December has arrived and that means that 2012 will soon be over. Adam has been “trespassing” all around the world lately and currently finds himself in China and will wrap up his 2012 with a New Years Eve concert in Bali. But before the year ends with a bang there is plenty to do on his home turf. He heads to NY for “Cyndi Lauper and Friends” and a TV appearance, then hops across country for a radio event and a little “Diva” hosting thang.

No thanks to Hkfan? who posted the Queen/Adam concert vid. 1 and 1/2 hrs later I have not started making the large tray of potato salad for the family get together, have only wrapped 2 gifts so far, it’s 3:25am EST and I have to be at work in 6 hrs! No sleep again.

This is the first Christmas Day in nearly 20 years that I haven’t worked. I always volunteer to work ( Hospitals never close for holidays, as many of us know ) so that my co-workers can have the day for their holiday. So, I will do what I grew up doing on Christmas Day.
Lots of people ask me every year, what do you do on Christmas?
My answer is usually, that since most people have the day off, or kids are home from school, we all get together and have Chinese food and see a movie. A very Seinfeld answer, but very true.
So, today it’s the best Chinese place in town, and Django Unchained.( I just love Quentin Tarantino movies. I know, he’s really “out there” but I love his sense of twisting things up and his snark and music choices ) Hubby won’t see Les Mis with me. Need to save that for someone else. But. Les Mis will be seen!

Before, I spent most of my holiday seasons in the middle east where we worked. But in 2009, my daughter graduated in December so we came to the US for her graduation, Thanksgiving, X-mas, and New Year.
We were in DC during X-mas time. DCGLAM … Do you remember we got big snow storm that year? Something like 25 inch of snow. Too much for me who grew up in hot climate in Asia.
Anyway … to make my short story longer …
We celebrated X-mas Eve with friends and didn’t know what to do on X-mas Day.
My daughter said that her best friend who was Jewish always went to Chinese restaurant and saw movies with her family.
Then .. we went to the best (Tea-smoked Peking duck) Chinese restaurant and went to see the movie “Nine”.
My best memmory evah.
Also the Smithsonians in winter are gorgeous and not crowded.

Happy Holiday’s everyone. This x-mas my family and I are counting our blessings like no other year. Husband had a heart attack Dec.1st and while things were crazy for a while, we are blessed that he is ok and a very lucky 57 year old. Got up real early today, maybe was thinking of the movie with Jimmy Stewart,It’s a wonderful life, and imagined how my, and my kids,22 and 17,lives would have been very different today, had things not gone the way they did. So I am so very grateful this holiday season and wanted to take a minute and wish everyone else a Merry Xmas! Sorry for rambling on!

Yes, asifclueless…. I do remember that wild and crazy winter! We were hit with a huge blizzard that December, then another one in February. Schools were closed seemingly forever, and even the government was shut down for many days during all of this inclement weather. I hope your daughter’s graduation ceremony went off as planned — not sure of your exact location at that time.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to every one of you. My family arrived a little early last evening for our usual Christmas Eve Dinner, right after I posted about Shahs of Sunset. Brother had been called in to work in someone else’s place, so we did our meal early. I had planned to go alone to see Les Miz this afternoon, but the rain is coming down by bucketfulls. Not getting out in this; but, as mils said, it will be seen!
Thinking back on some of the posts here in the past few days, I’m so happy that several of you have been able to connect with family members–whether you traveled or family members came to you. Happy Birthday is in order for a couple of you–Happy Birthday to apal123 and Miss Chaos who have celebrated recently. And LadyH, sorry to hear that your husband has been sick. I know you all are much-relieved to know that he is feeling better as the holidays are here.

Staying home on Christmas, wearing sweats or pajamas all day, and watching movies is a family tradition. my husband makes an egg and sausage casserole. We have snacked on shrimp, scallops in garlic sauce, and baby hotdogs in sweet/sour sauce. Later we’ll have a ham. So far we’ve watched The Santa Clause, Pitch Perfect( very cute with Glee type music), Abe Lincoln-Vampire Slayer (actually really good) and now they’re watching the latest Batman. Next, I’m pushing for Rock of Ages. Have decided to wait for Le Miz because I’m a sobber and always look horrible after crying.

Thinking ahead to the non-tour, our chances of videos are pretty good, especially in Japan, home of riddle, the excellent videographer of the Queenbert concerts. The first quarter of 2013 will be full of concert threads and videos. After, that, adventure! I feel it.

Hi cwm (waves), Good to see you. I saw that Opel has come out with the Adam. I would love to think that it is in honor of our Guy. They must have thought of him if one of them is called the Glam Adam! I think it is geared towards his young fans, though. It looks like a little car.
I loved that Sauli-Adam tribute. There is so much love there. It just fills up my heart to know how happy, fulfilled, and enriched it has made him. Not to mention the boost to his personal self esteem.
Long-time lurker here – there seems to be a bit confusion with the Dubai gig – this has nothing to do with Adam – Nicki Minaj has a gig there and Keisha will performing with her before she goes to Bali.
