Exciting times are upon us as July begins! Adam has just completed an outstanding first full length concert with Queen at a charity event in Kiev, Ukraine (as captured in the photo above). Five more Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are lined up for Moscow, Wroclaw (Poland) and London during the next couple of weeks. Adam will then return to the United States to play a series of solo concerts during the second half of the month, including gigs in Costa Mesa, Sacramento, Des Moines, Thackerville (Oklahoma), and a much anticipated return to the site of one of his first and most memorable concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. All told, Adam will perform in 10 live concerts this month, which will make this his busiest month for live performances since November 2010 when he was in the European portion of the Glam Nation Tour. Good evening, ALL peeps! Was over on the concert thread but this need to go here for posterity. My prediction is that QUEEN + Adam Lambert will perform at the halftime show at the Superbowl!!!
I heard that Van Halen is asking (begging) to play but who holds a candle to a revitalized and reenergized QUEEN, playing We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You, Somebody to Love, AOBTD, and WWTLF in a huge stadium??? NOONE!!!!
Would love to see that, sparkle. Super Bowl seems soooo far away but time is just flying by and it will be here before you know it. Still wanted them somehow to play at Olympics but we know that’s not going to happen unless Adam becomes a Brit pretty quick!

sparkle, I can definitely see the Super Bowl as a possibility. Seems like the halftime entertainment has gone more “legendary” rather than current, ever since Janet and her nip-slip incident. They’ve had Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, The Who, Madonna … Queenbert would be a perfect, PERFECT choice – can you imagine hearing these iconic sports venue songs being performed live at the biggest sports event of the year?!

An astonishing Adam moment tonight! My son came home with a female friend, both of them 19 btw, and he said, “Mom, did you download any of the Kiev concert with Queen and Adam?”
Huh? How did he even know about it? But yes, of course I did. Made a DVD, too. Said that, expecting a guffaw and an eye-roll.
“OMG that’s great! Could we borrow the DVD?”
(Okay, now I know I am in a parallel universe.)
“Of course, cheri, but how did you even know about it?”
“[friend] is a huge Queen fan! she heard about the concert and as soon as she said Adam Lambert I figured you could fix her up with some vids.”
So, I gave her a copy of the Kiev DVD. She also wanted the link to today’s concert on this site to see these vids. Her musical taste is very eclectic, I am curious to hear what she thinks of Adam with Queen. From there, I’ll give her a copy of Trespassing.

He loves multitasking and he’d be up to the challenge…with the little hand clappy motion at the end…I got the impression that he really wants to do this, it isn’t just “I’m flattered to be asked and I’d jump at the chance”.
He hasn’t been asked “yet”, and was there a little emphasis on that word?
I had about given up the idea of Adam on Idol, but the rumor is still out there and Adam sounds stronger about it than he did before…performing with Queen gives him a lot more credibility as a judge than he had just a couple of weeks ago.

IKR, Kradamour? He sounds as if he is thoroughly excited about the prospect of this whole Idol judging gig. I, for one, am hoping this happens. I feel his chances are greater each time another former judge bites the dust! So far, Steven is gone with rumors of Randy switching to a mentorship role. Jennifer is sitting on the fence as well. Even if Adam doesn’t land the position for whatever reason, the media attention this has received should help in getting his name out there to all who have been living behind a rock.

I was awakened this morning by Gil when he put his hand on my shoulder at 6:00am. There I was sitting in my computer chair, chin on my chest, sound asleep, headphones on, with Suz’s version of “Another One Bites The Dust” still playing in a loop!!
If someone told me this I don’t think I’d believe it but … believe it. I did it and that was a first! First time for everything, I suppose.
Needless to say, I know every word to that song. The lyrics have been branded on my brain!
