Aw, Mils, I like Russell. I don’t think I’d ever want to be married to him, but I like his wit and humour. I used to love to listen to his radioshow (still listen to it via podcasts on ipod). I (think I) remember when he met Katy. He used to freely discuss his flings with women, but then he said: ‘No, I’m not talking about it, this one is special’ (paraphrased, except for the last bit).
Hi Everyone – Special day – it’s my oldest’s birthday! A day where I’m reminded of the years I’ve been lucky to inhabit this earth and reminder to take stock on how I want to live out my remaining years. It’s important to be positive, sensitive to what others may be experiencing, be loving, gentle and kind. I am so grateful to Adam for brining all of us like minded people together. OK I’m a few days late with this comment but seriously HK fan and rs, next time put a waterworks warning when you post a video like IJLY! I put it on my i-pod and went to do some errands and when I heard that song it brought me to tears (waterworks actually). I was hoping no one was looking at me at the red lights, I just couldn’t stop them. It was beautiful, definately one of my favs. I think it hit home because my husband works alot certain times of the year and so often I hear my daughter on the phone with him before bed and she always says the same thing–When are you coming home? and then he answers her and she is fighting her tears and says, I love you too. Guess I’m over emotional today, must move on.

Reading back, my sympathy goes out to Rainbowgal4 and Ceddies – so difficult to go through life, sometimes. This blog is a nice refuge once in a while.
I saw all the pondering about our need to watch TSMGO over and over, and here’s my theory:
Drawing from what that musician said about vibrato frequency, Adam’s frequency in that song (well, the whole performance) reached a cerebral G-spot, if you will, and was the perfectly matched stimulus, and the pleasure is so intense we just have to keep repeating it.
Have to confess, there are other songs of his that I repeat, sometimes for just the way his voice sounds on one word (i.e. when he sang Believe on AI, that last word “looooooove” or the studio version of ACIGC, the word “too” in the line “It’s been toooo hard livin’) – and I’m beginning to suspect the same vibration is there!! If it is that, I love your VIBE, BB!!!

asif, Thanks so much for finding that video. It was so great and showed the things the TV didn’t show, like when they came out in the beginning and when they hugged and took their bow at the end. You could really get a feel for the audience reaction and I loved when they chanted “We Want More” after the first song. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! And already downloaded it to my realplayer.

Luval…I think the rumor is that Queen will be doing something at the Olympics, as Roger stated in one of those radio interviews out yesterday. The assumption is that Adam might perform with them!
It looks as though Adam may be on his way back to New York within the next day or so…

Paula had to be his biggest cheerleader throughout the entire Idol competition. I feel she knew him better than any of the other judges. What was that one performance where she actually mouthed to him that “I think you are fabulous”? I feel that her love and support for Adam are the main reasons why I have so much respect for her to this day. I became an X Factor addict the minute I heard she was on board!

I’ve been around fan sites more than some and I have made small financial contributions at times as there is expense running a blog and I’m sure with one of this size. Next up this weekend is Beauty and The Beast..some art/culture for a change. I have a friend that makes me go to most of these concerts because she feels that life is short (true true) and that we have to experience as much in life in the time we have left here on earth. So we have attended concerts/shows that are way out of our comfort zone, but I can say been there ,done that I guess.
But it was traumatic for us. Truly.

Went to Jay-Z/Kanye concert last night. Let’s just say my friends and I felt every day of our ages and then some, so we’ll just call it a life experience. 2 and 1/2 hours of rap is kinda tough on us that appreciate really great singers. Kanye was pretty fashionable with a vest, a pleated skirt? leggings, shoes. Weird but different. Entertaining to a point. Did hear Heartless.

I am weighing in late cause I’ve been away for 2 days, but that video is FANTASTIC! Makes me so happy! Love the audience response!
At the end when he says “ladies and gentlemen, QUEEN!” I get the feeling that inside he’s thinking “ladies and gentlemen, can you believe it? One of my all-time idols and look at me now, I’m singing with them, having wondered if i’d ever make it only a couple of years ago, oh my god, QUEEN!”
Also, to put in my 2cents’ worth on TSMGO, I think it was one of Queen’s best songs. Freddie’s version is pretty fab too, but Adam and the band raised it to a new level.
ETA – I would love to know how they picked the three songs and if Adam had any say in the decision!

Calgary, I also hope that someday we get some behind the scenes EMA info. I’d love to know when the plans were made, how the songs were chosen, and why the short “Under Pressure” interlude. On the other hand, if Gaga was ever considered over Adam, I don’t want to know about it.
