December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!

Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

Enjoy the chat! Happy Holidays!

Well, I’m not familiar with this joke, but for some reason I feel I should be.

    The Cow From Minsk

A town in Poland had only one cow and it stopped giving milk. The townspeople did a little research and discovered they could get a cow from Moscow for 2000 rubles – or one from Minsk for only 1000 rubles. So, naturally, — they got the cow from Minsk.

It was a great cow: had a wonderful disposition, and gave lots of milk and lots of cream. Everybody loved it dearly. The people decided they would mate the cow and get more cows like it, and then they would never have to worry about their milk supply again.

So they got a bull and led the cow and the bull into the pasture. When the bull came in from the right to mount the cow, the cow moved to the left. When the bull moved in to mount the cow from the left, the cow moved to the right. This went on all day.

Finally, in desperation, the people decided to go ask the rabbi what to do. After all he was very wise.

They told him the story. “Rabbi, we’ve tried all day to mate our cow. When the bull moves in from the right the cow moves left and when the bull moves in from the left the cow moves to the right. What do we do?”

The Rabbi thought a moment and asked, “Did you buy this cow from Minsk?”

“Rabbi!” they replied as one, “You are so wise! We never said we bought the cow from Minsk. How did you know that?” The Rabbi said, sadly, “My wife is from Minsk.”

I still can’t access anything with sinaimg in it, so all these photos I’m missing out onFrown
aely I could open that dropbox one you mentioned a few pages ago.
Ron, I never really notice Tommy either…me ear doesn’t really hear who is a great guitar player and who isn’t…although I hope I would notice if someone was really crap. He seems sweet enough, but I don’t find him that attractive or charismatic, he’s just there. Although I much prefer him to Monte, there was always something about him I couldn’t put my finger on.

  6. milwlovesadam says:

    Hi!! Waving!! I’m from Minsk.

Well, my great-grandparents were! Seriously, they came here in the 1890’s from Minsk. And no, I don’t know the joke about the cows.

BTW: Fiddler on the Roof was based on Minsk ( the shtettle, or Jewish ghetto ).

  7. aely says:

Cher Thank you I will get in touch one way or another! Smile

hkfan Tell me the pictures you want and I will change them into dropbox so you can see them.

Since all the banning is going on I just signed up at MJs and posted for the first time. Anything you think should be posted? I want to be sure it gets comments.

  8. milwlovesadam says:

Oksana, that is a great joke! I can’t believe I have never heard it.

And, hey, I’m not related to that Minsker!

  9. dcglam says:

Thank you, Oksana, for your retelling of that joke. Not an easy thing to do, but you did it with such great details. Mwah…. Kiss

  10. Ron says:

So the punchline is that the Rabbi’s wife doesn’t like milk? Confused

    ROTFL Kidding.

    Poor, frustrated Rabbi. Wink

Thanks Oksana for taking the time to type the whole thing out for us!

  11. AL says:

Although I was happy to read that Adam got his own thread at “the blog that shall remain nameless”, I just want to post a friendly reminder that what happens there should stay there. Most people come here because they want to read about Adam and his career. Other blogs or bloggers are not the topic of discussion here. So please keep the conversation on Adam and not how you or he are treated elsewhere!
    Thanks! Blowing Kisses

And speaking of Adam coverage, I will create a China thread for all the goodies of his recent trip there. Quite a few great photos and videos have been posted so it will be nice to have them all in one place – a one-stop China shop! Please give me a few days because real life is being a pain right now. But better late than never!

  12. cwm says:

Thanks so much, AL! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: YOU DA BEST!!

  13. milwlovesadam says:

Okay. So I just posted this over there. I’ll be banned for sure. If any big fan contacts me, I’ll direct them here. I would love to see some of them find us here.

Thank you MJ for giving Adam’s fans a sandbox to play in. Yes, there certainly are other sites for his fans, but this one covers so many other things too.

If anyone wants to flail one on one with me in private, I’m at his fansite too. Same name. Adamlambertfans.com

  14. milwlovesadam says:

Oooh. AL. Just read your post. Point well taken. I just hope to draw some of them. I guess we have strong feelings because we all “met” there.

    Okay. Done.

So it looks like the non-tour tour is non-tour touring Asia in Feb and Eastern Europe in March. Big Smile

  17. milwlovesadam says:

Okay. Wow. So, at this point, it’ll be Europe in April/May. South America in June. Africa in July. The North and South Poles in July. Back to Asia in August/September. Timbuktu and NeverNeverLand in October. The Moon and the Stars in November and December ( needs time for inter-galactic travel).

I predict a US non-tour in 2014 at this rate.

  18. AL says:

Thanks so much, AL! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: YOU DA BEST!!

Thanks but it’s you guys who are the best! You keep the blog going with videos, pics, concert connections and mostly positive posts. Adam is lucky to have everyone here as fans! And we are lucky to have connected here as well! Hug Left ALL Hug Right

  19. milwlovesadam says:

I just have one more post ho duty.

On this Saturday night here the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is putting on a Music of Queen. It will have a full rock band on stage with the orch and the singer is Brody Dolniuk. He is a Vegas performer. Apparently there have been several versions of this already done.

I You Tubed him, he’s okay. He’s no Adam. Nobody is. We all know that.

However, the reason I’m posting this is because in the ad/article about it today, this was said:

Freddie Mercury passed away 21 years ago last month, and with his death came the end of one of the best vocalists in rock history. But his music has lived on via band performances with the likes of Paul Rogers and Adam Lambert, and the hit stage musical “We Will Rock You.”

This is the first time that I have ever seen Adam’s name written in a major newspaper or magazine in print connecting him to the Queen shows, not online, ever. It also shows that the writer knows about Queenbert.

    Finally.

I’m going to write the author an email of gratitude.

Oksana … The Minsk Cow joke is so funny. LOL!! ROTFL

Mils, I love Fiddler on the Roof. Have a DVD and watch it all the time with my daughter.

  21. milwlovesadam says:

asif, I just adore Fiddler. I have seen it a gazillion times and still just love it. I have seen the stage play 5-6 times too. Once with Topol, a real treat. His voice in a live theater is just booming, and he has such stage presence too. In that production, the actress who played the eldest daughter in the movie, played Goldie the wife.

And, of course, our guy Adam “discovered” his true talent while doing Fiddler. I think he was playing the lead town man in the pub, and during “To Life” there is that big long note and he wowed the audience. After that he started serious voice lessons.

  22. Oksana2000 says:

I am glad that you all liked Minsk Cow joke, but you give me too much credit for telling it. My English is not that good, so I had to find a site with jewish jokes and copied it.

  23. asifclueless says:

Love AYGGMW and the duet so much.
    Here is the lyrics.

Are You Gonna Go My Way by Lenny Kravitz.
    Lyrics:

    I was born long ago
I am the chosen, I’m the one
I have come to save the day
    And I won’t leave until I’m done
So that’s why we’ve got to try
We’ve got to breathe and have some fun
Though I’m not paid I play this game
    And I won’t stop until I’m done
(But what I really want to know is)
Are you gonna go my way
(Please baby) and I got to (please) got to know (I got to know) yeah

I don’t know why we always cry
This we must leave and get undone
    We must engage and rearrange
And turn this planet back to one
So tell me why we got to die
And kill each other one by one
We’ve got to hug and rub-a-dub
We’ve got to dance and be in love
(But what I really wanna know is)
Are you gonna go my way
(Please baby) and I got to, got to know (I got to know)

Are you gonna go my way
‘Cause baby I got to know, yeah

    Heart

Awwww, according to this MSN Portugal article, Adam invited Aurea to duet with him. I thought it was Hennessey’s idea, but apparently it was Adam’s. Love him, he is such a generous artist – and she got the Glambert bump (and deservedly so, she’s fantastic).

You know, I’ve been thinking. If we want to attract more fans to this site, we could use Twitter more effectively. Several of us are on twitter and have followers that aren’t just each other. If a few of us tweeted out the links to show threads when the threads go up, we would likely attract some new fans to the site from our collective twitter followers.

Is that something we want to do? Or do we want to avoid actively promoting the blog on twitter and let it grow more organically?

  32. cwm says:

Yay – sounds like they’ve arrived back in LA (if Adam is actually on the same flight as Reyna and Johnny)! Reyna and Johnny both tweeted about 40 mins ago that they have landed in LA.

And Lee Cherry tweeted today that Adam will be signing those fancy framed prints tomorrow.

  33. riskylady says:

Hehehe, had to tell you guys this. Hubby was watching Stephanie Miller’s show this a.m. and someone mentioned the casting of Carrie U for The Sound of Music on NBC, and her co-host asked, “Will there be banjos?” LOLOL.

  34. riskylady says:

I think Adam is back – I feel a warm glow which could only be his aura geographically enveloping the US. It will only grow warmer on our flight to San Francisco….

  35. cwm says:

And he tweets! He’s back! LOVE this pic he posted to instagram:

One doesn’t have to be Jewish to love and appreciate Fiddler. I LOVE “Fiddler On The Roof” and think the movie version is brilliant!

Did you know that Norma Crane who played “Golde,” Tevye’s wife, didn’t live to see the movie? She died before its release in 1972. Big Frown

One of the most sensual moments in the Duet was when Aurea stroked his neck and he then turned his head down to the left with his eyes closed – now that’s a turn-on.

  42. Ron says:

The eagle has landed? Adam’s home?

He made it home up that steep driveway that he’s described where you have to start up then go backward, turn to the left, start up again and scrape the bottom of the car as you finally reach the top.

I have a picture of it and it’s not that deep it’s not that steep. Laugh

Always relieved to know when he’s home safe and sound.

The same way I feel about everyone here.

  43. ultimathule says:

The Singing Waiter awaits – awesome.

  44. TLKC says:

I think that’s a great idea cwm. I tweet out links to other Adam-related sites all the time. I hadn’t thought of it but it would probably bring in other fans. We should do it.

Love the Minsk joke. I am a huge fan of Fiddler on the Roof. One of my favourite actors, Brent Carver, played Tevye in a production at Stratford (our Shakespeare festival in Canada, which is one of the best in the world.)

Carver is tall thing, frail blonde sweetheart of a guy, so the casting was off-beat but he was brilliant. Carver also won a best-actor Tony for his performance in Ebb and Kander’s musical version of Kiss of the Spiderwoman. It’s a role that I would love to see Adam perform. He would be brilliant in it. The friend I am staying with in New York has a “Glambert”-sized crush on him and I used to patiently listen to her talk about him for hours.

So of course, now, she has to listen to me talk about Adam. And she does, bless her!

  45. milwlovesadam says:

Ron, off topic, I thought of you last night. There was a special on PBS about Rogers and Hammerstein. Many many snippets of Broadway and movies. Just wonderful.

Also, on Glee this week Lea Michelle does a Babs song. When Being Good Isn’t Good Enough. Brilliant.

  46. milwlovesadam says:

TLKC I think we should find a safe way to bring in other big fans. Just don’t want to see haters find their way here. That’s why I tried being covert. IMHO.

  47. TLKC says:

Lol, Ron. The plane left Shanghai late and it’s a long flight. He probably staggered out of the car. I wonder what kind of unpacker he is: a.s.a.p. or manyana.

  48. milwlovesadam says:

    Sauli can do the “unpacking.”

    Ba dum bum!

And with that moment of perversion, Good Night Gracie!

  49. TLKC says:

Well, mils, it will be interesting to see how your covert “Operation ALL” does. Glad to hear that Adam’s Asian concerts have received some deserved attention, though.

I loved Adam’s duet with Aurea. It was exciting when Adam came out of the floor – reminded me of the Idol tour. Tommy’s guitar on that song was a notch-up, imho. I am no afficionado but I really missed Monte’s guitar at the beginning of the year. Tommy’s been growing and the experience of carrying shows has improved his craft a lot.

(I don’t know who mentioned that Tommy’s Sleepwalker was better than Monte’s but I prefer it, too. When Tommy performs it, he plays Orianthi’s version from the cd. Monte did his own version for the GN Tour. Orianthi’s version rocks, especially the guitar solo.)

  50. TLKC says:

    Yikes mils! LOL.
