000 USD!!! Maybe that should be rubles? ($60-$1000 makes more sense)?

    Any anyone heard from rainbowgal recently? I haven’t seen her gorgeous rainbow locks for about a week. She was posting like crazy before then.

    Anyway…I scored last minute tickets (Alice 97.3) just a couple of days ago to see Adam perform at the Alice 97.3 Infusion Lounge, a hip bar/lounge in San Francisco. I tried for over a week to win tickets at 6 different radio stations (Sacramento, SF and San Jose)…just couldn’t even get thru…the Glamberts were in full force. I was persistence though and on the last day, I finally did get thru, I just let the phone ring and ring for like 3 minutes, then they hung up on me. I thought to myself, they have a winner by now and almost didn’t call back, but for some reason I called again and I got thru and the phone kept ringing and ringing then the DJ finally picked up and asked if I wanted to see Adam. OMG! YES!!! I was on the phone for a while talking to this DJ…her name is Jayn and she is a total Glambert. Check out this old interview she did with Adam…he looks soo different, but so sweet.     Adam had 3 radio gigs yesterday in SF. During the morning interview, he was still talking about performing at Sonisphere so I think Adam was finding out about the cancellations at about the same time we were hearing about the rumors. One of the DJs at Infusion Lounge asked him about performing with Queen (this was around 1pm) and he kinda grimaced and said he didn’t really want to talk about it (he was obviously really disappointed), but I think he did offer a glimmer of hope because he said to stay tuned for more details.

    My 21 year old daughter was on spring break this week so I invited her along…she’s not really a fan and has never been to any of his concerts, but the performance was at a bar in SF so she was more than happy to come along. LOL…she was also thrilled because they picked her question to ask: What is your favorite bar drink? : -) So now we all know Adam loves a dirty martini.

    They did a drawing for 5 people plus their guest to win a meet and greet. Unfortunatlely, I was not one of them, but I had a great time with my daughter anyways. We got drinks and there were some passed hor d’oeuvre.

    It was really hard to see anything even though we ended up standing only 4 rows back, but he did sound amazing. He sang BTIKM (flawless), Trespassing and Cockoo…yay!!! He really seemed comfortable and in a great mood…lotsa love in the audience:

    Hope you all enjoyed the links to the Alice 97.3 Infusion lounge interview and performance. I actually just watched all of them. I was there, but I didn’t even remember half the interviews…thank goodness for the fans that took videos. You probably won’t see too many pics or vids of this performance, though….they kinda discouraged it, especially flash photography so i didn’t get any pics except for the bad quality ones I took with my iphone.

    My daughter and I stood right next to the 4 morning DJ’s who were doing the interviews. The women DJs were really getting into the music…bobbing their heads up and down and moving to the beat (chair dancing). Vinnie (the male DJ)…I think he was just really amused by how “passionate” and knowledgeable all the fans were. He did say to us when we first walked in that we were in for a real treat because Adam’s sound check was amazing…so he was impressed by Adam’s voice. I think if it was up to those DJs, they’d play his music all the time. This was the station that (according to Adam) was the first station to play BTIKM. They have been playing BTIKM way more than they ever played WWFM.

    Disclaimer – These are just the observations of my daughter, a non-fan:

    It was interesting to see my daughter’s reaction to all this. She is probably typical of the demographic that Adam wants to really tap into in the US. She is 21, downloads all kinds of music, likes to go dancing at clubs and is indifferent to Adam’s music (neither hates it or loves it). Also, she has never gone to any of Adam’s concert so when we got to the Infusion lounge, she was really taken aback by the age of the crowd…I think she was expecting more of a mix of people or a younger crowd. There might have been 3 other girls there her age and they were with their moms. There were maybe 2 young gay couples. I would say about 90% of the crowd (100 people) was mostly 40+ year old women. She was also amused at all the twittering that was going on while we were waiting and some of the cray cray behavior. She said the squealing almost reminded her of the time we made her take her little sisters to a Jonas Brother’s concert. Hehhee

    As far as the music goes, she said she really liked the live version of BTIKM. Score!
    Then I asked if she thought he was hot. She told me she thought he looked good, but he reminds her of so many of her friends (she has just as many close gay friends as straight friends) so she doesn’t see him as “hot”…more like someone she could really just hang out with.

    On another note I took a survey from the non-fans in my family:
    I played the 4 snippets from Trespassing and asked my 3 girls – 21,16 and 13 years old (who listen to everything from rap to top 40 to sometimes even country) and my husband (he listens to classic rock) what song they liked best and what should Adam’s next single be. I was really surprised they all picked the same song…NCOE. I love all the songs but after hearing the acoustical version of NCOE I’m really, really loving it even though it was the least favorite of most of the fans.

    Thank you so much, jlurks, for the great AdamReport. Love to hear everyone’s impressions! Loved also the part about what song was picked among family members for the next single. I really, really want Trespassing and Cuckoo to be released at some point, but with BTIKM performing a tad less than stellar on the charts, I do think he needs to hit the general public with something more mainstream. I kinda think the Bruno song is pretty but a snooze, but, then, I thought BTIKM would jet to the top of the charts, so I guess I’m not the gal to ask for predictions. Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to post!

    Haha Ron A friend of mine kept bugging me about skyping (he has just retired and is getting into such things) so finally one Saturday morning I skyped him . “Is that YOU? he asked incredulously. “Your hair looks AWFUL!” That’s what you get on Saturday morning with Skype, I told him.     Haha about Skype, I skype with my grandchildren every week. I despise looking at myself, but love watching them. My daughter uses her phone and I am on my computer, my granddaughter says all the time now, “let me hold Grandma”.

    Two more peeps I (Cher & others) know have tickets to radio promos. Marilyn
    in San Diego 5:00pm PST today and France in LA monday. Marilyn said she is taking deep breaths. I don’t skype (no cam) but do facetime (apple product)
    with family. Use ipad (iphone, mac, etc) so great for show and tell. I can
    move around – inside/outside – and show what I’m talking about. fun.
