After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

On Mother’s Day I called my daughter who is working in Korea.
She is an eye roller and often refers to Adam as “your son”.
While she was in college and wasn’t doing well, I reminded her that I was putting her through college without loan.
She got back to me that, “Your son didn’t even go to college.” Ouch!!!
Anyway, my daughter’s friend from the States is visiting her next week.
Good opportunity -“I want Adam Lambert TRESPASSING for Mother’s Day.”
“Can your friend get a couple of Trespassing Deluxe version? You guys keep one, and save one for me.”
She did not know I’ve already ordered a few already.

cgesq, thanks for your wonderful recap. It was almost like being there with you. You are such a good writer, I still remember the tale of your adventures getting to St. Agathe. I hope that I will be reading many more recaps from you. Of course, in London I will be right there with you, so you can write a recap for the both of us, lol.

HK fan, I got the notice that my fan version was mailed on May 5th and I still haven’t received it. I think that overseas packages are slower than letters which usually take a week. The Amazon delivery estimate is July 2nd, which is six weeks from the shipping date!
Will let you know when they arrive. I have no idea when the CD will make it to the stores here, and if it will be the delux version. FYE was here, but Tower Records closed down, so I am not even sure where to look.

Thanks for the shoutout luval , I must admit sometimes I get a bit frustrated being in such a different time zone. Often I read the conversations on here, often chuckling or lol..to the comments, and I so want to join but by the time I read it the moments passed…Hey ho, nowt I can do about it. Just want everyone to know, that even though I don’t post as much as I would like,I really enjoy reading everyones comments on here.
rs, so I don’t need to panic about not receiving it yet then… I’m not really in any hurry as I had no problem buying the cd here as we have several HMV stores, I love it, every track. Probably Kickin in is at the bottom of my list at the moment, but I still like it.
I’ve loved reading all the positive articles and reviews, and watching the numbers. I didn’t get that with FYE as I hadn’t discovered any blogs at that point. Noone deserves all this more than Adam.

I am “Feeling(so)Good” this AM after reading all the posts from last night and early morning. Everyhing sounds upbeat and getting betterer–and so am I–arriving here at work singing :Whoa-ooooooooo, I comin’alive! My travel to work song. The numbers sound great; People magazine with a 4* out of 4 rating! Kradamour‘s posts that are so so well reasoned out and make so much sense;Ron‘s posts representing how we all feel about many things Adam; cgesq‘s recap so vivid I was there but in reality wishing I lived in LA or NYC. Great start to my day and I’m sure to that of many others.
My only question is: the review from the Chicago Tribune: thank god it was 4.5/5 because I wouldn’t have been able to tell; I thought it had such a negative vibe. Tell me did I miss something and read it wrong?

I know! I was going to include in my post “strange review” because the high rating and lukewarm write-up are at odds with one another. And I wish reviewers would stop referencing “Chokehold” as an S&M song. Have these writers never heard of a metaphor?
We’ll focus on the 4.5 stars then.
My thought exactly, Little Dutchess! a very schizophrenic review but all’s well that ends well.
One thing that I am really loving about the Trespassing era is that the interviews are longer and more probing; the Billboard Q&A, Hollywood Reporter, some others that stand out also.
Someone posted above (was it Ron?) that it hurt them to hear Adam talk about the grammys as being for the cool kids, like high school. I wonder if he will always feel that way, regardless of the reality? The way that many people (including Adam) outgrow a physical characteristic but still feel it, such as being overweight as a teen. My guess is that many of the people there, if they saw that quote, would be very surprised.
I also love that Adam is willing to talk more about Sauli now, in a good way that does not give away their private moments, but still illustrates their intimacy (and not necessarily physical intimacy) – like the BBoard Q&A when he said he would throw Sauli over his shoulder and then laughed and imitated Sauli complaining that he could do it himself (bad paraphrasing, sorry!).
Like luval, I love to sit down at work after my first class and have a bunch of posts to read from our friends far away in other time zones!

I’m so excited! I was at the mall today and on an off chance I went into a record store and what did I see sitting on the shelf of the new foreign releases, but Trespassing delux!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it, and when I went over to the counter I told the girl there how happy I was and kudos to them and what a great album it is, explaining the philosophy behind it, etc., she seemed really surprised. She knew nothing about this album but did know FYE. I said that I had ordered it from the States and didn’t expect it to be here so soon. She asked me why then was I buying one here if I had already ordered one. LOL she had no idea who she was dealing with.
I told her about the great reviews, album of the year etc, and she said that she would put it on in the store after the one that was on. Of course, later I went back to see how she liked it. I wanted an objective opinion. She hadn’t heard it yet so they put it on then. Her first reaction after hearing the first track was that it sounded like Bowie. I told her that people think that track sounds like Queen and that he is going to be performing with Queen this summer (and that I am going to see them). Then she asked if all the tracks are “like this”, meaning with a dancy beat. I told her about the second half being more deep. Anyway I stayed and reveled in the great sound in the store, but then left. I have no idea what she thought of the album, but she must have thought that this middle aged lady who was bopping to an electronic dance album and knew so much about an American pop singer must be very strange indeed, especially in religious Jerusalem.
Then in the car I listened to the cd. I had made one from the downloaded i-tunes version, but there in no comparison. This is just so much richer and more complex. I got as far as Pop that Lock when I got home and would have continued sitting in the car listening but I had frozen groceries melting in the trunk of the car. So the AO and Amazon packages can take their sweet time in the post, because I have the CD in my little hands! So there! YAY!

And you are totally right about the difference between the downloaded sound and the CD; it is why I held out for the real plastic, even though it was HARD to do that!!!

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry I vanished for most of a day but needed some sleep and a bit of a break after getting my hopes up higher than I should have then getting a letdown on the sales numbers yesterday.
Still hoping for #1 album, idol should give a boost tonight. It’s holding up pretty well at the moment, #2 pop & #3 overall iTunes, #4 amazon (peaked at #2 early this morning), #1 Barnes & Noble. Also saw that it moved from #3 Tue to #2 Wed on the Pulse street report which I think is mostly actual record stores. We know it is doing well online & digital. HDD is supposed to update their estimates sometime Friday, hopefully will be good news.

rs: I am so happy for you! I have been shopping in several ( kenyonim) malls in Israel, and all I would ever hear playing loud was “euro-disco-tech-pop” music. Some good, most “trashy” sounding. Ya know what I mean? Wait’ll they get aload of Adam!!

Oh God I never realized the things people can say about some one like the comments till I quit in the MSN review. I dont expect everyone to love Adam, but to say someone would, oh never mind, go read it if you dare, I just cant comprehend. Especially the fact that Freddie Mercury was gay, and so in your face, then they say such awful things because Adam is gay, I just dont get it. How do people get these feelings. Ya know I dont like Justin Beiber at all but to go on any website and spew awful things about what I think about him, I cant even think those thoughts.
