Exciting times are upon us as July begins! Adam has just completed an outstanding first full length concert with Queen at a charity event in Kiev, Ukraine (as captured in the photo above). Five more Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are lined up for Moscow, Wroclaw (Poland) and London during the next couple of weeks. Adam will then return to the United States to play a series of solo concerts during the second half of the month, including gigs in Costa Mesa, Sacramento, Des Moines, Thackerville (Oklahoma), and a much anticipated return to the site of one of his first and most memorable concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. All told, Adam will perform in 10 live concerts this month, which will make this his busiest month for live performances since November 2010 when he was in the European portion of the Glam Nation Tour. AL…Brian May’s soapbox is so heartfelt. I hope he will want the show to go on…if only for a little. They are in a band which includes Adam…Adam is such a strong pivot and front-man…wow….all these accolades. I hope Adam will have time to fit this all in and continue this journey. But he says he loves multi-tasking so hope it all works out.

This is exactly how Wilkes-Barre felt. All joy and love and smiles. I think there were enough fans at the Queen gigs too for Adam to know at least a good part of the audience would be on his side and screaming, no matter what.

I remember a radio interview in London where the interviewer asked quite frankly “why did Queen pick you out of all people?”, but then conceded that if Brian and Roger liked Adam, he had to be good. I do hope that lots of radio/TV people read these reviews and see videos, so they can fully appreciate what a terrific choice Adam was. And that they support Adam with Trespassing and any future projects.
Oh oh, Glamberts take a listen. Giuliana Rancic from E Entertainment doesn’t like the idea of Adam being a judge. “he’s not seasoned enough & he’s always wearing sunglasses at indoor interviews”. She indirectly called him a diva too.
I’ve heard her in the past making ewwwwww noises & faces when guests were mentioning Adam.
You know, peeps who make the ignorant comment that Adam is not “seasoned enough” obviously do not know Adam at all. The guy has spent the majority of his 30 years on stage. You really can’t get much more “seasoned” than that!
luval, I’ve always wondered what made Julianna Rancic a celeb??? She doesn’t think Adam’s seasoned enough – that’s funny, because that’s what I’ve always thought about her!
Giuliana??…I’m not a fan. Personally, I think she should eat a burrito…maybe she wouldn’t be so cranky!!
ETA. I agree…if she really knew anything about Adam, she wouldn’t make either of those statements. He is a seasoned professional and he DOESN’T “always” wear sunglasses in an interview.

Hey, I have nothing against Rancic, she is fighting hard against breast cancer, has been very open about her fertility problems before the cancer, and is expecting a child through a surrogate soon.
I do, however, agree that she needs to eat some real food. She is beyond stick thin. If she is that bony on air, in real life she is just painfully thin. Even before the cancer, too too thin.
I’m not surprised that Adam is getting dissed on air. He seems to usually get negative press. He’s an easy target. Which makes us protect him even more.
ETA: I’m not a fan of sunglasses in interviews. Mr. Eye Contact shouldn’t wear them during interviews or press conferences. IMHO.
I would never have heard of Rancic if I hadn’t watched the red carpet for Academy Awards and have NEVER heard of Celebrity Rap Superstar. She is showing her ignorance on the subject of Adam. He is no more a diva than I am. Maybe she’s afraid he’ll take her job!
If Idol is what Adam wants, then so be it, and I’m happy for us to see him on TV…but I dislike that it will bring out the haters.

I can only remember seeing Adam with sunglasses in one interview. (although, I’m sure there have been others). This one…an E interview, of course with Giuliana narrating. This I think was right after one of the Queen shows. Probably had red eyes.

I watch her reality show and have been following her career for years. She hasn’t been nice in regards to Adam. Always doing the ewwwwww on Fashion Police. Thank goodness for Kelly O.

Mils I’m not a fan of the sunglasses during interviews either but I figure there’s a reason he’s wearing them, because he rarely does. My guess is that during these times, he has tired eyes…and tired eyes and lights don’t mix too well. IMHO

mils, I have nothing but compassion for Rancic for her fight against breast cancer – my husband and I watched his mother fight this illness for a total of 14 years – cancer won. But her illness does not make her opinion regarding Adam and AI mean more to me.

You’ve probably guessed that I’m a huge Sauli fan. I was just at Idol Forums where they have a Sauli thread and they are calling his facial hair Melfinn, after Adam’s Melvin.
I posted on the other thread that I’ve ordered the new Fault, with Sauli featured in it. Any other takers? Only two weeks till Des Moines and Adam. Wish Queen was coming with him, but I’ll be happy just to see and hear Adam again and meet a few of you there. As Sauli would say, Yah!!!

I’m trying to connect the dots. Adam is evasive when discussing when the next tour will be. Maybe he had rumors from his people about the American Idol thing weeks ago. Also the Queen gigs play into this too. And of course we wants to try & get more singles out. (I say good luck with that unless RCA puts out). He says he can multi-task so he would have to fit touring (with Queen & without)into the Idol gig if he gets it. The Idol dates are pretty much set in stone with the network. If he isn’t asked he can fill in the idol slots with other things if he wants. Always planning ahead, that boy. And I think he could do everything very nicely.
I was trying to convince someone that Elmo has been seen before…maybe not in red. So I googled Jackets from the 70’s & 80’s.

I wish we could hear from some of these celebrities that were at the London show. Jeff Beck, Simon Fuller, Bob Geldof….good or bad I’d still be interested. Apparently Jeff Beck told someone he thought Adam was great, but until I hear it from him…twitter or an interview…I don’t believe it.

I was flipping channels last night and passed by FoxNews channel just as they said something like “And now Jennifer Lopez has jumped off the show.” I stopped to see what they were saying. They said Steven Tyler had announced his departure the day before. Now the next line is what really got me. They said “No word on who the replacements might be.” I thought they should have thrown out a few names. But, heh, they SAY they are fair and balanced (lol)so I guess they just decided to mention no one that had been rumored.
And, luval, somewhere I saw a report that said Idol had been in talks with Adam’s folks for the last month.
