   ( Politics and horror follow )

   The terror murders today in Jerusalem count among the dead a Rabbi who is the brother of my son’s Rabbi/Professor in New York,another one is the cousin of a prominent religious family and world-known scholar Rabbi, whose family is very helpful to my sons. The Twerski’s. That makes me and my family “connected” to two of the 5 victims.

   My boys spent the last two years in Jerusalem, studying and living where the terror happened today and last week. They are no longer there, but our hearts and souls are.

   My thoughts and prayers to our rs, for safety and peace.

   I’m sorry to bring politics here, to our lovely blog, but, so many of us have met and shared ideas in real life. I know that we care about each other.

   Now, I’d like to listen to some lovely music and relax my mind from the horror of today.

   I’ll delete this post if it bothers anyone.

   Interesting thread on mj’s. Blake Shelton says American Idol is not responsible for producing superstars. Lots of nice Adam mentions in the comments. Wanted to post about Brian May saying his voice is one in a billion, a gift from God, but didn’t want to hijack the thread in any way.

    rs Is still on her riverboat cruise in Europe, fortunately I guess. I believe she’s due home in a day or two. She might have seen the news though and be pretty upset. We’ve only had a couple of short emails over a week ago.

    Yeah I do cher. He is handsome, although a little bulkier than I prefer, and he seems like a really nice, grounded guy.

    I would LOVE to see Adam considered but I’m not sure he’s at that point yet in his career, although he should be.

    And there’s always someone sexier, except when they named Matthew McConaughey!

    I heard about the attack in the cab on the way to the airport in Zurich to fly​ home from a Rhine River Cruise. What a harsh way to come back to real life! The couple I was sharing the cab with had heard about it on CNN earlier. They kept apologizing for telling me when they saw my reaction, but of course I was glad that they did. It would have been worse to see it on the TV alone in the hotel room so far away from home (my travel partner had left an hour earlier). They had just been telling me about how they lost everything in Katrina but were thankful that they got out with their lives.

    The attack was terrible and I am sorry mils family is close to the victims. Now she knows even more what it is like here in our little country, there are never more that a few degrees of separation. They are saying that the attack was in revenge for the killing of a bus driver who actually hung HIMSELF the day before, and a Palestinian coroner verified that fact. The difference between them and us (or one of them) is that a number of years ago when a deranged Israeli entered a mosque and killed people there, the vast majority of the Israeli public was horrified, while last night there was dancing in the streets of Arab East Jerusalem and the attacker’s family were passing out candy. While on my Rhine River cruise I visited the empty lot in Heidelberg where the Old Synagogue used to be. There is a plaque describing how it was destroyed by the Nazis. Does nobody see the parallels with what is happening in the world today?

    I have to get on with my day now and go to the mall and into town (my camera died on me and my watch battery that had just been changed stopped working!) I will be extra vigilant.

    Nice to hear about the Diana Ross / Adam Lambert duet potential. Duets are all the trend now and Adam certainly has time to record it. Too bad about the Oscar party timing but Adam can probably get an invite to that any year he wants.

    He owns a horse ranch with his brother outside of San Angelo, TX. When my daughter and her family were stationed in San Angelo, there were sightings of Matthew shopping at the local Wal-Mart in the middle of the night. She used to be tempted to camp out in the parking lot. LOL

    I also had to look up CH, meh, not bad but not spectacular either. People lost all credibility with me when they chose the jerk Levine.
