After what has seemed like an eternally long wait since Adam’s Glam Nation/FYE era ended, we have finally arrived at May 2012 – the month that Adam’s new album “Trespassing” will be released! The album will drop in the U.S. & Canada on May 15th. Lucky fans in New Zealand & Japan will get the album a few days earlier on May 11th, Australia & Germany a few days later on May 18th, while some other European countries (U.K., Ireland, France) will have to wait until July. In addition to the album release, we can look forward to three concerts with Adam headlining this month, the KRZ Summer Bash in Wilkes-Barre PA on May 25th, at Six Flags New England on May 26th, and the Freshtival in National Harbor MD on May 27th. We will also see Adam perform on American Idol May 17th, will have the official push of “Never Close Our Eyes” to pop radio beginning on May 29, and may see the music video for NCOE later this month as well!

Ron, I don’t think Kris feels bad. Of course I don’t know, but he struck me as extremely laid back and the sort of person who would find this wry-ly humorous.
I would go to a Kris concert if it were in a smaller nearby venue and I think I would enjoy it very much.
That’s crazy that Fox TV would be advertising Adam as the winner of Idol, when they should know he was the runner up.
I feel kind of sorry for Kris too. As much as I love Adam, it’s wrong for Fox TV to advertise him as being the winner of Idol. Kris won and much as I disliked when it happen, he deserves a little bit of respect from the show and the network by acknowledging it.

Hi bridgette! There are people to this day who mustn’t have been watching Season 8 too closely yet they heard Adam perform a few times and assumed that he won as if it was a foregone conclusion. Who was that singer/actress several months ago who, while being interviewed, acted shocked that Adam didn’t win. “WHAT?! He didn’t win? Really??”. I thought the next thing she was going to ask was, “Are you sure?”

I also think that Kris is a very laid back guy with a nice sense of humor. He and his wife come across to me as very sweet. But, based on several Tweets, I do question and wonder about Kris and Adam’s relationship today. It appears to me to be very one-sided.
Adam is always heaping praise for other artists work on Twitter with Kris being no exception. In response, the best word I can use to describe Kris’s Tweets back to Adam is “polite”. Kris’s Tweets to Adam have all stated the same thing: “Thank you”. Or, “Thanks, man”. It would be nice if Kris would return a compliment or two. But, on the other hand, Kris always praises Adam during interviews if Adam’s name comes up. (But then, what else is he going to say in that circumstance?).
I wonder if MJ will headline this as a new thread.

Ron, thanks for the Kevin Kline details. What a wonderful memory. And, yes, I loved Madeline Kahn too. Another celebrity gone too soon. She had cancer. She will always be in my memory of Mel Brooks films.
I also think Kris Allen was slighted by that review. Poor Kris. But, he is so laid back, like you said Ron, that I’m not sure it matters. This isn’t the first time or the last time that people will think Adam was the winner.

Ron, I think your right, it wouldn’t last long if that was a thread about this. I agree with you, that Adam and Kris are not friends. I do think they once were friends, but probably a lot of things besides busy schedules put a end to it. I think Kris has purposely pulled away from Adam because he was being overshadowed and thought of as less of a artist than Adam. He was the winner, but I am sure he heard from the media and fans about how some said he he wouldn’t have won if people hadn’t been voting against Adam because he was gay. He certainly didn’t want his only claim to fame to be he was the guy that popstar Adam Lambert lost to. From what Adam has said, the last time he actually seen or carried on any type of conversation with Kris, was at last years Idol finale. So that right there said a lot of me about how close they are.
Although I think Kris shouldn’t have won, he was declared the winner and the FOX Network of all places shouldn’t be saying Adam won.
Kris was on Adam’s BTM, as I remember. Wonder how he felt about that.
Slipped back to the computer just to say that today’s favorites are Take Back and Nirvana. Sad, that these are bonus tracks and not on the UK version. Now I’m thinking that their 2 bonus tracks must be epic as well. Did anyone order a UK version? I know it doesn’t come out until July. Please let us know how those two tracks compare. Oops. I think that they finally finished the recount, and now are declaring the true winner of AI season 8, and we are finally getting wind of it. I cant stand that Kris won, I truly believe he didnt, or maybe he did by crooked vote count. Adam is always nice to him Kris not so much. Adam is a better singer that Kris, it is what it is. Really funny how now people are proclaiming Adam was the winner. I guess Kris’s fans knocking Adam every chance they get it what bugs me the most. I never see Adams fans that I know of go in Kris threads and knock Kris. Of course what I see only.

I wouldn’t be surprised, and I would completely understand, if Kris feels a subconscious (or conscious) resentment towards Adam. If this happened once or maybe a second time, it would be different. But too many times Kris has been referred to in print or during radio interviews with Adam as “the other guy”. Brian May rehearsed and worked with Kris for the AI finale and today doesn’t remember his name. Adam has been identified a number of times as the winner of Season 8. That kind of thing would certainly get to me after a while and I’ll go out on a limb and say that Kris must feel the same way too. It’s only human nature. I think privately he might have very mixed emotions now in spite of their past, close friendship.

I’ll speak for luval because she’s working. She ordered the UK version. I believe she’s ordered every version of “Trespassing” in all of its forms from every continent on Earth.
adamized, as far as I know, the UK version of Trespassing will have 17 tracks on it and will include our three bonus tracks in addition to another two. “At least that’s what I could read”.
I am planning to pick up a few copies in London since I will be there on July 2nd, the day it is released

adamized, I ordered UK version and as I can recall it has 2 bonus tracks in addition to US bonus tracks. The same happened with FYE UK version.
I totally agree with this, Ron, as well as with all of the above posts regarding Kris. The thing I’m having the most difficulty understanding is that if the situation was reversed, you can bet Glamberts would be all over the media for that mistake. Kris may be so laid back that maybe he isn’t even aware of some of these statements by these articles. However, you would think his fans (do they have a name?) would jump to his defense. I’m not aware of any of that happening. Personally, I’m not happy with Kris in that he has yet to compliment Adam on anything having to do with Trespassing. Just this past weekend, Kris sent out a tweet complimenting Michael Sarver on his new music. Sometimes I do get the feeling that he is purposely NOT complimenting Adam. JMHO

My family treated me to a wonderful brunch out today. On our way to the restaurant, I had my husband turn the radio on to FRESH 94.7. He was surprised to hear that 94.7 is now my new favorite station. I spent many years listening to MIX 107.3 as a favorite. I explained that 94.7 is not only the station that I won the tickets from, but it is also the station that is hosting this FRESHTIVAL event at the National Harbor. They also play Adam quite frequently throughout the day. My husband’s response was, “Adam Lambert seems to be totally controlling your life.”
I had to LOL at this comment, but if he only knew just how much……

dcglam, yea the email I got from Amazon yesterday said that orders would be shipped in the same order as they were placed. If they are just shipping December orders now it’s not looking real likely that I’ll get my CD on Tuesday (order placed May 4). Hopefully can get one from the music store here.

Had a great Adam moment this weekend! My 18-year old daughter and I drove to Oklahoma city this weekend to attend a retirement party for my aunt (second grade elementary school teacher in very low-income school for almost 40 years – she’s amazing!) Anyway, daughter decides to join me at the last minute and I’m elated! … until I realize that I’ve been planning on blasting Trespassing the entire 3 hours getting there and the 3 hours getting back home. Oh well, I decide that I will still give it a listen (but only one, darnit) at a more acceptable volume that I originally intended. Once the music began, she quickly slipped into her eyeball-roller mode – which really put a damper on my listening pleasure. All of a sudden I’m having thoughts like, “Why in the he*% did she have to come? I mean, there’s quality time, and then there’s QUALITY TIME, lol. After it plays through once, I switch to XM and concentrate on navigating through rain, construction zones and Friday afternoon traffic – I would’ve had a hard time enjoying even Adam’s voice in those conditions. On Saturday morning, I’m ready before my little princess – who would’ve guessed, lol – so I start taking things down to the car while she finishes getting her hair and make-up done. When I come back into the hotel room, guess. what. is. playing. on. her. ipod??? TRESPASSING! I had downloaded the tracks onto her Mac and burned myself a CD. She liked it so much that she chose to listen to it by herself! I was so happy – in fact, at this very moment she’s doing homework and listening to Trespassing. Still can’t believe it! Her two favorite tracks are Nirvana and Runnin!
(I know this story was long, but it made me so happy and I hope that it makes y’all happy too – another convert!)

I ordered my delux Trespassing from Amazon on December 18th and it hasn’t been sent out yet. They estimate that it will be sent on the 15th, but who knows? But I didn’t pay for expedited shipping. The regular shipping overseas was just about equal to the cost of the album itself.
Still waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting (to be sung to the tune of Runnin) to find a note in my mailbox that the AO album will be at the post office on the following day. Wouldn’t it be nice if I got it on the 15th, the official release date?
