Yet another fantastic, flawless, incredible show! Amazing vocals, fun dancing, lots of smiles; Adam, Bri, and Roger all killing it from start to finish. AND OH OH OH!! I was just a couple of seats away from the barricade and got a hand swipe from Adam during Radio Gaga!! In Love

I’m uploading videos of some choice songs, but the hotel internet is veeeeerrrryyy slooooooooow. I’ll post the playlist when it’s done.

    Great review!

  9. ultimathule says:

Just great, luval – so much fun to read a review where the reviewer really gets it –

  10. mmm222 says:

Oh yes to everything cwm said! I was standing next to her and got an Adam hand swipe too. Not quite the champagne spew we got at the last Philly show, but still exciting. We were at the thrust next to Roger’s drum kit and got a great view of the hilarious interaction between Adam, Brian and Roger. Adam kept cracking them up. At one point Brian and Roger looked at each other and raised their eyebrows as if to say, “This guy is too much!!!”. The Philadelphia audience was really loving it too with lots of singing and dancing throughout the show. Now we’re on our way to DC for the last show in our marathon. Nkd flew home this morning but we will be joined by other ALL’ers in DC.

Yay! My videos are finally all posted! Slow internet at the hotel and on the train made it take forever, but just got to adamized’s house so was able to finish up lickety split on her fast internet.

    Here you go! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUttTV1NgEJUGqf72TRjDPjiNJHg1BP3c

There’s some good stuff in there! It’s a selection of key songs for which I had a great view. And you can see the show from the vantage point that mmm222, adamized, nkd, and I had. In Love

Here’s my recap of the magical experience that was the Philly show:
I had been looking for a ticket to the show for about a week. I was checking StubHub every few hours. Missed out on a good seat on Wednesday and was pretty bummed. On Friday morning, the same seats were showing on StubHub so, on a whim, I checked out the “Best Available” ticket on the Wells Fargo website. Section 2, Row 2 popped up, the Section at the end of the thrust. I couldn’t believe my eyes!! I quickly bought it and let mmm222 know that I would be joining them for dinner and the show. So Sunday I left my house at 3:00 and drove to the restaurant. As my phone was saying that I had arrived at the destination, I saw a space on the street. I parallel parked (with the help of a guy on the street) with about 6 inches on either side. Parking turned out to be free. As I walked up to the entrance, I heard my name being called by adamized. We went in and met her son and daughter-in-law…

  18. sparkle says:

Counting me, there were 9 of us for dinner, including ALL’ers riskylady, mmm222, nkd and cwm. Dinner was delicious – pizza, salad and fried cheese balls. It was great seeing nkd again, she’s always such fun and I got to meet cwm for the first time! I had been thinking of driving to the show but decided to take the SEPTA train with the group- The Sensational Seven! The station was less than a block away and we arrived to see the WF Center and the Trucks. We all thought of luval! Tshirts were on sale outside so we purchased before we went in. The Fab Four (mmm222,adamized, nkd and cwm) found their seats first and they were much closer to the thrust than they had hoped. My seat was amazing. Talked to the women behind me. One was wearing a Queen and Paul Rodgers tshirt and the other had been to Roger’s birthday concert. When I told her that I had been to the Toronto show, she said I was really lucky because that was Brian’s birthday concert and he was her favorite…

  19. sparkle says:

First Queen show where I sat by myself so it was a new experience. The couple in front of me stood at the barricade so I ended up with a clear view of most of the thrust area. For some reason, no one came for 2-4 tickets in Row 1.Crazy!! Because of this, there was a big pocket of open space in front of me. Several times I just let the music wash over me, as I think mmm222 had suggested. I noticed Brian had on sparkly sneakers and thought this is Adam’s influence. My only minor disappointment was not getting up to the barrier in time to possibly touch Adam.

  20. sparkle says:

It was amazing to be so close to see details – Adam’s sweat, the reinforced knees of his silver pants, the embroidery on Brian’s shirt, the tears he wiped away, the expressions on their faces…if you ever get the chance for a really good seat but have to sit alone, go for it!

  21. sparkle says:

After the show, cwm collected a bunch of the gold confetti and we all met up and took the train back, talking all the way. We got back to my car and we said our goodbyes. I drove home, singing and reliving parts of the concert. Got home at 1:20 – the last 10 minutes were rough. So it turned out to be an eight hour trek that I wouldn’t have missed for the world! Thanks to everyone, especially mmm222 for keeping informed about the group’s plans. It couldn’t have worked out any better!!!

  22. sparkle says:

Thanks for the Amazing Poster, creativesharka! It’s perfect!

  23. luval says:

    Great great recap, sparkle!

  24. sparkle says:

Thanks, luval! Wish you could have joined us!

  25. cwm says:

Hi gang – I’m in the Denver airport on a layover, flying home after our huge QAL adventure. Don’t have enough time to properly recap now, but suffice it to say that last night’s show was a peak experience. More details later!

Here is the playlist of the videos I took at last night’s show: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUttTV1NgEJWTYMWzu8vqTv96PEVy5W3_

Good stuff in there! I’m really pleased with the way the videos turned out – I had a perfect vantage point for all of the action on the B-stage (Bicycle Race, STL, CLTCL, Under Pressure, LOML, etc.). Thank you riskylady for scoring those great tickets!!

  26. cwm says:

Also, it was fantastic finally properly meeting asif in DC and sparkle in Philly, as well as catching up with glambotgram last night in DC!

  27. ultimathule says:

Very happy your trip turned out so well, sparkle – sounds like you had so much fun meeting up with everyone – good times –

  28. cwm says:

I accidentally posted my Washington DC video playlist here on this thread (at 2:45pm); sorry for the thread confusion!

To clarify, this is my playlist for the Philadelphia show: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUttTV1NgEJUGqf72TRjDPjiNJHg1BP3c

We had great seats on the left side of the B stage, so I would especially recommend watching these vids for the close-up view we had:
