September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    Thanks for posting this video ulti.

    The weird thing about the female pop star iconography is that those images are very costly to cultivate. Music videos are hugely expensive and MTV/Much Music etc. no longer play them 24/7 or even 1/7.

    The financial rewards for making music are dropping every day. Extravaganza shows are hugely expensive and can cut into touring profits so much that they are starting to make less and less financial sense, for newbies anyway. KP and Britney are “sure things” so the potential rewards are judged to be worth the risk. How much longer are music execs going to plow millions into untested artists?

    IMHO, any decent music exec is looking at Taylor Swift and Lorde, who don’t have to pay other people to write songs for them and whose music styles don’t require the expense of Las Vegas-style stage sets. These young ladies are the future of music because their advantages show on the bottom line.

    It’s only a matter of time.

    Yeah.. I also remember that interview except for the first minutes… They did show earlier in that interview (but not in this video) what was the initial audition song of Adam (Rock with You from Michael Jackson).

    @luval.. yeah… he was so articulate… I totally fell in love with him when he gave that backstage press conference after the idol final in that same outfit as this interview.

    Hi glambotgram…I went to the http://www.calyptic.com but I did not see a “log-in”. What am I missing or not seeing? It took me to the part where you can order a calendar, puzzle, etc but I couldn’t find the log-in.

    Of course you got Hemingway, Kradamour. Let me see, what do you have in common? Paris, to start with. A very particular culture and time in Paris: expat Americans/Englishmen/Canadians all escaping the “quotidien”. A very specific sensibility which is captured perfectly in his books.

    It’s not a surprise that people on this blog, who are caught up in Adam’s journey and are attracted to him in part because of his many good and human qualities, would get Hemingway. We haven’t bought into the “whatever” culture and we still think lot of ideas and ideals matter.

    I got ice cream…You’re sweet but can come across as a little cold. You tend to have a lot of admirers, and do especially well with kids.

    Kind of agree with this one…I am very shy, so can come across as rather reserved, takes a while for people to get to know me, although I try hard to be more open….And I work in a nursery….don’t know about the admirers part though..

    Very different jeans Adams wearing in that new pic, and definitely different hair, quite like it…beard still needs a trim thoughSmile

    The Jim Hendrix blurb reminds me of someone:

    The poll is about the artist in you, glambotgram. It’s what’s inside that counts. Charlie Chaplin is one of the most creative minds of the 20th century. His films are brilliant. Check out Robert Downey in the film “Chaplin”. Not at all a waddler in real life and quite handsome.

    I’ve never seen that video either. It appears to be the day after Idol and he seems to have spent the full episode there, co-hosting with Mario. That’s kind of weird when you know that he was runner-up. EXTRA must have specified that they wanted Adam regardless of who wins.

    Haha, rs, I’m a Mozart and a pizza too. Pretty sure he never ate one. Funny how we have a number of Mozarts and Hendrixes, with a sprinkle of Chaplin and others. I think Adam probably has something of each – he is a chameleon AND an enigma in some ways.

    aww, thanks TLKC….it is something I’ve tried to work on, I think living overseas has helped a lot….and age too probably!! I know the tests are just for fun, and not very accurate..especially for me as they are all American, so often I don’t even understand some answers…plus there’s usually an alcohol or coffee related question which I always have to lie on!!
