December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!

Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

Enjoy the chat! Happy Holidays!

Adam’s head snap tutorial video is priceless. So perfectly executed and so so funny.

This Divas gig is completely and perfectly suited to Adam. He gets to sing dance songs from some of his favorite divas, he gets to be the gracious host, he gets to be funny and cheeky, and he gets to be fabulous. And these are all things that he’s really really good at. And all of the fabulosity that he can bring to it will just make it all that much better.

    I. can. not. wait!!

  2. cwm says:

On an entirely different note, the school shooting in Connecticut is so horrible, so senseless, so tragic, so sad.

And just two days after the Clackamas Mall shooting in Portland.

    When will it stop?

  3. rs says:

    When will it stop?

When they take the guns away and make it lot harder to get them. There is something very wrong with the American society that lets these types of things happen so often.

  4. cwm says:

You’re absolutely right, rs. It’s very twisted. Makes me crazy.

  5. milwlovesadam says:

Twisted is right. Access to guns by mentally unbalanced people. Rights to bear arms trumps safety. Mental health care that is too hard to access. Mental health not covered by insurance. Laws about commitment that are too liberal. Guns sold on line.

    Guns. Guns. Guns.

We’ve had two very public incidents in my town in the last few months. The Sikh Temple and the Salon. My heart just bleeds for that school and community in CT. I cannot imagine what those parents are going through.

Here at least we know who the enemy is and can try and prepare.

These people aren’t terrorists or anarchists with a political agenda. They are usually lonely, sick, twisted, often paranoid (please, I am not trying to lay any blame here on the whole community of people with mental health problems. They are usually the gentlest of folk) minds who got an idea in their heads that festered until it exploded in violence. Maybe it is a side effect of a free society where bullying is allowed, violence is commonplace on the media, competition and individuality is prized over all, and programs that promote socialization, community, and helping others have fallen to the wayside. At least don’t give them such easy access to weapons in order to act on their fantasies.

I am involved here in a group that is working to bring arts programs back into the schools and one of its projects is called “Lets get to know each other”. It involves a group of 40 kids (20 Jewish kids and 20 Beduin kids) whose meetings consist of trips to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and to the Museum of Beduin Culture. After each visit the kids do some kind of an art project together. It is an incredibly successful project, the kids have a great time, learn so much and make real friendships. At the exhibition of their works at the end of the 8 meetings all of the parents are invited and the most common comment is how much the kids are alike!

  8. milwlovesadam says:

There is a lot of kindness and compassion here. There is a lot of generosity of the spirit. Just like in every place on earth.

There are also a lot of people who are sick here. Just like in every single place on earth.

And, now, with technology, there are a lot of people who have access to weapons, a lot of people who are isolated in a world of sickness and violent media, who foster sick ideas and play them out.

I predict that this will be a case of a young man who is mentally ill, whose mother tried desperately to get him to be treated by mental health professionals, who tried everything from being kind and understanding to tough love. And that this young man got a notion that his mother needed to be punished for what he saw as her crimes against him.

And with our liberal gun laws, conceal carry, etc, he had easy access to weapons. And with media so violent he had many concepts of exactly how to do this.

rs, you are helping to make the world a better place. Tikun Olam.

Whitney just came on my sound system – “Run to You” – still glorious.

  10. milwlovesadam says:

I just got off the phone with an old dear friend in CT. Her son attends elementary school near the school with the tragedy today. She received one of those awful text messages saying that her son’s school was on lock-down. How awful.

I know it sounds cuckoo, but, I’m looking forward to some entertainment tonight. Need to see something beautiful and positive to balance out all of this.

Nadine over at MJs posted this.

Looked him up he’s an Emmy-nominated TV writer, best-selling author, and Contributing Editor for Rolling Stone – lol

  12. milwlovesadam says:

Looks like somebody needs to tweet Mr Wild to take a gander at his own magazine’s on-line poll and comments section.

  13. AL says:

The thread for tonight’s Jingle Ball concert is up – a little early because I might not be back by the time the concert starts.

Adam is set to go on at 8 PM PDT. He probably needs to get back to LA to continue on with the DIVAs rehearsal so One Republic will close the concert tonight. Enjoy the concert!

    Adam Lambert‏@adamlambert

Sending energy to the families who are suffering this horrible tragedy…

  15. aely says:

This is going to be hilarious!!

    http://www.accesshollywood.com/adam-lambert-talks-vh1-divas-people-arent-ready-for-this-party_article_73900

It seems wrong to laugh right now but man, I needed a break. I work in child care with children that age, I just can’t imagine.

  16. aely says:

    Oh my!

@negativeneil: yes yes, .@dannygokey no one has ever killed in the name of God you f*^#*ing moron

Only his is spelled out. Wow! He is on a tirade.

  17. luval says:

Thanks for saying that aely. Don’t know how to feel right now. I almost feel guilty but I have to have a break right now. Been watching non-stop since 3pm. And with the shooter identified at Adam Lanza…that name is too close to our boy’s.

  18. Kradamour says:

Generally i pretty much ignore these mass killings…without a television, I am spared wallowing in them. There is nothing I can do to help, and if I have no link to those who are affected, I feel voyeuristic if I follow too closely on line
But the horror of 20 families losing a child at Christmas made even me cry.
Sending up prayers – which is all that I can do – and moving on.
    Rose

  19. glambotgram says:

The happenings on this day are just too tragic for words. Working in an elementary school that is also in a small town and K-4 just makes it all so personal for me. Sending prayers to all the families of this small town. I can’t even imagine.

  20. glambotgram says:
  21. luval says:

omg, glambotgram. I watched that video before and didn’t even notice! So that’s the other Lambert. lol

  22. milwlovesadam says:

    Thanks glambot. Hmmmm. Neil?

Looks like somebody wants in on some Diva action….

    On a different note:

I’ve been looking at Neil’s twitter today. It’s not surprising that he is taking the stance he is at all. He can’t stand Gokey for reasons us fans know so well. And, he is a history/poli-sci major, who knows all too well that there are two main reasons for war and violence. 1) ” I want your land” 2) “In the name of God, I want your land, and you all must die so I can have it.”

He always weighs in on issues like today’s and takes stabs at people who claim to want to help by invoking God or who use religion to put forth an opinion. He is very vocal. And gets a lot of shit for it. He loves the fight. He doesn’t give a shit who he offends.

I’m not saying I agree with him, I just get a kick out of his freedom of expression. And his snarky sense of humor. He is quite intelligent. IMHO.

  23. milwlovesadam says:

That opening comedy sketch sounds all kinds of self-deprecating humor awesome. Let’s hope he goes from Divas straight on to SNL.

  24. luval says:

I love these comedy openings as we’ve seen before on the Emmys & Oscars. I hope it doesn’t bomb! I know many people don’t know who NeNe Leakes is. I’ve been watching her for several years on Atlanta Housewives. She is intelligent and very funny!

  25. milwlovesadam says:

luval, she also was on Glee last season, and is on New Normal. She skews to a younger comedy audience too. IMHO.

She’s very funny. I don’t watch any housewives shows, though. Not my cuppa.

  26. milwlovesadam says:

Having Neil as a pianist plays right into the hands of us Glamberts. It’s an inside joke for us. Love it.

  27. milwlovesadam says:

I posted this last week, but, listening to this turned up, way up, is quite cathartic tonight. Music therapy for today. Pounding and head pumping…

  28. TLKC says:

I don’t know who NeNe Leaks is but I hope she’s good to Adam. Also hope that bit is pre-taped so that he has nothing else to do but focus before he takes the stage.

Of course, the final show will smooth out all the kinks.

Neil is an angry young man in every sense of the word but you wouldn’t know it seeing the pics of him as he and his fiance were prepping latkes. He looked like a new man. His girlfriend said that she is looking forward to sharing this tradition with he children. I wonder if they are engaged. Could be a wedding in Adam’s future after all. just not his. Yet, anyway.

Thanks for the Rolling Stone update. I just wish they hadn’t blamed Adam for it.

  29. milwlovesadam says:

Going out on a limb here.

I’ve always been a “fan” of Neil’s. Going way back to early times when we were all “over there” and people began to notice him and his snark on tour. His old blog, etc.

Yes, he lets his “anger” show. In person and in writing. I have personally seen him in bad form on tour, and in good form too. Up close and personal. I actually have had more face time with Neil than with Adam!! I find his writing and political bends interesting. He backs up his opinions with facts. He’s not just a blowhard who doesn’t do his research.

Could he be nicer? Sure. But then he wouldn’t get the attention he does. Could he do some maturing? Sure. Life is a journey for everyone. He’s a young man.

I know a lot of young men just like him. Maybe it’s an ethnic thing, but I feel like I “get” him and his snark. I also find it somewhat amusing how he and Adam are like yin and yang. But, both are highly intelligent and can throw snark when they want to. It’s also obvious that Neil has a soft side and a terrific sense of humor.

His relationship with Elisse seems to be the real deal. And she knows better than anyone else what she has there.

IMHO. Not trying to be defensive here at all.

  30. luval says:

I’ve seen her on both shows, mils. She’s the only one of the “Housewives” who’s sort of made it in the industry. And she has a huge gay following. Not sure why, though. Confused

  31. milwlovesadam says:

luval, I have a feeling she’s popular in the gay community because she is an outspoken and bawdy personality. Quite OTT. But lovable.

  32. luval says:

Perfect description of her, mils. She was the Grand Marshal in a gay pride parade on Housewives and they just went crazy over her. And she gave the love back.

  33. milwlovesadam says:

    She’s also fierce. Muwahahaha.

  34. TLKC says:

Holy cow at all the jeans Sauli has. I wonder whether living with Adam has made him more of a clotheshorse or whether he has the same genetic make-up, with a smaller budget.

BTW, I don’t agree on the Queenbert US thing. There was some speculation on the Queen fan club site that Adam was chosen by them because they had a US tour in mind and expected him to pull American audiences in a tour.

His latest figures may have them wondering but I checked out the Queen + Paul Rogers tour and found taht the Top venues were:

    Hollywood Bowl (Capacity 17,376 – 94% sell-though)
    Pacific Coliseum, Vancouver (17,500 – 79% sell-through)
    MGM Grand Arena in Paradise (16,400 – 89% sell-through)
    DCU Centre, Worcester, Massachusetts (15,000 – 84% sell-through)

Other notes: San Diego Cox Centre (capacity 12,000) was only half full. With Adam it would be full.

Also, they did Buffalo instead of Toronto, which was a big mistake! Canada is a rock-and-roll country. They didn’t go to Montreal, either. These cities are where We Will Rock You and the Queen Spectacular played very successfully. Not to mention, Adam is extremely popular in Quebec.

According to the figures, they only sold 60% of the capacity in East Rutherford NJ but with Adam and the travelling Glamberts they could definitely fill a New York/New Jersey location.

I do think Queen’s priority will be Europe and Japan, where they sold really well, but the US is by no means a poor market, just a selective one.

  35. TLKC says:

FYI, mils, from me “Angry Young Man” is a compliment. I am very political and I love Neil. Was sorry when his first blog was destroyed by a fan who was ransacking it for private pictures of you-know-who. I can see why he’s not crazy about us sometimes. Not to mention Danny Gokey.

  36. ultimathule says:

With you, Krad – no TV

  37. milwlovesadam says:

TLKC. All is good. Peace Rose

  38. TLKC says:

I don’t watch that much TV but I can’t imagine not having one. It is indispensable in an election year.

There are some very good programs on the air. West Wing, Mad Men, The Good Wife, UK series like Downton Abbey.

We would never have seen Adam on Idol without one.

  39. TLKC says:

LOL mils! Same here Big Smile

  40. ultimathule says:

    The President’s statement was perfect.

  41. ultimathule says:

I find TV perfectly dispensable in any year.

  42. milwlovesadam says:

LOL. If I didn’t have a TV I wouldn’t be subjected to Gokey commercials here all the time. As if all the bad news wasn’t enough today, it was a Gokey crap-fest of eyewear commercials today.

Every time I see one it reminds me of the scene from My Big Fat Greek Wedding where she gasps in horror at the bridesmaids dresses she didn’t pick out.

  43. Kradamour says:

I find TV perfectly dispensable in any year.

    With you, ulti.
And TLKC, I would say especially in an election year, at least in the States. My news from the newspaper and the radio (including the CBC online and BBC online and Radio France online) has far more depth than the random soundbites and incendiary ads on the television. Happy to say that I didn’t see a single political ad in the presidential election, and I don’t think I missed anything of importance or relevance.

Totally one person’s opinion, though. I know a lot of people who think I’m nuts.
    Grin

  44. HK fan says:

I only found out about the shootings a little while ago, didn’t get to check the news this morning like I usually do. Still haven’t really caught up on it, but so sad and shocking.
Soembody posted some gun crime numbers on FB (I presume for this year), there has been 8 in the UK, the next highest to the US was 30 something, and the US was over 10,000. Something needs to change with the gunlaws over there.
we had our own drama here this morning which pales in comparison compared to the shooting, but scary none the less. We were broken into last night, luckily only cash, a few bits of cheap jewellry and my husbands long service gold coins were taken. But the fact they were in here while we were all asleep is sobering. We’ve had the police in all morning. My disabled son sleeps in our ground floor, in an open plan room, which is where most of their time was spent. The thought that they must have gone over and checked on him,is heart stopping and it seems they may have gone into my older sons room while he was asleep too. The police then found a knife from our kitchen drawer outside in the flowerpot, so they must have armed themselves…….
luckily we’re all OK, and it could have been so much worse, they left all the laptops, camera and phones that were very visible.
I could do without my husband flying out sunday night though, I know I shall be on tenderhooks every night…
Thanks ladynorth for posting the other link to the Adam video, he’s looking soooo good in all these promo vids despite melvin!!!

  45. milwlovesadam says:

Be safe HK. How awfully scary and creepy. You must feel so violated. Hugs going out to you.

  46. dcglam says:

  48. AL says:

HK fan, sorry to hear that that happened but glad that no one was harmed. Give your kids an extra hug today!

  49. ultimathule says:

Is that a 2013 calendar? Wow – if it is, pay a pretty penny for that one.

  50. HK fan says:

We know quite a few people its happened to here, I suppose we’ve been lucky it hasn’t happened to us before. Its usuallu II’s or mainlanders. At least here the burglars tend not to really disturb anything, just take what they can fit in their pockets, if it was the UK the whole house would have been trashed…
