December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!
Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

I wouldn’t blame Adam’s management company.
RCA releases the singles and cd’s. Adam’s management company got him some amazing exposures last Fall in anticipation of his cd release and then it didn’t happen. Most shows have a one-appearance a season rule so Adam couldn’t re-visit them when he needed to, in May.
His management company has capitalized on and expanded his international exposures very well. No guarantee that 19M would have done the same.
They are small, Adam is important to them and they can leverage their managment of Katy Perry to Adam’s benefit a lot, especially when she starts promoting new material. Everyone will want her and they may have to take Adam to get her. Another reason to adjust his cd cycle.
Just dreaming in technicolor, imagining the possibilites.
TLKC, I think you are correct. Obviously none of us are privy to the conversations between Adam and RCA, but I would wager that there have been some unpleasant ones recently. My feeling is that Trespassing is indeed Adam’s baby in a very personal sense, he has been told that due to below expectation sales and the lack of a radio hit in the US the Trespassing era will be over with after the international dates scheduled in February and March, and that he will basically be marched back into the studio to record an album over which he will have little creative control.
Now whether Adam will actually agree to do that, or says to hell with RCA and pursues other projects, I don’t know. No idea if Adam’s recording contract with RCA would allow them to basically require him to make another album whether he wants to or not (or at least if he doesn’t want to make another album on their terms).
The other question is would a third album receive anywhere near the production and promotional budget that Trespassing did. Depends on how RCA views Adam and the potential return from the third album at that point.
I know that my negative viewpoint on the Trespassing era is not shared by some here, but I really don’t know how else to interpret recent developments.
Don’t want to be a post ho but my nephew just called and I asked him what he wanted for Christmas. He said world peace. I said okay, I’d do my best.

Ron, there is no LIVE stream of the TV show by VH1, only the red carpet and
“behind the scene.” A east coaster is going to provide a password protected
“dinner” of their TV. So 9PM ET, 8PM central, and 6PM pacific. Perhaps if
anyone gets the “dinner” info it could be posted on the “member only” planning
thread? Dinner maybe needed for international friends. Suggestions?
Hey, Ron. I checked the VH1 site, and it sounds as though only the backstage and red carpet will be streamed on their site. I’m hoping for more, but we’ll see what happens. In any case, Much Music will air the show on the 19th at 7pm and also on the 27th, so we can watch it later if we have to.
That Anonymox add on for Firefox is really good. A friend of mine had me over to watch a BBC show on Friday, and she uses PureVPN to change her IP address, but pays about $8/month for the PureVPN service. I then went home and managed to watch the same show using Anonymox, which is free. So it’s a deal!
OK. But, TLKC, don’t we see Pickler and Bieber and Minaj more often than that on Ellen?
I just think the radio tour promo for Adam tanked him.
I think being overseas when the CD came out tanked him.
I think being seen as a “celebrity” rather than a singer tanked him.
I honestly think he should have gone right into a real tour in June.
Radio shows. like the one I saw in Des Moines, did not help his career.

eywfler, I agree about the difficult conversations. In all liklihood, Adam is committed to RCA, either by a continued association or a requirement to pay out some $$$$$ to part company. (They can pull out bills if they need to.)
Unlike David Cook and Kris Allen, he has the potential to embarrass them big-time in a near-future project if they let him go, so they may be reluctant to part with him unless it is perceived to be his choice.
Agree, too, about the 3rd cd’s lower budget but it wouldn’t be surprising to find that there are many good and talented people who would like to work with him enough to keep their fees reasonable.
I seem to be alone in thinking that the “different approach” will be more WWFM, Nirvana, Runnin’, Chokehold, acoustic direction etc. This is not a dumbing down direction imho. It’s a lovely one.
We will see.
That’s what I have read. Of course, rules are made to be broken, for people like Bieber, Beyonce etc. Adam is a mid-range celebrity – not so easy.

I guess some of us are going to have to depend on the good graces of HannaBec who it seems is going to point a camera at her TV and stream the show.
This makes me remember a very similar set up a few years ago. We were all still posting on MJ’s. I don’t remember what show Adam was appearing in … it could have simply been GNT … when this couple, man and woman, set up a camera in their living room. I don’t remember who these people were or how we came to know about them. It was very kind of them except … they had what appeared to be a 3 year old child who was crying and screaming when he wasn’t running in front of the television set and blocking the picture or fiddling with the camera! Even when he wasn’t in the room, you could hear him making all this noise in the background. Then he’d come back into the living room. These people didn’t say or do anything to quiet this little boy down and it ended up being kind of a disaster!
Does anyone else remember that?

I agree that Adam may have something up his sleeve. Also that Trespassing is his baby as was said, may be reluctant to give it up. Ugh…thinking of all those radio promos he had to do for BTIKM to no avail. What a trouper. Set him back months. With the industry changing and moving so fast, you have to jump on the train immediately. More catching up to do. And I’ll bet Adam knew all this and couldn’t do a damn thing about it.
eta: Am looking forward to the show tonight but as usual am so nervous for Adam. Probably shouldn’t be. He seems so confident and happy about this show in all his interviews. Maybe at this point he doesn’t give a s**t and whatever happens happens. I’m all for that!

Don’t worry Ron, Hanna Bec seems like a very reliable Adam fan. I’ve followed her on twitter for some time. She tweets alot and seems like a fairly sensible fan. Has attended lots of shows but she is also a Tommy fan. Not one of the Adommy one however. She would probably fit in here very well.

Our local Maryland-Virginia ALL group is having a Diva party and viewing tonight. I’m expecting Adam to be fabulous as usual, but still am feeling some nervous anticipation. It should be really fun! I hope all of you outside the US get to watch, too.
Happy day for me today! Not only has the Divas Show day finally arrived, but also I get to hook up once again with some of my wonderful ALL friends. A small group of us (adamized, mmm222, and Kradamour) are getting together at my house for a viewing/flailing evening. We will miss you, ultimathule.

I tried to look for Hannabec’s stream, but the link someone (thank you!) posted here didn’t work. Then I checked Twitter and someone there told that she had to take it down because so many was tweeting about it. I am not sure of it though. Did anyone else here manage to see Hannabec’s stream link? The show will start 4 am my time, I am afraid I am not gonna wake up (and unfortunately wake my guy too) that early, because I don’t know if there’s anything on except the back stage 
So I really really hope some ninjas manage to make it a video, or I will get Aely‘s DVD later

Everything from, he seems nervous; a bit awkward. Not bad; he’s doing okay. To, he’s a natural for this and is doing great!
