After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

You know whats worse than having a song stuck in your head when you get up, or during the day? Having a stinkin verse stuck in your head, and you dont know what song it goes to. I dont really need to play the whole album to figure out which verse is playing over and over in my head and dont know which song its from. It goes from one verse to another I think I am going

I am definitely on the “Percy Positive” bandwagon. I am completely in awe of Adam’s accomplishments thus far with Trespassing. The amazing iTunes numbers and rave reviews speak for themselves. Then, add to the mix his upcoming concert schedule which includes Queen. My friends, we have NOTHING to worry about.
Me neither. I am thrilled with #1 on Itunes for 2 days and all the good numbers on Amazon, B&N, etc.Idol performance is coming, NCOE goes for REAL ads nxt week, the gigs keep coming. THat People in LA magazine is impressive. He’s out there. It’s always going to be UPHILL for him. He’s being noticed–that tweet from Bieber was unexpected and….
I do wonder though, where are the million and half twitter followers and even some glamberts…aren’t there a million of us out there? One million X 1 album each and we’d make history! He’ll never be out of my life! NEVER!!!!!
OMG. Adam will be in London on June 9th (didn’t they say he would basically be living in London for June and most of July) and yet he comes back to San Francisco for a gig on June 24th? Then, presumably back to London to wrap up rehearsing with Queen for the July 3rd Moscow concert?
Then, finishes with Queen on July 14th and rushes back to California for July 19th Costa Mesa concert.
Are the same people who organized GN US tour organizing this?

Just poking my nose in to ask why Adam’s sales are not reflecting his almost 1.5 million twitter followers? Even with illegal downloads you.d think that 100,000 wouldn’t be that hard to hit. That’s only 7 percent of his followers.

The band and Adam need to communicate better, now that there are back-up gals, and the backing tracks for effects, knowing that Adam likes to riff and change things up for every single song every single performance, they will need to go with that flow better.
During the IHeart Radio, I can’t remember which one it was, but Adam was talking, and they started too quickly, cut him off. I’m sure that he didn’t like that.

The Hollywood Reporter interview is excellent! I was on the phone when a friend emailed the Link. I only read a few bits but thought it would be something worthwhile to post here. Now I’ve read it through and it’s very interesting.

Yes, I really like the Access Pass for the autograph session so I wanted to show it to you! Slick, very nicely done. It has a long black cord so that you can wear it around your neck. Of course, I will not be wearing it around my neck and spoil whatever it is I’m going to wear … what ever that turns out to be.

Hello Ron! I just sent my analysis to you for Trespassing.
I had thought that Adam would open with 80,000 sales and am still hopeful. Just been on MJsBigBlog and a lot of people seem to have expected 65,000 to 70,000 so I am comparatively optimistic. Not giving up yet.
IMHO, the news so far is good.
Also, according to posters on MJsBIGBLOG, some Bieber fans with big followings are tweeting about Adam’s cd today (probably because Adam was so nice about JB’s single) and some Britney fans are doing the same.
The key point in the Billboard article is that Adam is trending at the high end of expectations. It’s always good to surprise people in a positive way.
This week could end very nicely for Adam. The cd follow-up weeks may show the usual drops but I think the sales will build by word-of-mouth – the cd is so good.
Ron, be prepared, they probably will “make” you wear that around your neck! It’s your pass into the thing. At my M&G ‘s we had to wear them ( per Neil ). It’s for security.
Don’t worry, with Adam around your neck, it will only enhance your ensemble! ( Not that you’re not fabulous without it!)
The idea that Adam would be anything other than enhancing is beyond me. I will make Ron wear it.
The pass is lovely and an amazing souvenir. I have a huge shiner and rarely pose for pics in the best of times but I let Adam take a photo of me right after we picked them up.

HDD forecasts based on sales from selected retailers and selected locations. They do not get sales from Play.com which runs the Sony store and a lot of fans preordered from AdamOfficial.com.
Interesting! I know a lot of people who bought from AO, including myself and hubby (just got digital copies yesterday). That could be a wild card too!!
We don’t know how many of his followers are international fans. So those sales will not be included in the US #s, right? Although, US followers should definitely be more than what the #s are reflecting.
I just wrote to LA Weekly and begged shamelessly for them to sell copies of that issue…the article seems to have been written by someone who did research and didn’t know a lot about Adam before he was assigned the article. I really liked it, it is quirky. Wonder if Adam really said “stink face” or if it was a misunderstood “stank face”?

Re sales numbers and how can so many glamberts have bought so few copies – I wonder how many honest-to-goodness fans there are? Twitter followers don’t tell the story, IMO. Adam doesn’t tweet enough for someone who is less than a rabid fan to bother to unfollow him if they aren’t totally engaged. And a fan who is less than rabid may well take their time to buy an album, wanting to see what other peeps think first. These more casual fans aren’t necessarily reading
dozens ofreviews from all over the country…they need to hear from a friend that it is good. (shrug) From what we have been hearing/reading from Adam and others, the label is pretty invested in him. I am not afraid of him not touring – that is where the money is, these days, and I think that Adam has proven that he can sell out a house regardless of radio play/singles. I think, too, that his label would recognize that Adam’s fans aren’t like the fans of other artists – so many people in the industry/reviewers have remarked that. If I was RCA looking at whether or not to keep Adam in the stable, I wouldn’t throw away this fanbase.And there just has to be grammy nomination(s). Record labels don’t throw that away, either. In more than one review, the phrase “album of the year” has been tossed around.
