September finds blond Adam back in the US after a busy August touring Japan and Australia. What’s in store for us this month? A third single announcement? Confirmation about Idol judges (is Adam one of them?!)? More speculation of a Queen+Adam tour or possibly an actual Trespassing tour? Will he add more shows in the coming months? Even Adam’s hairdresser does not know for sure. So while we wait, continue to chat away about anything and everything Adam related. Enjoy!

Oh Jeez! We need some entertainment for our Saturday night. MJ just mentioned Adam’s name in the Green Day thread. As an aside, about the author of an article at Yahoo about Billie Joe.

    Let the fun begin…

  2. jlurksacto says:

AND in other news, I just sent a DVD to TommyJoe. He posted his mailing address
on twitter so just had to do it!

  3. glambotgram says:

jlurk HAHA I love it, you are becoming the Queen/Adam spammer. Wink

  4. milwlovesadam says:

Just watched a bunch of versions of WWTLF. Got lost in it. Still can’t get over it.

I honestly believe that the one from July 14th is likely the single best performance by any artist of any song I’ve ever heard. Hyperbole intended.

But, he’ll end up topping this one someday too.

  5. HK fan says:

methinks BillyJoe needs to expand his vocabulary just a tad!!!

I hope Issacs leaving his only temporary, I like him, much prefer him to Longineu. I’m still not sure how I feel about Brian London, I felt more drawn to Kevin in the brief time he was there. But if him leaving is permanent I’m sure we’ll soon get used to a new drummer.

I will also admit to feeling sad when I saw the IHeart radio concert, I thought they liked Adam, he’s done a couple of those sessions with them.

LadyH are you new here, or are you ladynorth with a new name??

online version of Japanese Cyzo magazine. LOL we really need a translator for this because Google translate is not much help.

  9. HK fan says:

So he’s a super carnivorous jew!!!!
But where does all the child licking come from?????
and whats a herbivorous guy???something to do with vegetarians?

Actually the first time I pressed that translation. it came up in a weird format and made even less sense, the second time it came up properly and I could make out a bit of what they were trying to say.

  10. cwm says:

Oh my god, Kradamour, I’m in tears having just read that translation. That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read! My sides hurt and I can barely breathe.

“privation child licking”?? What the hell?

And what exactly is “child licking hardship”?

And this is a nice descriptor for Adam: “Horus Adam carnivorous super as a Jew born in”

My favorite lyric: “I’ll tell the cold I’ll be in the Arctic.” Wow, that really has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

And I thought this quote was particularly touching: “However, those who become emotional to meet me, I might happen because love me very much of me, and say more of me, what a lot of feelings that I do not know what that feeling embarrassed always, what to do It is.”

Everybody run out and get your copy of “Torres Passing”!

    LMAO *wiping tears*

  11. Kradamour says:

Glad we found some mirth on a slow news day!
If it weren’t for the “privation child licking”, this translation would be the perfect example for my French students to demonstrate why it is not safe to depend upon machine translations!

    Awwww!

  13. turquoisewaters says:

Sensational translation! “Do look at that stupid!”

  14. rs says:

Has this been posted? Lyndsey Parker’s take on the Green Day rant, and the whole evening, for that matter. It seems that everybody except Rihanna had a half an hour and pretty much stuck to it.

    http://music.yahoo.com/blogs/live/green-day-epic-punk-tantrum-becomes-talk-iheartradio-170318701.html

  15. luval says:

Good morning, rs. I saw that post last night but it wasn’t written by Lyndsey Parker. It’s by a guy named Chris Willman. Guess we still haven’t heard from Lyndsey if we even will.

    I love that translation (?)!!

I read the tweets between Adam & Niles Rogers. Wonder where Adam is? He “winked” after this tweet

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert
@nilerodgers just sorry I couldn’t say it in person! Wink

Either Niles is not around, Adam is not in LA or he’s trying to throw us off. Maybe he’s met Sauli somewhere before his DC trip.

  16. TLKC says:

‘Mornin’! I would love to see Rufus drum for Adam while Isaac was away – nice little switcheroo – but would Brian go to the trouble of auditions if Rufus was available and could do it? I sincerely hope Isaac’s departure is temporary.

  19. rs says:

Sorry luval, Lyndsey had tweeted it and I follow her, and I didn’t look farther. My mistake. It is still a good article, though

  20. luval says:

I just LOVE Pop That Lock! It’s sexy and a great dance club song although I didn’t care for that re-mix that’s out now. If only they could keep the Smooth Criminal sample. How about a contest with that one. Would love to see boys dancing to it. Actually Banchee boys & Dancey girls together!

ETA: rs, most everyone (including me) thought it was Lyndsey “over there”, but then someone noticed the actual author and posted it.

  21. TLKC says:

Love the google translation of that Japanese article. Would like to see a better one, though. Feeling a little “de-privation” on that front.

Not so random, Kradamour, I like Brian, too. He seems to take great joy in performing. He smiles all the way through his sets and he has a lot of happy eye contact with Adam. You can tell they are on the same wavelength.

For chemistry, the current band is the best Adam has ever had. Musicianship is another thing. I still think Zak (from Korn), Monte, Tommy and Longineu were the best band, musically speaking, that Adam has ever had.

  22. TLKC says:

I wonder if those Russian girls are part of the same group who produced the Trespassing flash mob to promote the cd.

  23. luval says:

I just tweeted that video of the Russian girls to Adam. Not that he’d even see it or enjoy it. Wink

  24. TLKC says:

Now that rs and luval are both here, I’ll pick up where we left off on the Michael Chabon conversation. I love Michael Chabon. I am mad for the density of his prose and the energy of his imagination. His earlier books, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and Wonder Boys are much easier reads than K&C.

K&C is so full of the stuff of my 1950’s childhood – the comic book lore and Stan Lee and Bob Kane. The central figure, Joe, is such a lonely and poignant figure. One of life’s fixers. When he worked so hard rescue his family and lost them it broke my heart. I am the eldest of 6 childen and it is hard to express how responsible you feel for your younger siblings. All I wanted was for him to end up safe and happy at the end of the novel.

The elements of magic reminded me of the novels of a Canadian writer, Robertson Davies and there is an echo of Saul Bellows also.

HOWEVER, I tried to read 3 different pages from Telegraph Avenue in the bookstore yesterday and I couldn’t – so I’m not buying it.

  25. luval says:

Hahaha TLKC….It’s almost time for me to bring Telegraph Avenue back to the library and I’m still only 25 pages into it! It is impossible!!!! And I loved the premise of the story. Reminds me of “You’ve Got Mail”…the idea that the big conglomerate moves into the neighborhood & forces out the little guy. Could it be that simple with Chabon…NO!

I so want to get immersed in this book but just can’t!!!

ETA: btw, I finally watched that show “Revolution” that was on last Monday night. I really really enjoyed it! Can’t wait until tomorrow night! It better not be cancelled, though!

  26. TLKC says:

BTW, I can see why Adam loves K&C and why he would have stuck it through the tougher passages. It is a heartful portrayal of the human spirit, striving and surviving, in the face of anti-semitism and, Sammy’s case, homophobia.

  27. TLKC says:

luval, I follow both Adam and Nile and I can’t see Adam’s tweet to Nile. Why is that? He also tweeted something to the theatre company producing “Justinlove” and I can’t see that either. Weird.

    Is Adam in New York?

  28. luval says:

TLKC…I don’t get twitter sometimes and don’t understand that either. If nkd is around I think she can explain.

  29. TLKC says:

It would be hilarious if Led Zeppelin started looking for a new lead singer but it sounds as though Jimmie Page isn’t into the idea either. Something tells me the tiger might come out in mild-mannered Brian if another big band started making eyes at Adam.

  30. luval says:

Like Queen who so lucked out with Adam, I think the remaining members of Led Zeppelin just want to play music no matter their ages! But like the blues genre, I think Rock music is timeless and the players will do it as long as they can physically. There is no more stigma in regards to age. Except of course the under “29’s” who think they will never grow old.

I think Adam is a much better fit with Queen.

  31. TLKC says:

Me, too! I was at a Glambert “high tea” yesterday and we researched all the stats on the Queen + Paul Rogers tour. They went all over the world; 64 dates over a year-and-a-half. I guess they took some breaks in between for various other activities. The US ticket sales were less than stellar but, otherwise, it was great!

  32. luval says:

TLKC…What exactly do you serve at a high tea besides tea? Just in case I have one someday with my imaginary Syracuse Glamberts. LOL

  33. rs says:

TLKC, I really liked the storyline of K&C, but it was the “density of prose”, as you call it, (and liked so much), that put me off. Is Wonderboys the one they made the movie about that took place at a boarding school?

I have read books by Robertson Davies and really enjoyed them.I should look for more to add to my huge pile of “not yet read” books. Every time there is a “2nd book for half price sale” I get a few and the pile is just getting higher and higher. I should really reverse the proportion of time I spend on the internet with the time I spend reading, but what to do? There is a certain young singer that keeps pulling me back to the internet.

  34. Ladyh says:

HK Fan, sorry I didn’t get back to you yesterday, had a wedding, but no I’m not ladynorth, and I’m not new. I just don’t post much, just lurk. Signed up here when Adam came to Wilkesbarre Pa.

  35. TLKC says:

I have the same problem rs! Both reading and gardening have suffered greatly since Adam came onto the scene. Luckily, I take public transit to work. This gives me approximately an hour-and-a-half for reading each day. (I often check out my tweets and emails and Adam online stuff on those trips, though.)

I used to buy more books than I read, as well. The “3-page-tryout” test has helped a lot. Even if a book is a huge success, critical or otherwise, I will not buy it unless one of 3 reading attempts in the book store has captured me.

Saves money, too. They did base a movie on Wonder Boys. Michael Douglas was in it and part of it was shot in Toronto, I believe.

ETA: No boarding school – He was a prof -it was a university setting.

  36. ultimathule says:

“The Wonder Boys” is a terrific movie, TKLC – probably my favorite Douglas role. One of the few I’d watch again.

Apparently Carrie U kissed a 12-year-old boy on the lips at a concert and the posts are not favorable – double standard stuff. Agree completely.

  37. TLKC says:

Really? He was 12? On the lips? Were his parents there? Did he ask for it or did she volunteer? Yikes!

  38. TLKC says:

Luval, High Tea is scones and clotted cream and preserves with tiny finger sandwiches, little cakes, lovely tarts and, of course, tea. The linen is real (not paper) and you use your best china and silverware. Libradoodle was the perfect hostess, right down to the Villeroy and Boch dinnerware service. I took a couple of pics of the table but it was after we had started eating, unfortunately.

The next time you come to Toronto, I will have a high tea in your honour and we will invite Ron and the rest of the Fab 5. If it turns out to be timed with a Queen concert for next summer, we will turn it into a garden party and have everyone.

    Love to use my china.

Some of you who watch Glee will appreciate this, I don’t watch it but love the reaction to Adam’s tweet.

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert

@ANew92 Diva I’m blown away by u on Glee! You are KILLIN it Mary!

    Alex Newell ‏@ANew92

@adamlambert stop stop stop hold the phone! I live for you!! And thank you soo much!!!

    Adam Lambert ‏@adamlambert

@ANew92 are you kidding!? You slayed that Britney song!

  41. luval says:

I watch Glee, glambotgram and I enjoy Alex. Wasn’t sure Adam still watched Glee, but those tweets confirm it.

Emmy’s on tonight. I love awards shows. Especially the red carpet fashions. The 2nd edition of Fashion Police at NY Fashion week was on. Joan Rivers was much funnier and quick witted then when Adam was on. There was just something off at his appearance. Seemed like Joan or Adam didn’t want to be there. JMO.

  42. milwlovesadam says:

Wow, someone mentioned Adam in that thread too. Referring to his tongue diving. LOL. I seem to remember more of us being concerned about germs than about the propriety of the incident!

    Oh. But they were adults.

As far as Carrie U. is concerned, it was meant as sweet. But in today’s world, many don’t see it that way. IMHO, she should have gone for a cheek kiss.

  43. milwlovesadam says:

Awww. Those tweets were so sweeet!!

I’ve heard of it, but, I’m almost afraid to ask, just what in the heck is clotted cream? Is it like sour cream or creme freche
(sic)? Not a very attractive name for something that I’m sure is most likely delicious!!

  44. glambotgram says:

Here is the kiss, looks innocent to me and he will be the king of school for a long time LOL

    Carrie Underwood ‏@carrieunderwood

Thanks, Chase, for the kiss and thanks Louisville for rocking so hard tonight! We had fun! #liptolip pic.twitter.com/TqUZFwOp

  45. luval says:

Equal opportunity comparison…someone even mentioned Kris Allen in a post too…”what if he had kissed a 12 yr old girl on the lips”. Carrie Underwood is a perfect human being. Nothing, absolutely nothing can mar her image. Laugh ROTFL Sarcasm

  46. TLKC says:

Adam’s version of Mad World in the background on this Polish TV show. Apparently, there are a lot of posts asking about the song and who is singing.

    http://mamtalent.tvn.pl/wideo/wszystkie-kategorie,1,1/karciane-sztuczki-z-niespodzianka-na-koncu,483915.html

  47. TLKC says:

I didn’t know mils so I looked it up:

“Clotted cream (sometimes called clouted cream or Devonshire cream) is a thick cream made by indirectly heating full-cream cow’s milk using steam or a water bath and then leaving it in shallow pans to cool slowly. During this time, the cream content rises to the surface and forms ‘clots’ or ‘clouts’. It forms an essential part of a cream tea. Although its origin is uncertain, the cream’s production is commonly associated with dairy farms in South West England and in particular the counties of Cornwall and Devon.”

OK – I have to say the kiss was not a biggie. Far from tongue-diving and no bodies touching. That kid is going to be popular at school for a while but perhaps the girls in his class will be afraid to kiss him now. Comparisons being in order and all…

  48. TLKC says:

    luval Big Smile Big Smile

  49. glambotgram says:

cute video 10 year old singing WWFM on a chinese reality show, he is pretty good LOL

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnM9CDp6WoE&feature=youtu.be

  50. glambotgram says:

    RE: the Kiss

No doubt it is a double standard, but not one that I think will change, a grown man kissing a 12 year old girl would be regarded as “dirty old manish’

A grown woman kissing a 12 year old boy is more cute and motherly. And even cute knowing he probably has a major crush. Now I am not sure Nicki Manaj would come across the same way. Grin

Not saying I agree, just how I think it is perceived.
