September was a month full of surprises – Adam on Idol, Adam out and about and then to wrap up the month, the announcement of the UK and European Q+AL tour in early 2015. Can’t wait to see what October has in store! In the meantime, we’ll continue with the weekly walk down memory lane and revisit the summer’s concerts.

    There was one set of photos that were so casual and perfect and wonderful – just a pleasure to see Adam so comfortable and relaxed.
    Does anyone else think he had a sort of Pharrell vibe tonight? And it isn’t just the hat..something about the eyes and chin…dunno, but I immediately thought of Pharrell.

    AL or eywflyer – since this was an actual 4-song set with Adam as the featured performer, whataya think about creating a separate thread for tonight’s performance, so that we can have a proper place for the wonderful videos, photos, and discussion? You could just dump everything from the last few pages over into the new thread and it would be complete! Big Smile

    I often forget just how wonderful of a musician Adam is. I just want to hear him sing(by himself) all the time! What a lovely treat that was, listening to 4 songs before bed. Didn’t realize we were going to get a performance! Love, Love, Love Adam! Heart Heart Heart

    And it has to be said that whenever someone finds an article of clothing that Adam is wearing, like the Balmain jacket that cwm posted, Adam wears it so much better than the model.

    Hi asifclueless! Yes Sarah Palin can see SSM from her house now, and perhaps LGBTQ Catholics can see some light at the end of the tunnel, too.

    There is a lot of opposition in the church, though.

    Frank Bruni’s column in last weekend’s New York Times last week anticipated the synod and offers a pretty good round-up on the ways in which the church is applying doctrine and meting out discipline on a very selective basis at the moment:

    Bruni also wrote a column about the diocese in Cincinnati, which added a morals clause to it teacher contracts last year. Teachers had to sign a clause that prohibits support for SSM and abortion or anyone who advocates those things (say a political candidate?) It is mysteriously quiet on the subject of capital punishment, which church doctrine also prohibits:

    Pope Francis is a breath of fresh air and much power to him. The church apparatus is as political as it is religious and he has his work cut out for him.

    ETA: by political I mean corporate-style political, not politics-political. There are power blocks inside and outside the Vatican and they are intransigent.

    Beautiful set. There is nothing quite like Adam acoustic is there? I am glad he sang Trespassing – love that song so much. AOBTD was amazing. He made it completely different by moving up the tempo and adding a lot of passion.

    Short but very sweet.

    I love Adam’s acoustic variations of the Queen songs. He was singing them for months with Brian and Roger in a certain way that fit the Queen “vibe” and was appropriate for the QAL concert, and now he could just be totally himself and perform them in a way that he wanted and that was right for this occasion. Did I say that I loved it? I have been listening and dancing over and over since I got home today Clap Victory Jump Music Note
