December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.
A lot of holiday cheer to look forward to!
Choosing a photo for the monthly threads is never easy. However, it’s his most recent look that is getting attention. Since it may not last long, I thought that most of you would enjoy the look from the Mnet Awards – fierce, defiant, always unpredictable Adam.

TLKC Yes, that Queenbert flu this summer was so bad it did leave us a bit gun shy re: foreiegn travel but as time goes by….it gets easier to picture. We’re talking about some Asia travel, wishing we could make a vacay out of seeing Adam. Have never been to Japan or Finland or Russia for that matter and would go in a heartbeat But those are going to be too COLD when our boy is there and I’m a FL girl now! The warmer places like Singapore and Hong Kong I’ve already visited. But Hkfan watch out I could be headed your way!You never know. Must be tickets somewhere! That would be fun.
I,too, want to reunite with my Adam fan compatriots and share some dinner evenings(Wikes Barre and London were just so great) but these places are so far away! Anyone know who might be going where?
I’m afraid that this might be a limited time opportunity to see Adam (and I do need a fix!!!)We just don’t know what’s going to happen in the USA or North America or when, if anything at all. So I hate to miss all the Asia possibilities. Sometimes it’s hard to be an Adam fan. Miss everyone and would just love a North America set of dates..road trips, flights whatever!

Needing a fix indeed
Two days of Christmas songs was enough to me. So today I have watched couple of movies and then desperately needed Adam on big screen with great sound. So first GNT DVD and then the whole 2 hours Kiev Queenbert concert. My ears and eyes are fixed now 
I am afraid what’s gonna happen when I’ll get my live fix – how am I able to survive after that!

Lady North – The picture you posted is in Balboa Park, in San Diego. It is a very large a regional park. It has a World Class Zoo and also a performing arts amphitheater. Adam performed there around the time he dropped out of college. His dad lives in that vicinity. Nice pic, thanks for posting.

I love the links to “old stuff” that members drop in here. Since retiring early, fortunately at the same time as I saw Adam audition for Idol, I have attempted to download and collect every Adam performance I could find.Then I needed to learn to convert to DVD. Sorted!I have now managed to get it into chronological order and often go back and watch much of it over and over. I call it my Adam Anthology. I have also made many friends through him,and wonder what my life would have been if I hadn’t seen him leap and spin down the pavement waving his golden ticket after his idol audition. I am an Elvis fan from the early days but needed something new. I certainly found it!
Have been watching the Star world channel a fair bit today (the one that shows Idol), and they have started showing Idol adverts, and reshowing the top 6 from last year (haven’t watched) and twice today I saw a long Adam advert, him singing wwfm, with some clips from Idol, but also a new message to star world watchers (filmed recently as he had Melvin), its great, made me smile
Hi kiwi, We seem to have similar stories. I also took early retirement since the place where I worked for 30 years closed on March 31st, 2009, just in time for me to get into my Adam “addiction”. He saved me at a time which could have been very bad. (I know, familiar story.) But I am nowhere as organized as you as far as the collection of his works. I just watch everything and download things to Realplayer and make cds of the things that I want to hear in my car. I bow down to your superior organizational skills and patience to do all the work involved.

Just had Christmas with a Zepellin-loving brother who thought we were all terrbly deficient in the news department because we didn’t know that Obama had given Led Zeppelin a medal. My bringing up the fact that Adam sings a mean WLL didn’t help. Better check it out.
WOW! Just came back in after putting out my garbage and shoveling the front of my house – about 8″ of snow. I guess some of you are experiencing much worse than that at the moment. A lot of people in the Northeast are stranded and the authorities are encouraging them to extend their holidays.
Interesting to hear about your 2009 experiences kiwi and rs because they are similar to mine. I fell in love with Idol towards the end of Season 7 and began Season 8 as a keen watcher from week one. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Then, in the first week of February, I was down-sized. What is a workoholic with no job and not much of a social life to do? From Top 13, when Adam sang Black or White, I didn’t just have a passion, I had a PROJECT.

Hi RS and TLKC, good to know others had a similar story to myself.I did start off collecting all sorts in any order and had such a mess of DVDs that when people asked for something, no chance of finding it,so I spent a wonderful cold wet winter on my “project”. Reloaded it all onto a DVD player and redubbed it onto discs in chronological order.
I laughed at the word “project” because that’s exactly what I called it.I had a friend who was mad about WLL, so another winter’s project was collecting every video for her and putting on disc as a gift…I do love a project!
I also keep a list on computer so I can check what I have. I learned such a lot about downloading ,converting and printing discs. I soon grew to hate the plain DVDs so I bought a printer to print them and they now have Adam’s face all over them…Lovely.
Adam is responsible for my increased computer knowledge (which friends marvel at) as I was a dressmaker and factory worker most of my life. Now that I have december Adam up to date I’m going away for a few days to visit family.Fantastic, a 4 hour drive with Adam blasting and me singing along.
Next I must get a laptop so I can take my lifeline with me. Alas not just yet.
Ooh I so love your retirement stories. In Florida on vacation doing everything on my iPhone. Getting a bit hard on these 29 year old’s eyes! I do admire those of you whom have sorted, downloaded, and chronicled. Gave away a Kiev CD on Christmas to some 40year olds. They like Queen and remember Adam from season 8. Were Playing pp c since they lean towards folk. Happy NYs again JIC.
Yes Adamized, retirement is fantastic! People ask “don’t you get bored” I answer “no!I don’t know how I had time to work!”
Of course, I did also sell my city house and buy a gorgeous wee rural village cottage with a largish section so I also have a vegetable garden and planted lots of fruit trees.
It’s also very close to beaches and a mountain so there is plenty of non-Adam to do as well. I’ve also become a grandmother so that means trips to New Zealand’s South Island as I live in the North Island.I also find I have a lot of visitors who enjoy getting away from the rat-race for a few days.
