September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    Hey – that’s right, nkd – coincidence? Wearing a gift from a friend in LA? Sorta adds up. Maybe something to Adam’s choice of song – “If I Go” – his life now is just dedicated to his career – can’t accommodate much else, wouldn’t think.

    Commenting on his lifeline photo, Sauli said in one interview when asked about Adam he said they still keep in contact by phone. He said in a recent interview that he’s known for BB (big brother),being Adam’s boyfriend, being Adam’s ex boyfriend and now BB again. It’s funny that a Finnish celebs name is Cheeks and Sauli is a fan of his. I follow Sauli and his sister Molly Moonstone on Instagram. I also follow Adam’s ex band members, back-up singers and dancers and a lot of his friends. (and of course Adam too)

    I have a new Adam story.

    I had a medical appointment today after work. A new place, new MD, never been to that office before. As I opened the door, there was music playing.

    Fat Bottom Girls. ( In a medical office. Loud classic rock. Wow. I’m gonna like coming here!!!)

    So, as I walked up to the desk to check in, the receptionist asks me if I found the place, if I liked the remodel of the office, and I just said, “well, I like the music for sure!”

    She said,”yeah, I heard they were on tour with Adam Lambert. Gawd. I loooooooved him on Idol.” The other gal behind the desk chimes in “oh, yeah, me too, he was freaking awesome!”

    So, my silent tally of Glamberts is going ca-ching, and I’m wondering how far to take this.

    So, I decide to kinda go there. I say that I saw QAL 3 times, and was “this” far from them all. And then I whipped out my pics. They went a little cray.

    So, here’s my take away, one of them knew about QAL. One wasn’t up to date on Adam, but is a fan. I left them a short list of vids, and will check on their progress next time.

    I took it as a good sign, good luck, good karma about hearing Queen as I opened the door.

    Yes. I’m strange. Got the memo a long time ago. Razz

    Or, sometimes, a stank face, but generally a total lack of recognition. Once I mentioned Glee to a Glee fan and got a blank look and then “oh, so he was that guy from Idol?”.
    (shakes head)
    If not for MJ’s and now ALL, I would have given up my personal fandom years ago.

    The further it gets from season 8 the more people have not heard of Adam I noticed. Especially younger people…med students here at work. They’ve heard of Queen but not Adam. I remind them of American Idol but they don’t watch it! For that matter they don’t watch the Voice either.

    Adam is the best kept secret in the entertainment business. Anyone out of the loop hasn’t heard of him. He does something first, and then others copy him and get famous.

    Adam’s still a media magnet, though – all he has to do is walk through an airport or buy light bulbs and the paps are there. He may be more well known than our individual experiences indicate.

    Sometimes I think that the paps at the airport are waiting for someone else. Probably just stationed there just in case a celebrity walks by. They seem to all know and love Adam so it’s a given that they photograph him. Now the lightbulb store? That one is a mystery. Same with the furniture one.

    Love this one luval…..like it even more than the thread pic at the top of the page…

    I had a brief chat with my daughters Irish Dance teacher on sunday while on a sampan ride, about Adam…..can’t remember what got us onto the subject…anyways, she likes him, don’t know if she has any of his music, but thinks he’s lovely, and really liked him on Glee. Told her and her husband about him with Queen….It was on;y a few minutes, and nothing in Mils’s leagues, but it was nice to have a bit of a chat without any eye rolling!!!

    Well, my fellow ALL’ers, exactly 4 years ago ( FOUR years ago ) I was packing to go to Hawaii and meet up with several of you, have a meet and greet, and see 2 shows, spy Suz for the first time, meet several rabid fans at shows, be super close up, find out that Leila was right smack behind me, spy Tommy’s mom up front, go to a luau
    ( and not get any pineapple served to us LOL ), swim in Hanauma Bay, and have an absolute ball.

    *** sniff ****

    Aahh. Such sweet memories.
