October was a relatively quiet month for Adam. His short set at AT&T Live Proud was one of the few times that Adam has performed solo in a while so was nice to see and hear. I’m sure that October will end with a bang since Adam is hosting his 2nd annual Halloween bash.
November’s photo is from Adam’s appearance at the Marco Marco fashion show.

    There seems to be so much “hate” in the world. I don’t know if there is more or if we are just so much more aware with the press and the social media covering everything as it is happening.

    RS So very sorry that your part of the world is experiencing such atrocities.

    While on my Rhine River cruise I visited the empty lot in Heidelberg where the Old Synagogue used to be. There is a plaque describing how it was destroyed by the Nazis. Does nobody see the parallels with what is happening in the world today?

    I strongly agree with the truth in this statement.

    I think Nile most likely intended to follow up with an email, as he mentioned. His tweets are a tribute to the way Adam and Sam Sparro first contacted him. Very cool and continuing.

    Actually, I hope Adam’s management and his new label let him do this. Duets with major icons are pretty hot at the moment and you can count the Sixties super-divas who supercede Diana Ross on the fingers of one hand (starting with Babs.)

    Also, there is NO WAY Nile tweeted Adam without Diana’s approval. She is a Queen Bee. Quite the big thing, imho.

    Please let him sing with her. A whole lot of attention (and respect) to be gotten there.

    I know. Part of Nile is like a 2-year-old; fully trusting in the powers of the universe to deliver the necessary karma to his doorstep, however he asks for it. In spite of his cancer and the ups-and-downs of his life, he is still looking for the next win and confident that the universe will unfold as it should. It is funny. And sweet.

    A good person for Adam to be around. A very positive energy.

    A Montana judge has given the go-ahead to SSM starting immediately, bringing the number of states where SSM is legal to 35. Unless the 5th circuit surprises us, we won’t be getting any more movement until SCOTUS takes the case. Still, it’s getting better and betterer.

    Michael Slezak just tweeted that American Idol is starting on January 7th. That’s unusually early. Adam will be winging his way to the UK for QAL rehearsals/re-group at just about that time.

    mils … One of the rabbis killed was a native Kansan. The Hebrew Academy he attended is near where we live. Big news at our local stations.
    The Jewish Community Center in Overland Park is less than a mile from our house. Not long ago a supremacist attacked that JCC and killed 3 people.
    It turned out the 3 people killed were Christians. They were there at the wrong time. A grandpa who was a doctor took his grandson to the Center for an audition for a singing competition. They were shot at the parking lot. It was very sad news.

    What a world we live in.

    For a while I stopped praying and wishing. I used to think I was so corny. Every time I prayed, I prayed for:
    -World Peace and wished everybody loved each other, no fighting … But look what happens around the world and in my back yard.
    -No Natural disaster but then earthquake, tsunami, tornado, flood, storm, snow, typhoon and all happen every where killing and destroying lives.
    -No hunger and suffering from disease .. and look what broke out now … Ebola.

    Sorry!! If I bring bad and sad news here.
    I just need to talk to pull myself back from depression.
    I’ll look and search for good Adam’s news and the pretty, the sexy and the goodies.

    YAY!!! … for Chris Hemsworth! I like him. Grin

    Guys … a few days ago my e-mail account was hacked. A lot of people told me they had gotten weird e-mail ads like breastfeeding .. from me. If any of you got it, it wasn’t me. heh… My milk is already dried out … Duh!! Razz

    After trying many times I finally got my pass word changed.
    I was skeered to turn on my laptop for a while.

    Now all is good. I may need a new laptop for X-Mas.

    Had to take a class today after work. Bonus: Long drive home and listening to Nick Carter say Adam’s name about a thousand times on the radio, hear snippets of the interview, and songs from Rainbow and Forever on the radio. Hoping for a song with QAL to be played, but alas, no.

    Thanks everyone for your thoughts and concerns about Jerusalem. I have been in touch with rs, and she is OK, and I just saw her post here. Still trying to process the horror, and one of the victims has deep, deep ties to my city and community here. The reaction is impactful. Thanks asif, for your kind words.

    And, if you all can even believe it, I met a lovely young lady today, working in another hospital, from Sierra Leone. She has lost 6 relatives to Ebola in this past month. She survived many horrors there before she immigrated, and now, her family that remains there is being decimated by Ebola. She cannot go home to visit. She is stuck here to be safe and healthy. The sweetest most beautiful soul. And we hugged each other, because she was watching the news about Jerusalem, and didn’t understand why???

    So, after hugging, we had just met, this was an incredible karma like thing, we both felt better.

    I just wanted to share something positive after these events.

    Now, I’m gonna listen to Adam sing In The Lap of The Gods, and go to bed. Need that angelic soulful gorgeous voice to do its’ magic.

    Horrors. The world is full of horrors.
    All we can do is keep victims and those close to them in our hearts and prayers, and that is our obligation as well as our gift to them.
    I believe in a righteous and merciful God, but I also believe that He has given His creation the gift of free will to do both wretched and grace-filled things, and that those who point to the wretched as signs that God does not know or does not care are wrong.
    I am sorry for the theology post, but I think that a lot of us today are trying to make sense of the horrors, and I just wanted to express my belief. I will delete if anyone requests that I do so.

    I have been thinking that exact thing lately, Ulti. Sometimes it is uncanny how often you post something that I have had in my mind. Not sure why it bothers me, either, but I hope that he grows old gracefully with the people he loves by his side.

    I am waiting for the Bill Cosby sexual harassment/rape issue to be compared to Jian G in Canada. Surprised that it hasn’t been, there are so many similarities.

    Sistasif, I am sorry for your computer travails, it is hard to be unplugged! Glad that all is well, now.

    This has been a sober and melancholy post…how to end with something positive???
