As October begins, Adam has just announced the official radio add date (October 8) for Trespassing, which is the title track and the third U.S. single from his album of the same name. A Trespassing EP with a radio edit and album remixes will also be available on October 16. After limited success for the first two singles from Trespassing, Adam likely needs this third single to be a hit in order to continue onward with the Trespassing era, at least here in the United States.

After an October 13th concert date in Australia, Adam will return to the U.S. for a pair of dates during the second half of the month, on October 17th at the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix, and on October 29th at the Texas Tango radio concert in Grand Prarie. Above we see a beautiful photo from @Alikat1323, taken at Adam’s September 25th benefit concert in support of marriage equality. Enjoy the chat!

  5. TLKC says:

The Japanese concerts are in February and Tommy reportedly told a fan at Hammersmith that the tour would start in February and Adam also said Winter 2013.

It’s starting to look, walk and talk like a duck to me!

Maybe Adam’s Chinese trip in December is for the purpose of booking Chines cities. That would be terrific. He could easily generate a few stadium-size concerts there.

Before the upcoming performances of famous American singer decided to insure your voice at $ 48 million.

According to the publication «The Daily Mirror», the singer’s management has concluded that the measure is necessary. Lambert’s voice is very valuable for the label, and protect themselves from critical situations will not be superfluous. The deal signed last week. Previously used this service, Bruce Springsteen, who praised himself $ 6 million, and singer Mariah Carey and not paid attention to his vocal apparatus, insuring his legs for $ 1 billion.

Today is Spirit Day, and people everywhere are donning purple to show their support against LGBT bullying. But this isn’t just a fashion statement — this is about going out there and taking a stand against bullying and showing love to our LGBT fam and friends.

Great photo of Adam from GNT in this article.

sistasif, thank you for that item about spirit day! I am actually in purple today because at the high school where I teach, Fridays are spirit days to wear our school color: purple!
    Clap
I have to chuckle…I teach in a very conservative (i.e. homophobic) school and community, and if the teachers in purple knew that they were also dressed in support of LGBT anti-bullying day, they would just fall over dead from the shock and horror. A delicious irony!

I hope that your comment that your avi is a year old today doesn’t mean that you are thinking about changing it? I love your avi!

    Hi everybody.

Totally off topic, but I’ve been listening to another favorite song and performance of mine. Just wanted to share.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=34nrWcUglVg

I would just keel over if I ever heard him sing this. And, I’d love to see him in a simple outfit like this one day. Just once.

  15. luval says:

mils, that song is one of my favorites of all times. The only idol contestant song I have ever bought…Jason Castro’s version. (not counting Clay Aiken Big Smile

Perfect for Adam. Like Dust in the Wind was perfect for him.

  16. milwlovesadam says:

Another of my Idol faves performed last night for a benefit, and sang a Stevie Van Zandt song, the performance is fantastic, Michael Johns, Salvation.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tGloEnfdbBg

  17. milwlovesadam says:

luval, Leonard Cohen was quoted in an interview as saying that Jon Bon Jovi’s version was his all time favorite interpretation. That’s quite the compliment. I also loved Jason Castro’s performance. Have you heard KD Lang’s version?

  18. nkd says:

Thank you mils for that link. I had not heard Bon Jovi’s Hallelujah, it is great!
I have K.D. Lang’s, Jason Casto’s, and Jeff Buckley’s versions. Jeff Buckley’s was playing in my car when I was hit in an intersection back in Feb. I cannot listen to that song in my car anymore, at least not yet!

luval, it’s good to see you made it home!

  19. milwlovesadam says:

nkd, Bon Jovi does an intro to that performance, in another video that talks about how he was in a club in NY and heard Jeff Buckley sing it live. He was inspired, and had never heard the song before that. It took him several years to try it. This is the result. He sings it often now.

    http://pics.lockerz.com/s/254528384

  22. milwlovesadam says:

Wow. It does look like the start of an international tour. Maybe our musings about starting overseas and building momentum, then finishing in the states.

Of course, to build momentum, he would need some press.

I’m not a Debbie Downer, but, crap, if an audience of 250-500 Thousand and being broadcast live in several countries doesn’t get US press, what will?

Oh. I know. Antics. Like smoking a doobie in Amsterdam.

  23. milwlovesadam says:

    Hmmmm.

NYE in Bali. What a dream that would be.

There’s no human way possible I could go…but…wondering for fantasy sakes what it would cost to travel there, have good seats, hmmm. It’s prolly a 5 grand trip with hotels, food, etc.

  24. riskylady says:

I know, mils, the airfare alone would be killer, and it’s a resort, so probably expensive. Apparently quite new, just opened middle of this year.
    http://www.google.com/search?q=mulia+resort+nusa+dua+bali&start=10&hl=en&sa=N&rlz=1T4GGNI_enUS482US482&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&ei=kjeCUM_PM6rm2QWAloDwDw&ved=0CGsQsAQ4Cg&biw=1160&bih=612

So I guess, South Africa (too far), China in Dec (too far), Bali on NYE (too far) and Japan in February (too far) – wow.
I hate that he has to spend so much time on those looooonnng flights. And I guess little chance of US gigs in between.
    Darn.

  25. jlurksacto says:

  26. riskylady says:

I now completely understand the need for insurance. And, seems like RCA and Adam’s management are determined to squeeze every ounce of profit out of their investment. I imagine he will make good money, but wow, that is a lot of travel and surely more to come. Hope he can manage his life and voice as well as he has up to now.

  27. cher says:

Via @creativedisc: Confirmed! Adam Lambert Live in Bali, Hotel Mulia, Nusa Dua. 31 Dec. Tix start $488++

Is that US dollars? Airfare, hotel, food plus that starting price? Did any of us win the lotto? Grin

  28. HK fan says:

omg, I love Bali, and the airfare is really cheap for me on staff travel (providing there is a seat….which is sometimes difficult to Bali). But Nusa Dua whilst beautiful is the most expensive area of Bali, very upmarket hotels and boutiques.
I just don’t think I could afford those ticket prices….and I don’t know who I could go with, my helper has already booked his flights back to the Philippines, and doesn’t arrive back in HK till 1st jan. So both me and my husband couldn’t go because one of us has to stay with our disabled son…..so I haven’t actually looked into any of this, but $488 us is about $3,500 HK, is that just an entrance price or do you get anything else for that???

  29. riskylady says:

Hahah, cher, I can hear your calculator whirring all the way up here in Broward! I think you are tempted LOL.

  30. nkd says:

    Kathy Katz ‏@katzolicious
Adam Lambert Ticket avail in 3 categories. Silver USD 538, Gold USD 638, Platinum USD 738

I saw this also. If I were going and spending all of that money on airfare and an expensive resort, I’d go for the platinum ticket. What’s a couple hundred more if you’ve already spent that much?!!

  31. cher says:

Tempted, riskylady but not possible. Actually planning a trip to Asia next year that would include Indonesia but not for several months. Still paying for London and Vegas. Frown

Ooh…good thread over at the other blog. Kelly Clarkson endorsing Obama even though she’s Republican at heart because of the gay marriage bit. Someone’s gonna be mad in the morning and ban and delete! Must say Obama peeps know their stuff. Didn’t know that the Salt Lake City Tribune has now endorsed Obama. Wow. Also Obama is polling 20 points up on Romney in Mass. where he is/was Governor? How embarrassing.

It seems Adam’s tour might start internationally next year and end in the US. Hope he’ll have enough strength left for us.
So happy that he’s so popular overseas. Laugh

  32. cher says:

Nekkid, it’s a good thing we aren’t going!! Ouch! Where’s Axxxel? She’s been dying for him to go to Indonesia but those prices are whacko!

  33. nkd says:

$4000-$5000 airfare plus 30+ hours travelling. Nope, I’m not going!

  34. nkd says:

Of course the tickets are expensive, it’s an exclusive concert held by an exclusive hotel, in an exclusive moment (New Year’s Eve) Smile

Guess I’m not exclusive enough! Big Frown

What a great gig for Adam though! I hope they pay him exclusive $$$.

  35. cher says:

Nekkid….Some organizer there in Bali is a huge Glambert obviously. Grin

  36. jlurksacto says:

Someone has to go to do a livestream! Shall we start a “livestream” fund?

  37. rs says:

HK Fan, I immediately thought of you when I saw the news about the Bali concert. I hope that you can find a way to go and represent all of us there. Even if I wanted to go I would have to use my American passport. It would be very difficult to get a visa to Indonesia on my Israeli passport. And that really puts me off. And scares me.

  38. rs says:

And I loved that Bon Jovi “Hallelujah”. I am not sure that I would want Adam to sing it. It would be so good that it would ruin the song for other performers. I also think that maybe you might need a raspier voice than Adam has (I love Leonard Cohen’s version) for this song. JMO

  39. rs says:
  40. sparkle says:

Good morning, ALL! I’ve been away for a while and need to catch up! Great article, rs – Thanks for posting!

  41. milwlovesadam says:

LOL, rs, doesn’t Adam ruin every song for other performers??

So true. So true. But I still would love to hear him do Hallelujah.

So…if it may be true that the tour would start internationally, then I’m thinking that by the time he got to the states, that his voice would be in prime shape.

Remember how worried we all were that he would ruin his voice with GN? And how it got better and stronger as the tour progressed? If you compare his first concert with the finale in LA, you can hear how fantastic he sounded from beginning to end.

I also would hope that he’d be booked more carefully, and hope to avoid some of the huge and seemingly wasted travel time with inefficient dates and locales.

Hallelujah…that was also a hit for Alexandra Burke, the British singer who isn’t sold here (WTF) who did that terrific “Broken Heels” vid that I love so much.
I really love her version, a rich female voice:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSgsW9GLerA&feature=related

When it was released as a single in the UK, it was the biggest selling single by a woman ever.

And here is Broken Heels again:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF0olkZHqmo
    Heart Heart Heart

  46. milwlovesadam says:

kradamour, thanks, I really enjoyed both of those. I remember when Jason Castro did the Hallelujah on Idol, Simon said that the Jeff Buckley version was his favorite song of all time. ( that and Unchained Melody).

I like watching his face when a singer does one of his faves that well.

Alexandra Burke has it all. Beauty and a voice. Too bad she hasn’t made it here yet….just another story of “What does it take to make it here?”

Alexandra Burke has it all. Beauty and a voice. Too bad she hasn’t made it here yet….just another story of “What does it take to make it here?”

Even weirder, mils…her CD wasn’t even released in the US, even though she is hugely popular in the UK. Lots of posts on her youtubes and her official website, wondering why on earth her work is not available in the US. She has a lot of US fans, but we have to buy on the aftermarket and she doesn’t see any $$ for that.
    Question Frown Question Frown Question

And I love that for her official video for Broken Heels, she insisted that the casting director not look for skinny dancers; she wanted healthy-looking dancers with curves.

  50. milwlovesadam says:

Hah. I’m laughing at myself tonight. I’m such an empty nester. My house is soooo clean, laundry done, yard raked ( more leaves are falling as we speak), cooked 3 times today, not going out tonight.

Just spent a couple of hours linking from one You Tube song to another, and ended up at Harry Belafonte. I grew up listening to him. My parents listened to the music of their time. Opera. Yuck, I still really don’t like opera. I appreciate it, but, just, no. Lots of Broadway and movie soundtracks, lots of Elvis, and, tons of Harry Belafonte.

I forgot how fantastic he was, and how handsome and sexy he is/was. I recently caught a documentary on cable about his activism and charity work. It was terrific.

In relation to Alexandra Burke, Belafonte was a true singer. He had charisma and style. To my knowledge, he didn’t write his own music. He’d never be a star today. Never. Alexandra Burke is gorgeous and can sing her face off. They appreciate her in Europe. Maybe she’s blocked here because she would have to compete in Beyonce’s arena. But, she seems more pop. I don’t get it. Never will.

I do think that American’s still appreciate a true singer. They can only make it in country music these days.
