Exciting times are upon us as July begins! Adam has just completed an outstanding first full length concert with Queen at a charity event in Kiev, Ukraine (as captured in the photo above). Five more Queen + Adam Lambert concerts are lined up for Moscow, Wroclaw (Poland) and London during the next couple of weeks. Adam will then return to the United States to play a series of solo concerts during the second half of the month, including gigs in Costa Mesa, Sacramento, Des Moines, Thackerville (Oklahoma), and a much anticipated return to the site of one of his first and most memorable concerts at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. All told, Adam will perform in 10 live concerts this month, which will make this his busiest month for live performances since November 2010 when he was in the European portion of the Glam Nation Tour. As always, enjoy the chat!

Well, the boy looks VERY happy and he’s been making out in a bar with a hot blonde so maybe my angst is misplaced.

There’s always something coming down the pike where the boy is concerned. Wonder what’s next.

And its great to be back on a big computer screen, will try and watch all the videos again now I’m back.
I’m just trying to make an album of my concert pics, some of them are not too bad. Will post a link if it works!!
It was great meerting everyone at the dinner. Saw some pictures linked here, and I must say I saw myself in the background looking miserable…I really wasn’t, I had a lovely night!!!
Can’t believe it was already a week ago.

So what is next? After reading the posts from last night I think Adam getting the AI judging gig is real important now. I was torn at first but I see how this could catapult Adam into outer space. Yeah, the hatred will come out but whataya gonna do? The power of the Glamberts backing Adam will be in full force. Now who to judge with him. In my mind I am liking Fergie. But the third judge? Not even sure if i’d want a boy or girl.

Had the day off yesterday, so I put my real live in order! I also have the day off today but nothing to do! NO ADAM NEWS!? No articles, no tweets, no nothing? Major crisis of abstinence going on here!

Hopefully, next time Adam tweets will be to announce he´s going to be Judge on Idol. Grin

  7. Calgary says:

I hate to give any props to Perez Hilton but in the same interview where he dissed Queenbert he also dissed US radio, saying “they play the same 15 songs over and over. I don’t get it.”

Adam’s good friend, Alisan Porter, is expecting a baby boy today. I’m hoping for some more adorable Adam/baby pics.Heart
    Best wishes, Alisan!!

I will probably get things thrown at me but I feel I need to voice my opinion. I am a real fan of MJ’s. It’s the first place I stop on the Internet each morning and has been since I discovered her blog in season 5 of American Idol. My only criticism is that she is now covering too many shows. I liked it better when it was just Idol. She manages it better than any of the other multi show, multi idol blogs. I ventured into Idol internet fandom in season 5 as a fan of Taylor Hicks. If things get boring and some of you would like to hear about another Idol fandom, I could give you the similarities and some insider information. I don’t just read Adam items there. I have some interest in several other Idol contestants, current and past, and believe me there are some negative folks on lots of the other threads too. I guess my age and background in the Human Services field has made me more tolerant or thicker skinned. You need to realize that some folks just don’t care for Adams music or his style and lastly some-folks just get their kicks out of ticking off other folks and some are very good at it. For me life is too short to let those folks bother me too much. And lastly Adam fans are not entirely blameless as I’ve seen some be very unkind to other Idols, entertainers, columnist, djs, etc. I come here every day and really enjoy it, I don’t visit too many other Adam sites but I still do enjoy my daily trips to MJ’s. If we were all the same, things would be boring. Do I need to duck now? Question

  10. Kradamour says:

Jojosie, don’t duck – hold your head up high. Imma go out on a limb here and say that I agree with your post.

Gotta say I haven’t been to MJs for a couple of years – but I never watched Idol and don’t know any of the other idols, but if I did, I would definitely visit her site.
Does she hate Adam? who knows. MJ is a quirky individual, which I imagine is why she started the blog in the first place. I don’t remember anyone ever saying that she personally says anything unfavorable/disrespectful/ugly about Adam. THAT could lead me to say that the site was off limits to an Adam fan.
But as to how she moderates her blog? (shrug) I’m not going to try to interpret her motives, especially since we don’t know what else she has blocked, deleted, or moderated, and doubtless there is some ugly stuff that peeps try to post that we never even see. When I did go there, prior to the creation of this wonderful sandbox, I was struck by her apparently genuine efforts to maintain a civil marketplace of ideas.

But again, I haven’t visited there since this venue opened, and things may be way different now. But the impression I get from you guys is that she is exasperated and frustrated and does sometimes lash out – but I think I would, too, to be honest. We all know from personal experience that the Adam fandom can be…um…passionate, verbal, opinionated, and determined to get our boy out there…and not everyone is as nice about it as we are.

    Just some thoughts.
And my advice (free for the taking! and probably worth about that much) is to visit MJs for news of other shows or idols, but to stay away if you are only going there for Adam.

Jojosie, I think that alternative views are always a good idea if presented respectfully and with a good heart. Just like your post.
    Yes Yes Yes

  11. milwlovesadam says:

Jojosie, I actually totally agree with you. There are many other perspectives out there. I still go to MJ’s to catch up on Glee, and other things. I am still posting.

I really didn’t like the incident with Ron, but, I found myself back there again for the same reasons you stated Jo. And I agree, there are some Adam fans who go OTT, just as with other Idol fans.

Our fan bubbles are so “small world.” Most people are not aware of anything we talk about. Most people honestly don’t care. Most people don’t see radio for what we see it as. Most people truly don’t listen to the radio except for commute time in the car. Most people forget about Idol as soon as an episode is over or the season is over. Even most people who liked Adam on Idol don’t follow him like we do.

I guess I still go over there because I get something out of it. I drop a positive post whenever I can. I get a lot of “likes” so my comments must mean something to some people. I try to follow the rules, and would never, and I mean, never, insult another poster or make a stab at another Idol. I make a conscious effort to avoid that type of posting.

To me, I get “news” from there that I would have to search for, and would take time away from my Adam stanning. A girl’s gotta have priorities!

  12. Ceddies says:

If we were all the same, things would be boring. Do I need to duck now? Question

Nah, JOJOSIE. Not from me anyway. I don’t like when bad things are said about Adam; but I ,too, like to at least read the headlines of what’s going on with a few of the other Idols. I go there usually only when something is going on with Adam or if I am bored and there’s nothing going on with Adam. I may hit that site 2 or 3 times a week. While I’m there, I read back thru the headlines for the past week or so to see if there’s anything significant going on with the others. I don’t post there, but I sometimes “like” some of the comments on her Adam thread.

There may be something to your theory of having worked in Human Services for so many years. I worked for over 28 years with a State Agency that changed umbrellas three times from Dept of Education/Department of Human Services/Department of Rehabilitation Services—all the while performing as HUMAN services. Everyone has their set of circumstances and ways of handling it. Seems, though, some of them are fixated on taking it out on Adam and maybe they do it because they know they can get under our skin that way and it gets rid of their aggression in real life. Or is it that deep?

  13. Ceddies says:

Kradamour and Mils, I like your comments.

  14. milwlovesadam says:

Kradamour, just read your post and totally agree.

I found myself moderated there just once, when someone whose name starts with “clear” objected to our joking about the GB. I had an email exchange with MJ in which she sided with “clear” in the context that she had several emails about younger fans, underage, who lurk but didn’t post, and their objections to the tone of some of our joking and dialogue. Which more than likely came from parents.

It had never occurred to me that there would be minors reading our threads, as young as 8-10 years old, and I apologized to MJ. But, I also felt that as a mom myself, that kids that young should be supervised on their computer usage. I know I was careful with my own kids, as much as I could be. MJ agreed, but said she can’t be responsible for what goes on in people’s houses, but she can be careful about her site.

She said that she is very tolerant about her Adam concert threads, and lets us have a lot of a lot of fun, and lets the threads stay alive for long periods of time because she knows how passionate we are. And, that she didn’t read them after a couple of days because she was too busy. But, if she had complaints, she would pop in and see what was going on. Like that time with the chicken soup conversation. ( My fault, BTW).

That “thing” with “clear” really got under my skin. I felt like the fun had been called to a halt. I had a lengthy dialogue in private with baebae about that. She was going to leave MJ’s herself after that.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you. Going there is a love/hate thing at times.

  15. milwlovesadam says:

Ceddies, I think it is that deep. I think for many people the anonymity of the internet is an easy way to lash out, an easy way to get rid of or transfer bad feelings they have in real life.

The unique thing about us, is that we meet in real life, and enjoy seeing each other, and form a special relationship that most people just cannot understand. So we are nice to each other and respect each other in a way that you just don’t find anywhere else.

And because of this, we don’t bash each other in our blog.

I don’t know how significant any of these Polls are but they’re there for some reason. Entertainment Weekly has a Daily Poll and today it’s:

Which American Idol casting rumor do you hope is true?

    As it stands now …

    Aretha Franklin ______ 22%
    Adam Lambert _______ 39%
    Mariah Carey _________ 24%
All of the above ______ 13%

    http://www.ew.com/ew/

Personally, I’m with you Kradamour. I vote for Cher. Perfect choice! But, she’s not listed on the EW poll, so it was a hard decision to make but … I voted for Adam. Wink

  18. Oksana2000 says:

I have to say that I agree with all of you regarding MJ’s. Even if I get frustrated by some posters over there at least it’s a variety of opinions.
Sometimes I get aggravated when I see posts that are clearly trolling done by regulars.I have to admit of being banned once or twice for really innocent comment, but it’s a history..
Anyway, I read some threads , most of them not if they pertain to a Idol I don’t care about. At least I don’t make negative comments about any of them – cause as I said – I don’t care about them.
I’m not sure but it seems to me that MJ does not allow any comments trashing “glamberts” as a group, cause first of all it’s a personal attack, and secondly we have other fandoms posting there.
Also, whenever I read comment made by BSC glambert the only word cames to my mind.. FACEPALM..
    Howg!!

  19. milwlovesadam says:

OMG. That video is fantastic. I signed the petition. They used every special moment from the shows. Great attention to detail.

Who remembers which song Adam twirls in with the black tshirt and bare arms, I think Poland? He had his arms out wide.

  20. milwlovesadam says:

Why do I have a funny feeling that Adam is going to be a final contender for the job? That it’s not just a rumor? He seems to be the only contender out there to be openly embracing the job. Besides Aretha.

Just in case if Adam will get judging job (however unlikely) I can imagine Idol thread at MJ. By the time anyone will comment on actual contestant we gonna have 100 comments on Adam’s hair, 100 on his make-up , 200 on what he’s wearing and about gazillion on how bad judge he is.

I’m going to buy some stocks in Orwill Redenbacher company… Smile

Just went to the ew.com link above and saw the link for George Michael’s new video. Damn, that man gets better looking with each year. I had heard the song White Light this past Sunday (I think) on Larry Flick’s show. He said it and the album was prompted by a pneumonia battle a few months ago in which Michael almost died. When I heard the song, I thought “Now that’s a type of rhythm that is so catchy, and I would love for Adam to do one with that beat—sort of like Oh My Ra”.

Hmmm, he uses the “F” word about halfway thru it. Let’s see how that plays out.

Wonder if there is any hidden message here, like if you want this tour, gotta get NCOE some air play.

  29. glambotgram says:

HKFAN love your pictures. You might have the one with the most of Adam’s belly. lol Glad you had a great time.

LOL about the Adam can get us to do anything tweet, I was thinking during all the Fat Bottomed Girls videos, Adam is the only one who could get me to stand up and say
“Yes ME, I have a Fat Bottom. Laugh

  30. Kradamour says:

Big article in the paper today about Mariah Carey as a judge for Idol – apparently she is a friend of Randy’s and has been approached by other shows, and there is the thought that she could bring to Idol what Britney is going to bring to another show. (Presumably that is a good thing, according to article)

  31. luval says:

If Adam is referring to the tour I feel very sad. Does he not know that radio just won’t play his music? I don’t think any amount of requesting will change a thing. Maybe he’s not referring to the tour but that sounds plausible.

  32. luval says:

Kradamour… Not only is Mariah a friend but he is her manager.

  33. Miss Chaos says:

I read what I want at MJs, otherwise I gave up posting there because of the things MJ left on there About Adam, that was uncalled for, now it makes my stress level so much better because I dont feel the need to post something back to a nasty poster, even tho I stayed nice. It seems a lot of them have gone away or been banned, HAHAHa. I cant get over the small amount of posts on any thread of past Idols. But give a thread that is about Adam or some how his name comes up, the thread will go to the hundreds.

The Idol tour thread? Last I looked 7 posts? Even tho there werent any MJ people there.

Adams tour threads- 800 to 1000, even tho there was fighting! HaHA those were the days. I hope Adam is a judge, even tho there will be a lot of backlash, but it will be fun, if MJ can keep it civil. But remember according to the posters, he only is offered the job and taking it, because they will get him cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  34. Kradamour says:

Adam’s tweet makes me sad. And angry. Honestly, how hard has that man worked to get radio play??? and NOTHING!!!
Ain’t gonna say I love the song, but it is his single and it is what we have to work with.
But if his label screwed him over by making him release a Bruno song and it doesn’t take off and then because of that, they write him off, it will be a cruel and stupid joke. On them.

“Shameless”, Adam? No, cheri, you are determined and proud. You’re doing what you have to do and not worrying what others think, or being ashamed to promote yourself.

  35. milwlovesadam says:

No, Adam isn’t shameless at all. But, just as I ( we) feared, his CD and single were forgotten here while he was very busy and working very hard in the UK and with Queen. How long was he gone, forget flipping home for that one off show, was it over a month?

What he needs is television exposure here with another song.

    Radio is a complete fail.

  36. milwlovesadam says:

Makes me laugh, MJ making a thread for that wonderful interview we were discussing yesterday. Makes me think about the love/hate relationship we mentioned this morning. She does give Adam’s fans a place to gush. And I just can’t stay away.

  37. milwlovesadam says:

kradamour, have you looked at the planning thread for Des Moines talk? We are starting to make plans, and need your input please.

  38. glambotgram says:

mils Twirly Adam in the tank, I Want To Break Free Moscow, at the end.

  39. Ceddies says:

What he needs is television exposure here with another song.

When he appears on tv shows, does he get paid? I was just wondering if there was no cost/very little cost for him to appear on these shows, maybe that’s where we should concentrate our efforts by emailing specific shows, tweeting, whatever for them to have him on. Maybe a show that would show footage of him with Queen over the pond. What shows would possibly do that?

And would his label let him sing the song of his choice?

  40. milwlovesadam says:

Thanks glambotgrasm. Wondering if there is a gif of that?

  41. Oksana2000 says:
  42. Ceddies says:

Wonder if Adam knows how much angsting and attempts at problem-solving we all do concerning his music and his life—and ultimately our lives as we want and NEED him to be around for a long time.

ETA: He knows we have his back, though.

  43. luval says:

mils, I remember a twirly gif. Can’t find it.

  44. turquoisewaters says:

Just got my UK Edition Trespassing. So for anyone else who ordered – it should be in the mail. Big Smile

  45. turquoisewaters says:

Like I said before, I fully expect WW3 if Adam becomes a judge, but at this point I’m ready.
re MJs: I go occasionally only. Sometimes I just feel some comments need to be rebuffed. Totally missed Ron’s incident over there because I was gone and also because I don’t know his username over there. But I felt the sting of MJ’s moderating before (for what I thought was a perfectly innocuous lighthearted comment). But oh well. Clearly she is not an Adam fan. But apart from some incidents that I found unjustifiable, I really think she is doing the best she can. She is just coming from a different corner than I.

  46. luval says:

turquoisewaters…I got mine in the mail yesterday. The Map is so beautiful!

  47. ultimathule says:

Agree, xoxo – no Idol attracts the hate like Adam does.

  48. ultimathule says:

Might also note, MJ put up the David Cook interview from Indonesia just before – would have looked pretty silly not to put up the great Adam one from Canada with a prominent interviewer.

  49. luval says:

Is that petition different than the other one from a couple of weeks ago? I don’t want to sign twice.

  50. turquoisewaters says:

“no Idol attracts the hate like Adam does”
flipside: No idol attracts such intense adoration.
This causes jealousy. That’s human nature. What compounds this is that with Adam comes a whole value system and outlook on life, and that riles people up who don’t share his positions. He is everything they hate wrapped into one, and that he is so damn nice and charming is probably the worst thing about him.
