December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!
Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

Agree with Miss Chaos over at MJ’s about an Adam/Kelly duet – would much prefer Jordin or one of the others. Find Kelly good in a certain range, but really unpleasant when she goes high and loud. So perky and cutesy, too – Mary Tyler Moore-type. Rather have him with someone sexier, like Aurea.

Josephine, that may be part of the issue…the idea that we would think “why didn’t he just take Sauli with him” implies that he is Adam’s to take. Or leave. And that somehow Sauli’s schedule is less important than Adam’s.
When he is with Adam, he is merely an appendage in many eyes. (no matter how loved an appendage)
To be his own person, he has to be apart. Sauli is successful in his own world, but not at Adam’s level here.
The house…maybe it is also that Sauli doesn’t feel comfortable being “kept” to that degree. I think it is true that he could not afford that house, or his half of it. Maybe the guys are trying to balance things.
I remember an interview with a marriage counselor who specializes in same-sex “marriages” (whether legal or not) and his point was that gay men have a double whammy on a long-term relationship: relationships are always hard to maintain, and here you have two spouses with testosterone.
I wonder also if it puts some stress on the relationship when Adam is repeatedly asked if he is thinking about marriage and he always emphatically – and publicly – says no.
Who knows…I definitely don’t.

Hoping for the best for them, whatever that turns out to be. It seems that both of them are committed to the idea of a relationship, and if there is any stress at the moment, where there is a will there is a way.
It is easy to observe and contemplate what you see but having had some beautiful relationships in my life and having to move on, I just feel that something is amiss—sometimes you become so invested in someone,,,,you may be mistaken——I only wish happiness and success for our Adam, so be it!!!!!!
Just to add to my public thoughts, I was so touched by Adam’s comments about not ever considering “marriage” as an option in his life being as he was a “gay man.” I never thought of it that way and it really made me sad but I can understand–he touches my heart so many times—-
Adam’s calendar appears to be filling up with 2013 dates all over the world – can’t imagine Sauli wanting to show up at all these places like some camp follower – would think he’ll be doing his own thing as he’s always intimated. They’re both good guys – sure they’ll arrange things for the convenience of each. Can’t imagine they’ll ever be at odds with each other – the clash in Finland last year may have brought out any lingering problems and thus resolved them.
Think they’ll both be fine.
Agree with ultima, I don’t think Sauli wants to have the image of a “groupie” following Adam around. He said things in his Fault magazine interview that gave me that impression.
There is so much we don’t know, but we do know that Sauli will spend Christmas here, and that he will be visiting Finland sometime early next year. After the 16th, Adam’s schedule is clean except for NYE in Bali (I do think he would take Sauli there, maybe stay a few days.) January right now is empty – maybe it’s for moving out of the house. Who knows when the Vietnam and possible Jakarta concerts would be – Feb, just before Korea?
I also think – guess – the hate to Sauli may have bothered Adam, and maybe that is why we are seeing very little of them together, and expressionless. And the constant, annoying adommy drumroll. One of my Twitter followers tried to tell me the other day that Adam would soon kiss Tommy again on stage. Geez – they are really delusional.
Separations are hard, but they had to have known that would be a constant.
Hell, we don’t even know if Adam will stay in the US. Or in California. He said he would like to live in NY, has also said he would like London.
I do think though, that the similarities they share in background, likes, family, are special enough that both would want to keep the relationship. Hope so, anyway.
ETA: Btw, in his latest blog/advent calendar posted on the 6th, Sauli said he would skip a couple of doors because he wouldn’t have access to a computer on the weekend, so maybe he did join Adam in NY for the weekend. but kept out of signt.

I read so many comments under photos that peeps write about them: Oh they are so much in love! Oh, this will be eternal! Oh, this is a forever relationship! Oh, they are perfect for each other! etc.etc.etc.gag.gag.gag…
On the other hand, Sauli is a beard for Tommy.

In persepctive:
Adam and Sauli have been an item for two years. Sauli has been embraced by Adam’s family, and vice-versa.
They share many interests and much recent history and have something of a common background in reality tv.
Adam has said numerous times that he isn’t thinking marriage.
Adam has said numerous times that he is in a great relationship.
Both Sauli and Adam have expressed the desire for a lasting relationship.
There is at least something of a language barrier.
Sauli is far from home and his family, but has said that he loves LA and the United States.
They have matching oofta tattoos.
They dress alike.
Each is the other’s stated “type”.
Sauli has been good for Adam in a variety of ways to do with health and fitness.
Adam has introduced Sauli to LA.
There is significant difference in their financial affairs. (this is tricky for any couple)
The press is intrusive and creates stress when they go out.
Sauli must have met many of Adam’s brief “exes”; he is nobody’s fool.
And he is not a part of the glamily, although they seem to be welcoming to him. Adam is part of a tight clique when he is performing and there is no way for Sauli to be a real part of that.
Adam is 30 and conscious of coming to the end of his youth; he will soon be 31.
Sauli is trying a lot of different projects and seems to be making his way in the world, even if not at Adam’s level. He doesn’t seem to have a particular talent, but is hardworking and interested in a number of things.
Sauli is very positive – I can still remember the aura I felt when he passed by me at Ste Agathe. He seems to actively seek out ways to stay happy and has a sunny personality. Seems to be happy in his skin.
Adam is more complex, by his own admission, and can chew on things and fret. He has self-image issues.
(I thought that it was interesting in the magazine article above that Adam said it was hard to get dressed, he knew he would be watched and judged, or something like that, that men are judged just as much as women are for their appearance.)
Both have a great sense of humor, and that humor seems to be compatible. They are both quick-witted.
Again, though, the language barrier.
I think that sums up a lot of what we know about Adam, Sauli, and Adam/Sauli.
I wish them the best.
But both are still young, and if this doesn’t work out, they seem to have learned a lot from each other and from the relationship, and will carry that knowledge into the next one and build on it.
Remember that for Adam, this is only his second “real” relationship. He has said that in love, he is more like 20 than 30. It would not be too bizarre for him to think that he perhaps has more to learn/explore about love and relationships.
My two cents, for what they are worth. Maybe nothing. Just some thoughts.

Over at the Wendy Williams site – not too happy about the three-year-old vids and comments she’s got there about the AMA’s and a rumored make-up line. Is that all she knows about him? Hope for more than that disappointing (for me) interview with Matt the Blue Duck guy.

About Adam and Sauli – we really don’t know what the situation is. I have noticed there’s not so much love shown in public as before. But can’t say is it just the normal phase in a longer relationship or something else. I am sad if they separate because I think they fit each other very well and it’s not easy to find a true relationship if you are a celebrity – but it’s their life and they have their own reasons whatever they do. On the road/jet lag life is definitely not easy for relationships
And Sauli doesn’t seem a toy boy type who can be taken anywhere anytime (and he got a lot of shit for being in Japan in August). But we will see how things go, hoping the best and happiness for both of them!

I just read the recent posts where people are speculating about an imminent Adam-Sauli break-up. Why? Because of a few photos without PDAs, because Sauli didn’t go with Adam to New York? When I saw those photos from LA the first thing that struck me was that Sauli was wearing Adam’s boots! Of course he would need a different size but it just showed me how close they are becoming. The worst possible thing for a celebrity relationship is speculation as to it’s future, so I will leave it to them to decide it in private. Sorry but all the discussion just makes me feel like I am treading someplace where I don’t belong. I hope I am not insulting anyone by saying this, I know that everything written here is written from love.

I totally agree, rs. Adam and Sauli always rein in the smiles and the PDAs around the paps; that’s nothing new. The thing that strikes me most in those pap pics is how much alike they look! Whether or not Sauli goes with Adam on various trips means nothing; they have their own reasons for Sauli going or not going. And the house? Well, we know nothing, but there could be a lot of reasons for moving out of the house (altho it’s a bit of a bummer because we know how much Adam loves it). The danger is that speculation starts about the reasons for leaving that house, and then the speculation begins to take on a life of its own, and suddenly, Adam and Sauli are on the verge of breaking up? It’s way too easy to make false assumptions about things about which we have very little information.
Let’s keep in mind that just a couple of days ago, Sauli posted on his blog “my siippa is home now and life is smiling.”

re the house. Its very normal for people in HK to move very 2 years. Most people rent, leases are for 2 years, and its very common for landlords to hike the rents up, so you either pay up or move. Maybe Adam has just decided that the time is right to buy rather than paying out 10k a month on rent.

He was incredible – pretty full Melvin. But so handsome. And his ease, fluidity, sense of humor, intelligence – all came through. The man belongs on the screen – the bigger, the better.

I hope this is a mix-up or technical error of some sort – but AO is currently unavailable, when I try to go there I’m directed to a screen stating that the domain expired on 12/9/2012. According to twitter many others have seen the same problem this morning.
Either someone at RCA screwed up and forgot to renew the site, or it’s very bad news for Adam regarding his future with RCA. Hope we find out which soon.

I would much rather Adam sing with one of the best singers in the business, than one of those wannabes. He needs someone who can hang with him and push his creativity.
