Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

    asifclueless I hope you will be able to connect with another fan near you. I, too, haven’t connected with anyone close to me. So far jojosie is the only one I know. I keep looking, I know they are there. Off soon for a day of creative therapy. My quilt group is spending the day creating. On negative is they are not Adam fans. Although I have my hair dresser (her Mom is a member of my group) on board. One fan at a time, right?

    I was disappointed on Disco night, and that song was never one of my favorites, so I didn’t really appreciate it as much as I should have at the time. But I purchased Adam’s Idol Performance album, and found that the studio version is one of my favorites. I had to stop and think about what song was that, I didn’t remember him singing it on the show. Now whenever I hear it on the oldies station, I wish they had Adam’s version. Of course, I feel that way about a lot of the songs he sang from the show.

    It’s funny….. I often hear songs on the radio that Adam covered at one time or another. For example, I frequently hear Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, and of course my mind immediately goes to Adam. I honestly feel that Adam’s version is better than the original. This tends to be true throughout.

    Just watched that “gay marriage with the stars” clip…some of those peeps were so wierded out and totally uncomfortable with the question. Surprising and a little sad that several went out of their way to insist that they were married/had NO lesbian tendencies etc. etc. before even taking a stab at an answer, and some wouldn’t even answer.
    To the interviewees: It was a fun question, guys, it ain’t that deep and you could have just responded in a more or less honest way.

    We are clearly not post-gay yet. Frown

    More rumors…. Perhaps some of you who are on Twitter can validate.
    I’m hearing that Adam just recently began following Simon Cowell on Twitter. The big rumor is that maybe Adam has been approached for X Factor. LOL…. Love Twitter rumors. It may just be a coincidence and have nothing at all to do with X Factor.

    I’d forgotten that the lady I bought my DVD of Adam’s Idol performances from also sent me a CD of his performances. I had it in my car today and I also forgot that she included the group numbers. So Adam would be singing away and suddenly I’d hear someone else. It took me a while to figure it out but the group numbers were fun too. Season eight was great and of course gave us Adam.

    In an interview at the EMA’s Adam was asked about X Factor and he said he’d love to be on it and with new music coming out it would be great, he also said he likes Simon and Simon was very good to him on Idol. I have no doubt that Adam is following Simon.

    Hi everyone. I just wanted to stop in and say a huge “Thank You” to everyone who commented about my mom. She is still in ICU. It does not look good at all. We are very distraught and heartbroken, as we have been told that–barring a miracle–she probably has a couple of days with us. She is tenacious, but she is also very sick, very tired, and very frail. Who knows, though, miracles are possible.

    I will probably be off here for a while, but I wanted to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart. I’m afraid to start naming individual names because I may miss someone (in my state of mind). You guys mean a whole lot to me and I treasure each of you.

    I’m gone back to the hospital now for our 8 p.m. visit. Good night everyone.

    ETA: We have assured Mom that if she wants to go join Daddy, we will be okay with her leaving us and that we will be okay and look forward to seeing her again someday. Sometimes folks hang on because they are afraid the family needs them here. So we just wanted to ease that burden for her. We think and hope that she understood us.

    I spent part of last night looking at old Adam interviews including the ones posted by nkd. They made me happy but also made me a bit sad. I realized how much I miss seeing Adam on an almost daily basis. His time in England/Scotland/ and the Netherlands doing his promo was so much fun and so wonderful for all of us. I can only wish for half as much enjoyment the next time around.

    Enjoy “Breaking Dawn”, glamberthaf28! That was the only book of the series that I never read. My students (and daughter) tell me that it happens to be the best one. Maybe one day…… I’ve been too busy online obsessing over one incredible human being from Planet Fierce! Wink

    I have been such a bad fan-mate (hangs head in shame).

    Ron & jojosie – I just went to the fan site and answered your friend request.

    In Oct 2010 my Mom suffered her stroke. From then til July, 2011 when she passed we traveled a lot to be with her. When we finally stopped juggling all those trips we had to catch up with our business. (took some time to see the grandkids – much needed therapy!)
    We have rental property and since the middle of September we have painted and repaired 8 units with 2 more to go after Thanksgiving. We leave tomorrow to spend the holiday with the kids and grandkids.

    When I finally got back home in August I decided that I would at least try to keep up with this site. Some days that’s a challenge (hard to read thru the paint speckles on my glasses LOL).

    But once we return it will slow down so much that I will have plenty of time on my hands. I looked on the fan site for the names that I could identify. If any of you wish to friend me I am rainbowgal4 just like this site. I promise to be a better fan-mate.
