The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

Last night was a lot of fun here. Sorry if I got to be a little too silly towards the end.
I thought those coming to Toronto might enjoy seeing where Novotel is located in relationship to Air Canada Centre and to my place.
Point “B” is Novotel. I’ve circled in red Air Canada Centre. You guys can all hold hands and skip there in 2 minutes.
Point “A” is where I live. To give you some perspective, Google indicates that it’s an 11 minute walk.
Some of you at Novotel are going to have a wonderful view of Lake Ontario and it will be difficult to not notice the very nearby CN Tower – the world’s tallest free-standing structure.

ETA: The Ed Mirvish Theatre on the map is where Adam appeared for a few months in “Wicked”. A 5 minute walk from my place but this was before “Idol” so … who knew? I didn’t see the show.

Well, I slept thru the Ticketmaster on-sale time. When I did wake up and get online, the first ticket I was offered (for Chicago) was Section 108, Row 1 Seat 1. Not sure if it’s a good one, but I took it. Will probably be a high-traffic area, but I like being on the front row of the low-rise area. Hope that’s what I got. This was a $97 ticket. What do y’all think?

Hi ceddies! Anytime you can get row one in any section of a stadium or arena it’s a good thing.
did manage to get Chicago thru Amex preferred seating-Flr 4 row 4 (not the best but the best I could find)…so will see many of you there.
Sadly, after a very long time at end of NYC sale when they went back to map choices–2 seats rear floor came up and I thought I’d grabbed them but…someone took them right out from under me! No fun…
Nothing elsewhere except nosebleed territory..Did try for SanJose & LA but California too far to travel for those seats. If it was right in my backyard…….

So…I know I can’t go, but had to check tickets for Montréal.
No tickets are available. Zero. (ticketmaster)
Does that mean it is sold out? or just that I can’t buy Canadian ticketmaster seats from the US?
to confuse the issue, there are quite a few platinum tickets left.
Presumably, if I could buy one I could buy the other.

Bonjour Kradamour! I tried the TM site too and was unable to buy tickets other than the Platinum option. The ticketmaster page for Q+A did state that “!Not Many Left” so maybe they have sold out of the regular tickets or the ticket site could be down too. I saw the same thing late last night for the Vancouver show. All part of the ticket-buying roller coaster ride!
ETA – It seems that if you search by artist (Queen+AL), you have 2 purchasing scenarios for Montreal.

Thanks, luval. I had the same thought, so I hope it’s good. There aren’t many tickets left at lower level (height). I don’t like floor and don’t like upper levels.
Now I gotta get serious and look for roommates and travel mates. I will probably drive and am not looking forward to hitting Chicago in the car alone. I’m going to soon start checking out all my options. But right now, I’m on a mission to get my taxes done this weekend–now that I have the concert ticket purchased.

Still 3 months away but I am curious what look he will go for. I’m thinking conserva-tish like at iheart. But deep down inside I would love high hair (of course), a couple of change of outfits, leather, a rhinestone here and there…a smidge of glitter, his medges or other semi-heeled hot boots. Not Freddie in any way but glam Adam to the max! I want him to stand out on stage. Of course his voice will reach the farthest rafter but I want his glowing outfits to reach also.

Yay! So glad to report that husband and I will be going to San Jose!!!!
I spent the first part of the week thinking that I might as well wait till the “official” first day of sales, because peeps here had mentioned it’s not unusual at all for good seats to be available in such large venues. By Thursday I was chewing my fingernails as the reports of how hot this concert is started drifting in, and in a fit of anxiety decided at work to just go ahead and buy…something! Jojosie was the one that mentioned a resale site she trusted (already forgot the name), so went on and bought section 3 floor tickets, row 20 on the business side of the thrust thingy 
– Spent 550 bucks including the blah, blah, blah, but am supremely happy!
Going now to put up some information in the planning thread…

luval I saw that Gaga is coming in June and Cher July 2nd at San Jose as I was navigating Ticketmaster, and they seemed to be pretty much sold up. Not sure how long tickets have been available, though.
I’m not savvy enough to know if Q+A allowed a relatively short or long lead compared to others who play arenas.
Gaga and Bruno will be in my city in June. Both sold out right away. Bruno in 30 seconds. Cher is coming here too, and sold pretty well too.
Good old Q3 is quoting stats over there as we speak. It looks like Q + A is selling faster and better than Q + Paul Rodgers did.
Ok, Bruno, Gaga & Cher. Not bad but been around before. Of those three I would see Cher.

I am hoping to get a call back from Ticketmaster, for accessible seating for just me.
At times I use a cane, because of balance issues etc. Most definitely at a concert!
Otherwise, I do pretty darn good without one.
Anyway, if I do get a ticket for Vancouver, B.C. I will be traveling alone, from Portland,OR.
This is a huge leap for me, since my husband passed away!
I am trusting the universe, and just going for it!
Must get a passport.
I am of need for some ideas for a hotel, and would be thrilled to share a room.

Talk about a frantic chaotic week, is an understatement.
I originally was planning on Las Vegas, but totally forgot I was house/animal sitting. That really threw me off, and now I don’t have a companion, that can travel with me to Vancouver, B.C. My husband & I had always wanted to visit this magical city.
I am so thrilled for all of you, and the great joyous outburst of complete ecstatic happiness over getting your tickets!!!!
P.S.I have to wait until Ticketmaster calls, but they did acknowledge my e-mail, and an agent is going to call.

Vancouver is a beautiful and kind city, or so I have found it to be.
Adam has inspired so many of us to stretch beyond our comfort zone. You will have a great time and be so glad you went!
Mils or anyone, which Crowne Plaza Hotel is the one where most of you are staying? I’ve found Crowne Plaza, Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Downtown and another one–maybe two others.
Oh yeah, Magnificent Mile and Ohare are the two others.
ETA: NVM, I looked back and found the right one to be Metro Downtown.

Truly the biggest scam and such blatant scalping! It’s such a slap in the face to be trying to buy tickets on Tixbastard like today for MSG, seeing it flash “high demand no tickets available” and then see them listing reseller tickets right below for 3 times the price of the ticket you can’t have. Burns my craw! I was able to get 2 decent tickets after an hour into the open sale, 2 on the floor nearer the back and 1 single one side of stage.
