December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!
Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

Fwachdr…it’s the People end of year double issue Best &Worst of 2012. Cover is photos of 26 souls that lost their lives in the Newtown tragedy.
If The Queen Spectacular is touring North America next year it’s unlikely that Queen and Adam will come here in 2013. It would have to wait another year. This may be why Adam sounded hesitant about Queenbert USA. He must have known about this. Which means we may have mis-interpreted his words. They could play here, just not next year.

TLKC …looking at the Queen Extrava. Tour dates they are pretty much all in January and August. Couple of dates early Feb. Nothing in between. Kind of odd. At this point I can’t see Queenbert happening. Will be interesting to see how it sells in the U.S. cities. Tomorrow I’m going to check the capacity of them.
The thing about being a fan of Adam, is all the speculation. Just when we think we have things figured out, BAM, he surprises us with something. Look how Divas came out of the blue. Yes, we do know him pretty well, at least we think we do.
I love to speculate as much as anybody else. I predict that he will be non-touring for all the dates we know about. I predict there will be at least 10 more gigs added in Asia or even in Europe around the Russia and Finland gigs. I predict he will write and even do some recording, maybe in London, all year, even while touring. I predict he may come to the states to do some one-off’s or a cluster of shows periodically. I predict at least half of the year over-seas. I also predict South America and even Israel for gigs.
And. On a bummer note. I hope his relationship with Sauli stays strong. Adam is so emotionally connected that I think our collective hearts would break if he had a broken heart. I sure wouldn’t want to see his relationship in the tabloids.
And. People. I actually predict some kind of movie or TV thing happening. He was so fantastic in his hosting, comedy and performing at Divas that there is no way he went unnoticed.
What do you all predict?
And. More fashion. More fashion shoots. More fashion shows. He could even walk a runway. It wouldn’t surprise me at all. Gah. Adam strutting his stuff. At the Blondes. Gah. Get the ice. Glambert on fire.
I cannot even begin to speculate about Queenbert. I just know I want it all, I want it now.
Okay – sounds like a plan. We can compare to the Paul Rogers Tour and see which markets they are covering/not covering.
Not surprised that they are playing so many dates in Canada. We are a Rock-loving country and Queen was big here.
Y’know something, mils? This is actually one thing that I’m not worried about. Not because of all the “oh, they are so much in love!”/”Oh, it is a forever love!” (gag gag) posts all over the net, but because they both seem very sane, both very aware of their relationship and its impact on each of them individually and together, because they have both expressed the understanding that a relationship takes work, because they have already had a small trial by fire in Finland and been in the tabloids and not liked it, because they both have supportive families who accept and are supportive of the relationship, and because they are both strong and independent peeps with individual careers that are sufficiently alike that they can understand the needs of the other.
As a navy wife for 20 years, I can vouch for the fact that absences are not necessarily bad things. Reunion includes lots of stories to share of activities during the separation, and separations allow issues to keep from boiling over. Sometimes distance enhances perspective (like an impressionist painting).
Add that they are not getting any younger, and that each of them sowed a good bit of wild oats in the past, and there is a lot of incentive to work through any issues toward a maturing long-term relationship.
This is all just MHO, of course.
(Plus they would have to get the matching oofta tattoos removed, and lasers are scary.)

I agree with Kradamour.
The “non-tour tour” is only 5 weeks long at the moment. It may grow by a couple of weeks but there’s no reason to think that Adam and Sauli’s relationship can’t withstand a two-month separation. The 2012 radio tours were quite long. One of them was a whole month. Not to mention that they managed to deal with being apart 6 weeks out of 8 this fall.
Adam and Sauli appear to be pretty happy with each other at the moment. We are all agog at the affection they showed each other on Sunday but seem to forget that a fan reported similar behaviour on the night of Danielle’s concert a few weeks ago.
Is their love forever? Almost nothing is today. Is it in danger of caving in any time soon. Doesn’t look like it.

Hey guys, in no way shape or form did I mean that I didn’t think their relationship couldn’t last the non-tour. Honestly, I was just postulating that in general, I hope it lasts a long time. They seem to be so happy and so in love. I was just saying that if, and I mean if, they ever break up, the heartbreak will not only devastate him, but it will be hard for us too. It’s not easy to see someone hurting. I am not wishing that on anyone. I think they are in it for the long haul. It seems like a “real deal ” love.

Juneauxena just posted this video of “I want to Break Free” from the second night of the London Queenbert concerts, the pants ripping incident. I don’t know if it is a new video that just popped up, but it is fantastic and very close up when he goes down into the pit. It brought back such wonderful memories and I laughed through the whole thing. His facial expressions, the way he kept his cool and didn’t miss a beat of the song, the way he can laugh at himself and take everything in stride, are just amazing and the sign of a true entertainer who just loves what he is doing.

rs, that’s riddle. This person is from Japan and I was standing in his/her immediate vicinity that night. (Could have touched Adam when he came down but was afraid to give him my cold!)
This videographer is a mystery to me. She/he filmed all 3 nights. None are as close or as good as the 12th and all of the 12th are magnificent. I have copied and numbered them all and watch them over and over.
What I like about this particular video is how the fans reach out for Adam’s hand, even the Queen fans. One of the men shook his hand.
Luckily, the security guard in the yellow shirt was small that night and didn’t ruin the sightlines. The other two nights they were really big guys.
No worries mils, I got that you were worried not predicting. I worry, too. You have named some of the fears we are all having, in differing degrees, over the last week.

I have been thinking about Adam’s answer to someone asking him what are his resolutions.
I think it is very telling. He is never one to think about the past, whether it’s the AMA’s or as small as saving a souvenir from a GN show…he doesn’t do it.
I could probably take a lesson from him.

luval, good morning to you, too. I am not quite sure what you are saying. In his New Years Resolution Adam doesn’t say anything about not dwelling on the future. I think that he has lots of control how he plans for and manages his career and he will work very hard to get what he wants, including making adjustments and changing directions when he sees that they are needed. What he doesn’t have control of is how he is received or what other people do. Those are the things that he can’t dwell on or fear. He has to learn to live with them and get on with his life

I just love that I want to break free though, its so close, and you really get a feel for the interaction between him and the audience. And it shows his playful side and his ability to improvise whilst still singing and not missing a beat.

In the video turquoisewaters posted, the commentator says Madonna loved Adam’s performance of “Ray Of Light” on VH 1 Diva’s.
I’ve been looking for a recent interview article to confirm this where Madonna is quoted as saying she loved the performance. I haven’t found anything.

rs you are correct. He doesn’t say anything about the future. Sometimes I get the sense that he’s frustrated (when asked about Queen, Trespassing tour) because they may be beyond his control. So he keeps himself fixed on the “now”.

I have our thread from Queenbert July 14th bookmarked, it has two different multicam mixes from WWTLF and all of riddles videos. I exercise to Queenbert as often as I can. It still just amazes me.
TLKC, I am so happy you were right there to see it happen right in front of you. Epic isn’t even a strong enough word. Iconic is a start.
That “new” vid of the pants ripping and what a pro he is just was yet another reason why he was able to stay so calm and pull off what happened during Ray of Light with his in the ear failure. Adam is a seasoned professional who brings years of stage experience and stage problems and “show must go on” mentality. There aren’t many who could have handled these snafus as well as he did.
What would Kanye have done if these things had happened? He would have punched the sound guy. Or stormed off stage with his ripped pants .
Well the infant did puke on stage and keep going. Yuck though.

Hello dear friends. It almost never fails that we share the same ups and downs regarding Adam but thank goodness not at the exact same time. I myself felt the same sense of loss after the Diva’s show as some of you simply knowing that I wouldn’t have the opportunity to see Adam live for quite awhile. This means that we won’t have the opportunity to see each other “live” for quite awhile as well. There is always the Toronto film festival in the Fall and who knows, there may be some Adam concerts in places that wouldn’t be too awfully expensive to travel. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had the time to actually plan for a trip to some far away place and combine it with a mini vacation?
rs, I hope Adam comes to Israel. Wouldn’t that be the best? The IWTBF vid you posted is one of my all time favourites. He was such a great sport about the whole thing and looked so spectacular that night. Makes me wish Melvin would go away.
I wanted to share a visceral reaction I had when Adam came out in the “Cabala tent” for the ROL song. I think I shouted out “this is why he will never be mainstream!” It took me about a minute to settle down enough to be able to listen to the song and appreciate his voice. Since then I have re-watched many times and now love the performance. So….I can only guess that many folks wouldn’t go back and listen again and again to a performance they initially thought was ridiculous and therefore many folks may only see Adam as some type of over the top showman. Adam has always said he is not everyone’s cup of tea. I think that is absolutely true. It may be that the US and the UK will never really get him in any mass way as an independent performer. OTOH other countries seem to love him just the way he is. Not worried about Adam always having someway to have a successful career. It just may take having multiple paths depending upon the demographic he is interested in conquering.
In case I don’t have a chance to post again this year I wanted to wish everyone a happy and healthy 2013.

We were very lucky mils. A few other fans won tickets to stand at the front as well. cgesq, tchrsd and northern spirit were all nearbye. imho, the pants split was a gift, based on how Adam handled it. If there were any Queen hold-outs in the crowd at that point, Adam won them over. A perfectly “Freddie-style” silliness that you can only find in people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Adamized, I haven’t forgotten about the Toronto Film Festival. We should do it. A lot of fun and some terrific entertainment. You and Kradamour can grab luval on the way up and all three of you join us in TO. Maybe a few others? The tickets go on sale in August. Plenty of time to figure out a game plan.
Not to mention the Queen Convention in the summer. If that turns out to be interesting or to have special guests, a weekend here might be fun.

That was the night that I was in the first row balcony so I had the bird’s eye view of the show. We couldn’t see much of what was going on when Adam was down on the floor, but couldn’t stop laughing when we realised that he had ripped his pants. He is such a trouper. Have I said that I love the man?
TLKC I will probably be going on a Scrabble tournament/tour to Peru in the beginning of October, and if I am already on that side of the Pond, I will come to Toronto to visit my family afterwards. I don’t know if it the same time that the film festival is on, but we will definitely get together.
