December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!

Love that report about Chinese fan groups. Adam’s got a good team going for him.
I don’t know if you guys know this but, just before Adam went to China for X Factor, there was an attempt to wrestle leadership away from @glamidol. It happened on Twitter and the person/people doing it appealed to fans on the grounds that @glamidol disliked Tommy and refused to present/promote Adommy.
I have no idea whether this was just a power play and they used Tommy/Adommy as a wedge issue or whether they were really butt-hurt Tommy fans. (Something similar was attempted in the UK before Adam went there. Radio stations started asking fan groups to contact them and a bunch of them popped up overnight and tried to claim “officialdom” over the site that had been working hard in relative oblivion for months.)
I checked the “new” group out and saw that most of the signators were Adommy crays but there were enough tweets and comments defending @glamidol’s right to tailor her/his content and presentation as she/he saw fit, given that it was a Communist country and that she/he could get into trouble if she/he started transmitting certain things.
Anyway, @glamidol held her/his ground and is doing a great job and that written thank-you from Adam makes it pretty much official now. Congrats to her/him.

Thanks for that article, cwm! That’s how it is, Adam has chosen to be true to himself. And I agree with your musings too, rs. What comes to my mind is that there has always been SOMEONE who does something for the first time. Things that are ordinary now, have been horrible to the parents of 60’s. There has always been someone who has courage enough to do something no one has done before. I think Adam is that kind of person, he has enough courage to take a risk. I believe it won’t be gay club choreography for every song – only in certain songs. Something else in other songs.

I’m a huge Tommy fan so I follow a lot of Tommy lovers but I am pretty happy about Johnny replacing Tommy in Fever. Though I’m as susceptible as anyone to the action, I much prefer the new, tongue-in-cheek approach to the dead serious in-your-face approach of GN. Adam has to grow and change – he is too young and too creative to be repeating himself.
ETA: NVM LadyNorth, I just checked out @glamidol’s Twitter and see that I inadvertantly provided background to yesterday’s dust-up. I love what she/he says about earning 20,000 followers. Looks as though they are claiming freedom of speech because she crops photo’s to show Adam only etc. She’s getting some major love from internationals, though.
Nice to see that paperwork was filed for a Shanghai show. Hope a few more inland cities are added. An interior tour would be big.

On another note, in my Newsweek today there was an article about sex ed in China and about how it is a cultural taboo to talk to children about sex and that the schools uniformly don’t have a sex ed program. But, that HIV is up 13%. And that women have a huge amount of abortions and use the morning after pill a lot. They relate it to lack of knowledge about sex and reproduction overall in China.
