Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

    Evening y’all, thanks for all of the expressions of support! This site is definitely a labor of love for me, but JOJOSIE is right, there is some expense involved – not a great deal of expense so far but it will likely be increasing in the future. I’m going to need to look into upgrading the hosting for this site to a more robust (i.e. more expensive) package fairly soon, as I’m starting to see signs of strain in our WordPress database and in some other areas. The comment outage in the November thread last night was due to a WordPress resource limitation being exceeded. I was able to adjust a file to increase the limit, but eventually as the site continues to grow we will run into hard limits that can’t be bypassed so easily.

    This site will never have any advertising, as I’m concerned that since we use Adam’s name in the site name, even though we also state “unofficial” in the site byline and have a legal disclaimer, that any advertising could be seen as trying to make money by use of Adam’s name.

    I have been hesitant to ask folks for donations, but I think it will be a good idea for me to set up a paypal account in the next month or so to accept small contributions. These will all go toward site expenses – I don’t intend to ever make any money from this site for reasons stated above.

    In addition to the monetary donations, I will be needing an additional site administrator and at least a couple of thread moderators by the time the next tour starts up in 2012. I’m hopeful that a few of the more computer savvy folks among us might be interested in helping out. It’s not been a problem for me to keep up with things during this hiatus period, but I definitely won’t be able to run all of the threads when we are having multiple concerts every week.

    Gotta take care of a few other things now – updated list of Top 16 nominees will be posted in a couple of hours.

    Oh, I meant to tell y’all something (almost forgot)….
    I was in the waiting room of my dentist’s office this afternoon and browsing through the November issue of US Weekly. On page 26 (notice I remember the page – lol) there is a nice photo of Adam with Katy at the EMA show. It is featured on a page entitled HOT PICS. I stared at that for a long while until I was called in. Did I mention how much I enjoy going to the dentist?!?! Rolls Eyes

    eywflyer, let me tell you what just happened to me on MJ’s. I have been having computer problems, and we had to re-boot our Mozilla. Hubby was virus cleaning. When I tried to log in to Mj’s and post, my avatar was gone, and my name was changed to my husband’s. I e-mailed MJ, she instructed me to log in only with Word Press. And she gave me a link. Very nice and prompt of her.

    I would worry that if you were to change away from Word Press that we would all lose not only our avatars, but our names. We wouldn’t know who any of us were anymore!!

    PS, my paypal would help you out too.

    I’m having all these odd thoughts after last week’s performance. We are all so zoned in on him. But wonder who else even knows about this amazing performance. I wonder about the Australian DJ with the hour long Adam intensives? I wonder about Jonathon Ross? And that hilarious show where Adam was laughing non-stop, with so many quotable lines..”if you haven’t got a surprise under that skirt nothings happening, I get pretty high, that’s so dirty…” What was that host’s name? I just loved that one..

    Mils, I definitely plan to keep the site on WordPress! There are ways to increase performance and database size etc with more robust hosting packages. I also plan to keep the site on this familiar “theme”, which is the same one used by MJ, at least before the recent changes there.

    No fear of losing usernames or avatars around here!

    ulty And on that new “nickname” I will say good night. Tomorrow is a new day to cherish and I’m off for my favorite nail polish. Its “devine swine” – the Muppet brand. Over Thanksgiving weekend my daughter, my partner and my three grandson are going to the 3D Muppet movie. Each of us is wearing a different color of polish picked out by the boys. It should be fun!

    mils, “that Australian dj with the hour long Adam intensives”, if you are thinking of The Adam Lambert Hour, is Liam McEwan, and he is from New Zealand. He certainly knows about the EMAs. The day of the show he broadcast a few hours before the performance and he talked about it, and this week he began and ended his show with it. He was so excited! It is a great show and worth listening to every week. Here is the link:

    HKfan, I believe they can. Just try it.
    I think that if you send money outside your country PayPal charges you something for the transaction.

    PayPal is recognized worldwide. There are no additional fees charged when making online purchases. There is however a small charge added when making a private transaction to send money to an individuals bank account.

    OT: For those who use Firefox, I found a great Add-On called Thumbnail Zoom Pro.

    Hover your mouse over someone’s tiny avatar or photos on Twitter or Facebook, and a separate window appears showing the the photo at its full size. Adam’s avatar on Twitter is very large! Doesn’t work on all sites but, in addition to Twitter and Facebook, it’s compatible with TwitPic, Flickr, Photo Bucket, Google Images, YouTube, and Amazon among many others.

    It’s nice to be able to see someones avatar in its original size, especially the ones on Twitter, when I can’t begin to make out what it is.

    I can’t see peeps avatars or emoticons or Edit here when I use Firefox because of a mistake I made during registration. I can see and do all of the above on IE. But, I don’t think Thumbnail Zoom Plus works on this site. Frown It does come in handy though on many other sites.
