December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.

I’m not sure what to make of that World Music Awards thing. This article about it says that it’s going to happen on Dec 20 in Miami in Marlins Park stadium, but so far, there’s been no announcement about who is booked to perform on the show. TIckets go on sale tomorrow.

It looks like the awards are based on a combination of worldwide sales and internet voting.
It’s cool that Adam is nominated for Best World Male Artist, but so are 68 other people! There are 69 nominees on that list! Some of them very big names. So honestly, I can’t get too excited about Adam’s chances of winning, especially since the award is based on sales and public internet votes. And they don’t have Trespassing nominated for Best Album, nor do they have Adam nominated for Best Live Act, durn it. I know, I should be happy with a Best Male Artist nomination, but 69 nominees is crazy!

My smart TV is smarter than I am. I don’t know how to DVR, TIVO or what not. Got a couple of DVD players, but still can’t get them work. Hubby couldn’t do it either. It could be because of the AT&T and U-verse pakage thing.
I’m really disappointed. I was looking forward to see Adam on my TV for 2 hours. Went out to get 60″ smart TV. Got the U-verse package and now this.
I’m very sad right now. Hot, hot shower makes me feel better. I’ll do that. I may cry al little bit in my shower.

asif if you have uverse you can record so easily you’ll laugh at yourself. just use the ATT remote and search for the show you want, or find it through guide and press record. If you have ATT internet, you also do it online.

Asif, I just re-read your post. In the states you don’t need a DVR with UVerse. You just program through your ATT remote. The “master” control unit in your home is the DVR. You program and use recorded TV with the remote.
We have a DVR box from ATT U verse on one older TV. The other newer ones don’t have any DVR unit. You probably need a service call to set up your stuff. You can negotiate the fee with them by being fierce. HA. I do it all the time.

I know that it is small comfort, but I and doubtless others will be thinking of you during the show. And as oksana pointed out, it will be rerun and rerun. Yes, it would be nice to see it the first time, but when you see it, it will be the first time for you!

We’ve invited her to come to visit or stay or live with us many times but she isn’t ready yet. It’s also her family’s tradition that everyone comes to her house for the holidays. Her children and grandchildren come to her house.
AL and mils, I’m afraid to call for a service and I’m not good at negotiating.
I felt so stupid just a month ago. We were trying to turn our heater on. Checked the furnace in the basement and everything else including the thermostat. Nothing happened. A friend came to help. Nothing happened. So we called for a service.
And guess what, behind the thermostat cover which we couldn’t open .. almost ripped it off, there was a switch to turn it on and off.
That’s it .. just turned it on. And they charged us a frigging $80.

I’m so happy to see Vintage Trouble getting that great exposure on Letterman last night. They are awesome; Ty is amazing. I bought their album way back when when Adam first introduced us to them, and I really like it. They definitely deserve success.
Yep, rs, they sure are. Wading right into the very core of the question by taking on these two cases. Been in all the news here today. Wow. I so fervently hope that the decisions go in favor of marriage equality. It’s always a danger when the Supreme Court takes a case that their decision will go the wrong way, but this one seems so clear (at least to me) when viewed from a constitutional equal protection/equal rights perspective. I’m cautiously optimistic, but it does make me nervous.
On the Court now, we have 2 Reagan appointees (Scalia & Kennedy), 1 GHW Bush appointee (Thomas), 2 Clinton appointees (Bader Ginsburg & Breyer), 2 GW Bush appointees (Roberts & Alito), and 2 Obama appointees (Sotomayor & Kagan).

I like his couch! For some reason, I’m always curious to see how people live in their daily lives. Not in a stalkerish way, but rather because it places them in context, reveals tidbits about their tastes, and makes them more real.

I saw what Cece said about Adam and just lol’ed. I mean, she got a bum deal on the X-Factor, but it is a reach to compare herself to Adam. Lyndsey Parker does say, though, that Cece was the most relevant singer for today’s Pop scene. The X-factor is so bad this year, especially Brittney. I don’t know what they were expecting, but she was a waste of all those millions that they paid her. You have to have some modicum of intelligence or wit or ability to articulate to be a judge on these shows, not to mention terrible song choices for those she is mentoring. Her girl is doing well in spite of her, not with the aid of her mentoring.

I’ve been watching some of x factor on line at mj’s. Have thought Cece was awful all the way through, bad singer, and she just seems so insincere and fake. Can’t see her having any success after the show. Didn’t actually think any of them were much good to be honest, at least not to become stars.

Sorry, cher – ’tis true – he’s adorable, but, for me, doesn’t do it.
I just watched this video and agree, rs, that there is no way Adam’s insane talent can be compared to Cece’s. However, she seems to be a Glambert and very much inspired by Adam which are good things. During the show I did appreciate her uniqueness and determination to be herself. She seems to have drive and ambition, so only time will tell as to what her musical future holds. Cece will soon surely see that it is not easy out there!
I’m thinking Adam’s picture is used because of his theater background. Playbill and Broadway world are very supportive of him.
A lot of the other names are more talk show and style people. Love Carson-he’s such a hoot. And Andy Cohen, too. And, to me, it’s Whoopie who I want Adam to impress. She wasn’t on the show the day that Adam was at the View. So they haven’t met yet.
All I know is, there is a lot of show-biz “power” on that bill. It’s a great gig for him.
Wonder if he went to that Mike Ruiz party? Wonder if Sauli came to NYC?
