September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    OMG, this is awesome. Audio recording of Roger in an interview talking about how much he wants to records with Adam. Not just that it may happen, but that he hopes it happens and that he’s sure it will happen.

    “I would hope so. I would hope it would, actually. I think it would be a very interesting experiment. It would be nice to just go in and see what came out. I don’t know if it would be an album or anything, but I think it’s too good a marriage to just let it go at touring. I’m sure we’ll do something. His voice is so extraordinary, and it’s a beautiful instrument. I think it would be nice. We better come up with some material…”

    riskylady – Shoshanna’s “proud” tweet with that Billboard article about a new management conglomerate was sent out on October 20, so it had nothing to do with her exchange with that one fan today about Adam being out of sight out of mind.

    When that one fan asked that Adam throw us a bone because he’s been out of sight out of mind, Shoshanna replied back that he’s been on an arena tour and a TV show while recording his album, and that when they’re ready, he will be in sight and in mind.

    Good grief, I’m not sure what that fan expects. I thought Adam threw us a couple of very nice, big, meaty, tasty bones (ahem) last week with his ATT Live Proud performance, followed immediately by his appearance at the MarcoMarco show! I’m still nibbling away! Smile

    Thanks mils and cwm but it wasn’t entirely unexpected. The real concern for everyone in every western country right now is the randomness of most of these attacks. Keep calm and carry on, or, as HK fan’s guide to British-speak would say: Blitz Spirit. We can’t let it get to us.

    RE: the tweets to Shoshanna. Some fans see their tweeting and trending as public relations support for Adam and it is great that they do this. The ardent and daily tweeters are deeply appreciated by this intermittent tweeter who jumps in only when something big is happening

    Taking his publicist to task for not tweeting enough is a bit weird, though.

    Do they not have confidence that Adam and/or his management will speak out if he/they feel that his interests are not being served? He’s a big boy and he is also a very smart one.

    My guess is that Adam’s contribution to BB and HH and other clubs that his friends have is largely promotional – people will go to the club in part because they hope to see Adam there. He and his guests gets complimentary drinks and meals (and perhaps his birthday parties.)

    There is a lot of that in LA and NYC. I used to spend one week out of every month in LA in the 90’s and worked my way through many of the restaurants that were hot at the time. They all seemed to be aligned with different celebrities and they all offered the hint that if you went there you might see those celebrities.

    I was quite a sucker for that type of advertising and never did see anyone exciting.

    It definitely works though. Had many a conversation with waiters and/or people at near-bye tables who had come for the same reason we had.

    Let’s be honest – aren’t we all planning to have lunch or early dinner at BB or HH if we get to LA? I certainly am. Who’s coming with me?

    cwm, TLKC, totally agree. Do not understand fans a) berating Shoshanna or b) gauging his visibility by traffic on the fan site LOL. There are so many other ways to “view” Adam! Twitter, Facebook where he has posted himself lately, Tumblr, Instagram, many blogs, just Googling him. And there was lots of media about ATT and MarcoMarco, and just recently Idol.
    I really get annoyed at some tweeters and their little wars, too. And the entitlement, LAWDY, the entitlement.
    It would be nice if he would do a Twitter party soon – it’s been a while and the natives do get restless, but he is a busy guy and we can’t expect 24/7 entertainment from him.
    Can’t wait to see his Halloween creation. Last year’s devil has been getting some nice press lately! Very striking!!

    Sad news about the Canadian attacks, so random. I think this type of act will continue (they tried in Australia recently). It means everyone has to be alert and aware of surroundings. We had to live like that in Nicaragua for a few years until the actual war; you just have to be expecting the possibility of something and it becomes a sort of habit.

    Exactly riskylady. When I think of what rs and people in many countries have to deal with, we North Americans are comparatively lucky. We will just have to learn to deal with it.

    I was at a citizenship forum last week and heard what so many people who had just become citizens had to say about why they chose Canada. I was thinking about them yesterday and wondering if this raises old country fears for some of them.

    Just a few weeks ago I was passing a Ukrainian travel agency very near my house and and a policemen was trying to resolve an argument between two men. As I passed I overheard him say “But we are in Canada now. In Canada we are all brothers.” I love moments like that but yesterday was a reality check.

    I think of the Shoshanna fans are a little like those over-bearing mothers who are always interfering with the teacher and the school because they feel their kid is not being recognized for how much smarter/better/deserving he is than the rest of the class.

    Chunkey Monkey touched on it in a humourous way a while back. Apparently a lot of people weren’t as amused as I was. She replaced the list with a “TV snow signal” icon for a few days and when she came back the list was much shorter. She had some good points in there.

    On why they chose Canada… A few weeks ago Canada decided to support the US coalition against Isis and sent several Canadian war planes to help. The attacks were supposedly because of this. “Payback”. Big Frown

    Yes, luval, and every country involved will now be subject to random acts like this. Personally, I really don’t see how these IS people can be defeated without ground combat as well as air strikes. I also don’t understand how countries like Turkey, and the others nearby, who are surely AT RISK, don’t take military action themselves. They will become part of the “caliphate” if they don’t act. (IMHO)

    Re Adam and Miss Black USA 2011…this year’s winner (Miss Black USA 2014) is an Air Force officer, served in Afghanistan last year. I don’t love pageants, but I do love it when boxes are flattened so that people can see beyond the walls.

    Interestingly, the pageant replaced swimsuit competition with athletic wear competition to display the competitor’s general fitness. Not sure what was hidden by those swimsuits, but they definitely weren’t something that could be used for actual swimming…

    I haven’t checked in yet today, just saw the vids Luval posted at 9:09 last night, the Idol behind the scenes vids from Season 8, so I don’t know if others were posted.
    Here is another in that genre, the other idols talking about Adam, I remember seeing this one a long time ago, it is worth bringing back.
