As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.

After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. Above we see a beautiful photo from @Alikat1323, taken at Adam’s September 25th benefit concert in support of marriage equality. Enjoy the chat!

omg, thanks for that snippet HKfan. I loved it! That voice….soaring into the stratosphere! Somehow he must release the songs that weren’t on the album.

  2. rs says:

HK fan, I sent you an email a couple of days ago. Just wanted to make sure that you got it.

  3. turquoisewaters says:

Thanks for your post, Reese. I think it is a very good reminder to always post as if Adam was going to read it. Thank you also for your response HKFan. I agree that it should be okay to also point out when mistakes happen. Adam is not stupid. Nobody knows better than him that Texas Tango was not his best night. He is an adult and can handle and maybe needs a critical comment now and then, especially if it comes from a group that is so full of support and love for him. I have had my share of bad days and mistakes in my career, you all probably as well, I think we all understand that you can’t be perfect all the time. It does not take away from our Adam love.

  4. luval says:

Wow…last day of the month. New thread tomorrow with a new photo!

Nice post, turquoisewaters. Agree with you.

  5. LadyNorth says:

Wow, thanks for the snippet! I would really like to hear all the songs that didn’t trespass to the Trespassing album. They could make another album or two… Maybe a special edition only for Glamberts Smile? Is it so that RCA owns them, they can just publish them if they want? I have no idea about how music business goes – does the artist get any payment before his/her album begins to sell, during all the recording phase? Or does the artist have to pay the company?

Happy Halloween to everyone – just a usual Wed here. Halloween partys are probably next weekend if there is some. I think some families with children might do something and I have seen funny pumpkins and cakes in the stores, but nobody has ever come to my door asking trick or treat Pumpkin But we have a similar kind of thing on Sunday before Easter, kids dress up witches and come to ask for candy.

I hope everyone is safe on the East coast. Not a happy Halloween there Frown

  7. glambotgram says:

Also a bit worried about glambotgram

Thank you TLKC for the concern, I live in MI actually. I have a son in DC who is fine, a few leaks in the house he rents but otherwise ok. My daughter who was in DC is now in FL as her AF husband was reassigned. I am in FL at the moment babysitting so have not had much time for internet. I had to take a short family leave to keep my grandbabies as my daughter just went active AF reserve and there was no daycare for 2 weeks.
So all is good I am just very busy

  8. nkd says:

Oksana lives in a NYC burrow, I hope she’s OK.
It’s quite chilly there now if you are without power.
Hugs Oksana, hope all is well! Kiss

  9. milwlovesadam says:

Reese and everyone else who has posted, I agree about keeping a positive tone. However, as a fan blog, we have shared many aspects of the fandom, both positive and (rarely) negative. Just like in any relationship, we have “growing pains.” A lot of us have “known” each other for several years now, and have also met in real life and forged friendships that go beyond these pages.

I guess we have reached a certain comfort level where we speak our minds more freely. I know I write a lot of things that I delete before I post. Maybe some of you do too.

The thought that Adam or someone connected to him reads our blog rarely goes through my mind. Adam himself only seems to mention reading You Tube comments. Who knows what anyone close to him reads. If anything, I would think Leila might know about us. I know she read his threads at MJ’s, and maybe she knew to follow us here.

If Leila or someone else would read our posts here and then get back to Adam any of our concerns, it would be wonderful. Because I do see our blog as a mature, friendly and not cray place to be a fan.

I know this is a long post, but, after our election controversy the other day, I’m hoping that we can stay somewhat on topic, and be free to share our feelings.

About the Texas show. Having been to only one other radio show, where Adam wasn’t the headliner, and had his set shortened also, I think these are difficult gigs. The sound is always a mess. Adam is always openly distressed by things that are out of his control. However, He is always the performer that gets the most press. NOBODY ever has a negative thing to say about his set, his voice, his appearance, his behavior or his band.

Any of the negative stuff is seen only by his true fans who have seen virtually every single performance either live or on video. We are the only ones who notice.

In that context, it just doesn’t matter. We love him no matter what. We are not fickle fans. Everybody who saw him in Texas will see him again and again. And, even though a radio show is not my favorite way to see him, if that’s my only chance in the future, I’ll be there again.

Because, a little of hurried Adam is better than no Adam.

And, coming here to talk about it is so much fun, and adds to the experience.

  10. cwm says:

nkd – given the flooding in NYC, I’m really hoping that Oksana lives in a NYC borough and not a burrow! Razz

Sorry I’ll stop nitpicking! Wink And more importantly – Oksana I hope you are warm, dry, and safe!

  11. mieps says:

I don’t post much, and strangely enough rarely about Adam.
However, I read here all the time, and I wanted to give my two cents on the concerns expressed here. I think it’s healthy to read negative comments from time to time. I think being disappointed or even annoyed in some instances (unavoidable in my opinion) and voicing those feelings is very different from posting negative comments for the sake of posting negative comments.
Personally, I never see things as negative here, just as observations that aren’t always favourable. They don’t take away from each poster and readers here being great fans.

Again, just my view on things, ignore as you wish.

  12. milwlovesadam says:

    cwm, oops, fixed it.

  13. nkd says:

Thank you Reese for your post.
Our sometimes critical opinions here are far from what anyone would consider trolls. We all love and support Adam. If he did read here, I too think he would appreciate our opinions, that all come from a loving place.
He does work his ass off for his fans to put on the best show possible, and as much as anyone I appreciate that and reward him with my support. Being an Adam fan has enriched my life in ways I didn’t even know I was missing, including friendships with the peeps on this site.

If my honest reaction to the concert I attended caused this distress, I am truly sorry. I am not a negative person, but I thought I could express an opinion here since that is what we do. I do not want to question Adam’s decisions regarding his band, I’m sure that he is putting the best out there that he can at the moment with the subs. Adam is not on a full tour right now and musicians have to find work when they can.

I will continue to support Adam and get that wonderful high that his performances generate.
I know that he knows that the Texas Tango show was not one of his best. He looked and sounded fabulous though!

I think my comments about leaving the show disappointed are the only, or among very few, negative comments I have ever made about Adam, besides a few about the hair or a dubious wardrobe choice.

  14. nkd says:

nkd – given the flooding in NYC, I’m really hoping that Oksana lives in a NYC borough and not a burrow!

    Yeah, me too!
    Whatever! Heh

How come I seem to be the only one who has never gotten toast? A little jelly here! Wink

  15. milwlovesadam says:

nkd, I, for one, never interpreted any of your comments as anything but honest. Please continue to be honest. “Luv ‘ya Rose Peace

Like I said, we love him no matter what. And, for the most part, us uberfans are the only ones who notice any problems.

Isn’t it amazing though, with all the technical problems he had, he still was just purely fantastic Adam?

One more point, then I simply must get to real life, unless a fan is there live, we don’t know know what the sound problems were. We are hearing the show through cameras, phones, etc. And depending on where the video is taken, the sound will be different in every seat.

Halloween treat! The FULL-LENGTH demo of Hold On has leaked and has now been posted on YouTube. It’s pretty amazing! The lyrics are awesome. Do you think it would be ok to post it here? I’m never sure what the right think to do is about leaks. I found it by reading the comments for the snippet posted above.

Also, the mp3 link can be found on this person’s twitter timeline: https://twitter.com/_ninni

She was distributing it privately for a while but then it went public.

    Here’s the authorship/registration information: http://hooplamagnet.livejournal.com/130872.html?thread=65829688#t65829688

And…. apparently there’s another unreleased song that’s been registered called Warpaint:

Ok, now I see that the Hold On demo is being tweeted broadly, so here you go! Enjoy! I love it, especially the lyrics and all the different colors of Adam’s voice on display. It’s a Nikka Costa co-write. Sonically, it’s a real hybrid with funk elements, rock ballad elements, and dubstep. Really interesting!

When you vote on PeoplesChoice, should you put the name of the song/album with a hyphen and then Adam’s name?
    E.g. Trespassing – Adam Lambert
I’ve been putting it Trespassing Adam Lambert (without the hyphen).
    Make any difference?
    Thanks.

  28. ultimathule says:

Like “Hold On” – actually like it better than a certain other song (or two).

It must be evolving as we speak! Adam is upping his entertainment visual concert concept. Yes

  37. milwlovesadam says:

I just have a sneaking feeling this show on Saturday night is going to be special. He said they were trying out new songs. And now Terrance is going. He may just be going to see his friend sing. Does anybody know if Brooke is up to anything? Or Taylor? We know Sasha is with Madonna.

ETA. I’m such a dope. SA is South Africa. That makes this even more exciting. I agree maybe he is ramping up his international concept.

  38. luval says:

I am thinking in SA if Adam puts on at least 1 1/2 shows, he will include FYE, Strut and maybe Sleepwalker as well as, of course music from TP. After all, they did not get Glam Nation. Just my opinion. A couple of weeks from now we’ll see if I’m correct!!

twilightmagic8 and I posted different links to the full version of Hold On. They’re both the same song, just on different people’s accounts who uploaded the song to youtube. So either one works. Smile

I agree that it’s rather busy and sounds unfinished, but it is a demo after all. I like the bones of it a lot (as kradamour said), especially the lyrics, the funky flavor of the verses, and the soaring nature of the pre-chorus and chorus in contrast.

As the third Licorice recipient, I want to especially thank NorthLady for taking mercy on your licorice addicted fan site mates. I’ve let my DH have a few bites and can’t wait to see what my sister has to say. I come from a family of licorice lovers. My favorite is like Mils, the sweet salty one. I got the blueberry one and it’s good too, less intense. The really salty ones are intense and I can only eat one at a sitting. Now I wonder which ones Sauli prefers. Most American licorice is pretty tame. Can’t stand twizzlers, no taste. My roommate in Phoenix,Ladybugs, did try to find some Australian licorice to keep up with Mils, but didn’t find any but did find some Finnish. The brand name is Halva sweet licorice. Thanks to Cher for dividing and sending and the bird found a nice place to hang out. Pumpkin Happy Halloween

  48. milwlovesadam says:

Oksana, I’m glad to hear you are safe and sound.

Would love to hear from TWHE how her daughter is doing in NY.

Jojosie, I really like those teeny tiny ones, but, like you said, I can only handle one a day. They are so intense and so satisfying. I don’t even think they have any calories! Oh, maybe 10. They are just pure flavor. I’ll tell ya, they curb my craving for sweets. Maybe we just found a new diet secret. Thanks Ladynorth!

  49. milwlovesadam says:

I do like this “new” song, but, it’s unfinished. It has a lot of sound, I’m sure that if it were finished it would be more polished and let his voice come through better.

I treated myself this afternoon to the whole Phoenix show from that one video, and exercised to it. Man, that was a helluva show. When you watch it all at once, it’s like being there ( almost). He was so frisky and gabby and loose. What a ball you all must have had.

  50. Ellessay says:

Regarding criticism–I belong to a writer’s critique group, and while we are all friends in the group, we give honest critiques without sugar-coating, but all is said with love.

I would not be afraid of Adam reading any criticism here either, because it is also said with love. I would think he would prefer someone to tell him when something is not working than having enraptured “yes-men or women” telling him how wonderful he is all the time. Creative people are always working to improve and be the best they can be.

So–I will probably not be reading/writing here much this next month. Nov. 1st starts National Novel Writing Month, and I intend to participate this year. We have to write a 50,000 word novel in the next 30 days. It’s not easy to work a full time job and find the time to devote to the daily word count. Any one else going to try it? http://www.nanowrimo.org I made the word count last year. Got a great idea for this year’s novel. Since my 40th class reunion was this year, I thought I would incorporate that into my book. I’m sure there will be a Glambert or two in there.
