September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    Y’know, it is funny how these silly buzzfeed quizzes can reveal some truths…my color is red – according to the quiz, and I am always attracted to red things – but I have longed all my life for blue to be my color…I try and try to bring blue into my life but am never successful, it is so strange…it never sticks.
    Question
    adamized has the most charming blue kitchen, I feel so at home there! But blue things in my own home feel foreign, and no blue clothing item except denim and chambray ever lasts long in my closet. When I wear blue I feel too obvious.
    And yet, I have been told by so many people over the years that I have a highly visible blue aura.
    Question
    Ah, well…
    Thinking
    twilight would be able to explain this.

    And (one last ho-y post) I loved the tweet about Adam knowing his fans so well and getting our tweets – and we his – while others scratch their heads.
    His relationship with us really is unique, I think, and rather fascinating.

    I love, love, love Adam’s style now! He has always been an original, but now that he has money and even more maturity and confidence, he has really come into his own. He takes what is in fashion and adds his own tweeks, combining his old often worn things with new items to make his own individual style. And it is so varied. I don’t know another celebrity (although I admit I don’t follow many) who can change up his look so totally and still look comfortable and perfect in each look. And by the way, Pharrell might have made the hat popular lately, but Adam had been wearing hats on and off for years. I am sure that some of you can find some of the early fedora photos (and not just from photo shoots).

    And while I am not a great fan of the dark mustache, I really love the scruff, especially now when it is close to his natural hair color. When I see the clean shaven look now, I miss the scruff.

    Was going to say that too…that he wore hats way before Pharrell. Although the press and public may not know. Haven’t heard that comparison yet but am sure it’s coming. Adam must love the cooler weather coming. So much more an opportunity to break out the Elmo Fur! (He’s so quick witted)!

    True, lots of peeps including Adam have worn hats in the past, but right now in this moment hat=Pharrell in the public consciousness.
    I still love Adam’s hat a LOT, though.

    Sad about the Kesha/Dr. Luke allegations. The only thing I will say is that when I read about how intelligent Kesha is (according to HS records) I understand how she and Adam were friends. When you only looked at outward appearance it was kind of hard to get.

    I taught in an International Bac program…it is not easy to get in, and the kids of course are very bright, but also just a little bit quirky to be willing to leave their home school and all their friends to be a part of the program – not easy for a typical 8th grader, even a bright one, to make that choice.
    I loved my IB students and I wasn’t surprised when I learned that Kesha had been a part of that program.

    loved that little vid, riskylady! Fun to watch him interact and be so confident and comfortable in his skin. Maybe I am imagining it, but there does seem to be an added edge to that confidence since the QAL tour, as how could there not be after that.

    So…what more do we want for Adam? He has achieved so much, including finally being one of the cool kids.
    The rich and famous part?
    The mad respect of his peers part?
    The breaking down barriers part?
    The achievement of a personal style that is recognized and applauded?
    Seems to have nailed it.
    Perhaps the only real remaining hurdle is a hugely successful album.
    And (in his personal context) a life partner, if he still wants that.
    Not bad for 5 years of hard work.
    Would like to think that we the fandom had a hand in his success, and I think that we did (with the occasional hiccup from a rabid uberfan or two).
    Lots to be pleased about.

    Agree, Kradamour, with everything you said.
    And yes, Glamberts now have a well-earned rep as the most dedicated and devoted fanbase; even though small compared to some, we are much more active and I think had some contribution to the success and broadcasting of the Queen tour. The hundreds of Adam fans’ videos out there have helped too by illustrating how wonderful the concerts were to undecideds. (In spite of a few squabbles amongst the fanbase lol.)

    And I JUST LOVE HIS CURRENT LOOK!!!!! The gold, the gold, the gold! In that video you can see his gauges and they are shiny gold.

    Adam probably met Carmen Electra at the Cyndi Lauper benefit. I liked her little act. She is very cute, I think a C list celebrity now but what the heck. She could be a female twink.
