December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!

Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

Enjoy the chat! Happy Holidays!

Is that a 2013 calendar? Wow – if it is, pay a pretty penny for that one.

Seems like it comes with the January 2013 InRock

INROCK Jan 2013 issue has a celebrity calendar comes with it and Adam’s new pic on February page!

    http://adamholic.com/blog/2012/12/15/inrock-2013-calendar/
    It’s available on amazon.com.jp

Or in the US from magazine Cafe Store. They don’t have the 2013 issue wiht Taylor Swift but do have the December 2012 with Adam inside!

Why’s he on February – it’s the shortest month. Want the full 31 days to look at the pic.

    Actually want the whole year.

  3. rs says:

Oh HK Fan, I am glad that you and your family are alright! It is so scary just thinking about that.
You seem to have the right attitude, though. Take care of yourself.

  4. rs says:

Mils, TLKC I don’t want to get into a political discussion, but I just have to make one comment about Neil. I did like him, his intelligence, and snark, and I even brought him a gift to my M&G, but I finally unfollowed him on twitter because I just couldn’t stand his total onesidedness concerning my corner of the world. He gets his news from a terrorist run news agency and denies my country’s right to defend itself. There isn’t the slightest bit of evenhandedness in his views. I just couldn’t take it anymore.
I just hope that he doesn’t influence his brother’s views. I know that his father doesn’t agree with him.

  5. glambotgram says:

HK Fan how scary for you and your family. I am so glad you are all ok.

  6. TLKC says:

Hi rs. I didn’t know that. I follow Neil but I haven’t seen a tweet of his in ages. He does have a tendency to comment on a lot of things, some of which he may not know nearly enough about.

I can’t see Adam being persuaded to Neil’s views on matters like Israel or Ireland. He’s a lover, not a fighter and isn’t likely to get too far beyond the “why can’t everyone get along?” POV. That’s his approach to life and he doesn’t seem to be changing.

  7. TLKC says:

    Hello Krad and Ulti.

Just kibitzing here but TV, computer, radio and newspaper are tools; the means by which we access the culture and the life of the body politic. Notwithstanding Marshall McLuhan’s brilliant thesis, content is at least as important as the medium.

TV isn’t banal. It simply delivers a lot of banality. We access at least as much crappy content on the internet using our computers (possible more because most of it is uncurated.)

Why does the computer get a pass and the TV get such a bum rap?

I can understand people not wanting them in their home because they find TV programming highly addictive or wish to focus their children on other things but, properly utilised, the TV can provide very entertaining and informative content.

    Hello!

TLKC…totally agree with you about TV. The History Channel, Discovery Channel (Planet Earth was breathtaking), CNN. I could go on & on. I still read newspapers & periodicals but the news is so far behind. Also the internet. Don’t get me started on it. It’s only as good as the person who inputs the information. Try finding anything on a Sunday morning when IMO those programmers show up late for work! LOL

And of course, Adam. Would never have know about him & that translates into never knowing and/or meeting so many of you!!

  12. milwlovesadam says:

TLKC, I couldn’t agree more about TV and computers. There is a lot of garbage in media. Honey Boo Boo anyone? It’s brain drain. It’s a dumbing down of society. However, there is a lot of quality out there too.

I love my cable and premium cable stations. I was up late watching CNN and Anderson Cooper taking the high road by not mentioning the shooter’s name and giving him the attention of yesterday’s tragedy. I love my HBO and Showtime dramas.

And, on another subject, I don’t tweet. I just look up Neil on twitter on-line. He is adamantly anti-Israeli politics. He is very pro-Palestinian and is quite outspoken. He uses biased media as his sources. He interprets authentic Israeli media as biased and corrupted. What I “enjoy” about his rants is how firmly he feels, and the debates he gets into with Israeli Glamberts and others. As a 29 year old woman married to an Israeli with two sons there studying right now and hubby’s family and many friends there, it is interesting to see a younger perspective. Neil’s opinions are very representative of how most people his age that I know feel. The political tide is turning lately. I don’t necessarily like it, but, I do get something from seeing it debated in places like Neil’s twitter.

Neil’s tweet about Gokey’s tweet sparked a lot of discussion at MJ’s. It is a very interesting thread. IMHO

And now for the entertainment portion of today, I’m going over to the San Fran thread for vidz of last night’s GB show.

  13. TLKC says:

Here’s a game to play. David Cook’s Hollywood home, which includes a recording studio, was put up for sale in March at $1.495 million. I read that it was recently listed for $1.365. David bought it in 2010 for $1.318 and reno’ed it.

How would this do for Adam? It has a recording studio in it!
    http://realestalker.blogspot.ca/2012/03/american-idol-david-cook-lists.html

    Questions:

Where exactly is Beachwood Canyon in LA?

How far is it from Adam’s current home?

Do you think Adam could afford a $365,000 down-payment and a 25-year $1 million mortgage on it?

Is it as easy for Sauli to walk to and from as the current address is?

Does it feel suburban or does it have that West Hollywood vibe that suits Adam?

One of the comments on the site suggests that it is only worth $1.2 million. Should Adam hold out for a better deal or does the recording studio add just enough value for it to be worth that much to Adam?

    Inquiring minds want to know.

  14. TLKC says:

Yes, luval, and as a confirmed periodical reader and subscriber to magazines like The Times Literary Supplement I tend to focus too much about too little. Many is the day I have gotten past noon without knowing that a major event has occurred because I didn’t spend 30 minutes on an early morning newscast or newspaper because I was checking out THIS and other ADAM LAMBERT SITES.

That places the computer’s capacity to dumb down firmly in lousy TV territory.

I watched all of Soledad O’Brien’s CNN breakfast show the day Adam was on and found the discussion on everything from the fiscal cliff to the recent election quite interesting, even if it was an overview. Not a bad way to wake up in the morning.

  15. TLKC says:

Ooooooh…. running over to MJ’s. (Not posting though.)

    See you later tonight!

  16. Kradamour says:

Why does the computer get a pass and the TV get such a bum rap?

Computers definitely don’t get a pass, at least not here. Without going into too much detail (not the purpose of this blog), my younger son called me last week to discuss his deepening fears that his thought processes have been affected by his computer use. This is a kid (20) who lives on his computer in spite of a busy social life – checks email and websites on his whamodyne phone when he is not at home on his computer. Has 20 tabs open and refreshes constantly for that little dopamine hit. Was unable to read the books he needed for his end of semester papers – couldn’t focus as far as the end of a page. He says it has been getting worse and worse, he reads a book like he reads a webpage, skipping around and turning the page before he gets to the end of a first one, then turning back when he realizes that he needs to. Finally in desperation he took a friend’s prescription Adderall, says all of his friends trade them around when they need to write a paper so that they can focus. I hear from my high school students also that they cannot read books – I teach honors students, and my son is also in University Honors. Son came home and went to our doctor – doc says he hears this all the time now, his colleaques and he are at a loss to really know what to do, but he is convinced by what he is reading in the research that computer use by the young changes the wiring in their brains. Newsweek had a terrifying cover article in June called iCrazy about this very subject.
Son is trying to severely cut back on his computer use, but says he is jumpy and nervous when he can’t check constantly or is away from his phone or computer. My students tell me the same thing, that they even have trouble having dinner with their families or being in church, because they can’t get their minds off of what they could be missing online, and they can’t wait to get back to the screen to refresh and see what has happened and get linked up again.
Sorry to make a longer post than I intended.
Happy to delete if anyone thinks I should.

HKFan, my heart was in my throat as I read your post. Sending as much good and peaceful karma as I can over the internet. To know that your sons had been at risk…
Try to keep in mind that it is true that rarely does lightning strike twice in the same place.

HK Fan and RS and anyone else wh will not be able to watch Diva’s tomorrow!

@Hannabec will stream VH1 Divas Live show from her tv for int’l & anyone else who cannot get VH1 tv. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/gonna-lose-my-mind

  18. aely says:

Just got to San Francisco to see a friend before heading to LA tomorrow and saw this tweet

@VH1Music: .@montepittman we especially want to know what Madonna song YOU think @adamlambert should cover @VH1DIVAS?!

I know from you guys they are not on good terms. Still don’t know why but I thought it was odd.

  19. milwlovesadam says:

Well. Monte has been Madonna’s guitarist for a long time. Monte introduced Adam to Madonna. The connections are there, no matter what has transpired. Monte knows them both very well.

I’m still going with Vogue and/or Ray of Light

  20. dcglam says:

I agree, aely. It is a very strange request, in my opinion as well under the circumstances. Obviously, VH1 is aware of Monte’s connection to both Adam and Madonna. I wonder if Monte will even respond, and if he does, what in the world would he say?!?!
    I’m waiting…..

  21. glambotgram says:

I am thinking Vogue because it goes with the Divas so well.
    So would
    Material Girl
    Dress you up
    Spotlight
    I always loved
    La Isla Bonita

  22. rs says:

Thanks glambotgram for the link to the stream. I am hoping that it stays for a while because I decided that I really can’t get up at 5:00 am to see it. Monday is my sculpture day. I have 2 classes and I am on my feet for 6 hours sculpting. I can’t be exhausted before I even start.

  23. dcglam says:

    Question for you guys….
Was Adam able to select this song along with the VH1 peeps or did Madonna request a specific song to be sung? Thoughts?

  24. Miss Chaos says:

God God Kradamour, my grandchildren are already like that, I hate it, 11, 12, 15. I cant even have them over for dinner any more, click click, buzz, buzz, Check the phone, it drives me crazy. I ask them nicely to shut down, or at least turn off the sound. Their parents dont care, its sick. Honestly I am glad when I go somewhere to get away from the computer. What I want to read when I get home will be there.
I feel so sad for these young kids and how they are going to grow up.
And heaven knows what they look at when they are on the puter or phone, as there parents dont care or supervise. I on the other hand have been kindly been pushed out of their lives cause maybe I am a busy body. I am so sad.

  25. Kradamour says:

Odd that VH1 music would tweet that.
    Question

  26. luval says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a young intern working at VH1 who had no clue about the Adam/Monte situation. Just knew that he was once the lead guitarist for Adam.

  27. TLKC says:

In view of the fact that the line-up is probably decided, the VH1 tweet doesn’t make sense at all.

Could be that someone tweeted VH1 about their past connection, as in “Did you know that….?” Perhaps they remember Monte from earlier involvements with Adam and band. Only stans like us know about the split.

Didn’t Madonna recently dedicate a song to Elton John at a concert? “I Forgive You” or something along those lines. It would be horrible if that came back as an answer. Monte will probably ignore it.

  28. jlurksacto says:

Mils, dancing on one foot and eating chocolate – take that @whoisjohnnyrice

  29. milwlovesadam says:

Yup, luval, methinks you hit it on the head.

Krads, your post, and our discussion in June or so about that article in Newsweek, is a concept that is very scary indeed. I have seen it in my kids and their friends too. I fear I may suffer from it to a degree as well.

It’s odd, but we have joked and mused about our addiction to Adam and his music and our blogging. I am invited to a get-together tomorrow for an early dinner. I should be home by the time Divas starts. I am recording it. I know fully well that there will be multiple ways to see every tidbit of it, and of the Red Carpet goodies too.

But, I almost didn’t accept the invite. The overlapping of times is the first thing that went through my head. I actually considered my surgery recovery as an excuse not to go. Then I had a little in the moment self-talk and made a conscious decision to go to the dinner. I know that I will catch up on all of Divas.

One more thing, being 29, my kids played video games only after I finally relented and allowed it to a small degree, knowing full well that they had access to them at other kids’ houses. But, I see this with younger co-workers who play the games themselves. They grew up with it. I was just watching a home design show ( love those ) and the husband was very keen on finding a house that would have enough room for he and his friends to play video games.

I cannot conceive of a husband sitting around and playing video games. It’s not part of my world. But, it is part of the younger generation’s world and priorities.

Of course, this is coming from a woman who blogs and listens to music as a hobby for a couple of hours every day.

One more thing that really bothers me is children being allowed to text and play games on their phones everywhere they go, and during dinner, and conversations, and just all the time. To me, it is soooooo rude and socially inappropriate.

But, in the next generations, when all kids are home- schooled via livestreaming, when there are no school buildings because of a lack of funding and infrastructure, because it’s not safe to congregate in large spaces, when malls and stores and theaters will no longer exist, I guess social skills won’t matter anyways.

  31. TLKC says:

Yikes! Just checked the replies to VH1’s tweet and it consists of a bunch of Adam’s most immature fans filling in VH1 on a split that a) is none of their business and b) they have incomplete info on.

  32. milwlovesadam says:

jlurks, are you still dancing from last night? And, are you going to recap or just keep eating chocolate??

And, most importantly, are you wearing any heels like Johnny whilst eating that chocolate?

  33. TLKC says:

jlurksacto, I bet you could dance a mad Fever with Adam. I still remember you, SUZ, Tchrsd and risky lady waving your raccoon tails at the bar of the hotel where we got our NOH8 pics taken. You’ve got rhythm!

So glad you, aely and “the riskys” (lady and hubby) got to see what may be Adam’s last Trespassing show on US soil for a while. I never did get to a Trespassing concert. Sads.

WOW! on Neil in the video. I love that Adam included him. Hope he got paid.

  36. milwlovesadam says:

So, jlurks, was that you we heard on the livestream doing the Fever glory note with Adam?

Tap Tap Tap. Waiting for you to share some chocolate with me. ( Hint)

  37. jlurksacto says:

    Nope, don’t share “coined” chocolate.

So sorry for your loss and your post-traumatic stress. Your home is your safe place. When it is invaded, it is like a violation. Sorry to hear that your husband is going away. My thoughts are with you as you work through this very bad experience.
