Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

    riskylady, I can’t find the 2nd video on MTV’s site. The 1st video is labeled as the entire set but actually only includes TSMGO. The 2nd video embedded on AO doesn’t provide any embed code, so I can’t bring it here.

    If anyone can find the 2nd video on MTV’s site, please post the link and I’ll embed it above.

    Yes, I noticed the comments on the vibrato on the Queen site. Someone even said “vibratomania”.

    Ron, if you’re lurking, can you chime in here with your comments to me about the vibrato? If you want, of course. Made a whole lotta sense.

    Don’t get me wrong, the vibrato didn’t bother me, or detract from the performance in the least little bit IMO! I’m with ultimatethule, TSMGO was a stunning performance that left me emotionally shaken.

    I find it interesting how the reaction to that performance seems almost unanimous across the Adam fandom. Just about every single place I look, people feel that was one of Adam’s greatest performances ever.

    Of course, having such quality material to sing and being on stage with one of the best rock bands of all time doesn’t hurt either! Smile

    During that official MTV video, Adam, at about 1:32, looks to his left and makes a pumping motion with his left hand, looking directly at someone over on that side of the stage. And he touched his earpieces a number of times. Something was definitely not going right with the sound.
    But he plowed right through and was magnificent – what a pro.

    I noticed the supposed vibrato also, I just thought he did that on purpose, really something I never heard him do before. I wonder if he will ever speak of it. Maybe someone can ask him about it in one of his Twitter parties. You know he is honest about most everything. If he even realizes that he did it. Honestly, to me it just seemed part of the song. But what do I know.

    Oh – just remembered something I was thinking of earlier. Anytime the website is down (which fortunately has been rare so far), check my @glamfansinfo twitter feed. If I’m aware of the outage I’ll try to post site status updates there. I know there were a few among us were who awake last night and were concerned during the outage period. I’m certainly going to be more diligent about regularly downloading database backups to my PC, I found this morning that it had been a lot longer than it should have been since my last database download.

    I think when Adam sings “another hero” near the beginning, he is turned around pointing at Brian May. Did anyone else see that?

    I noticed that too. I thought maybe he really wasnt’t pointing at Brian May because noone else brought it up…

    hey guys I was watching Adam’s old Idol performances and I knew something looked familiar about Adam’s performance with Queen this past Sunday (and not that he performed with them on Idol too)

    Just subscribed to Rolling Stone. Never thought I would see THAT day. My family will be very amused…anything for Adam, I guess. But really I have gotten interested in so much new music because of him that this is the logical next step. He made me want to listen to music again. Truly. It’s been years since I bothered turning on a radio. Rolls Eyes

    I just came back from watching EMA on a big screen. Each time I watch Adam’s performance I see more and more details.
    I wonder what was going thru his mind when he saw people clapping the same way they did for Freddie during “We will rock you”?
    And then I watched ending credits of EMA and Adam’s silhouette is the last thing that you will see. F-king amazing.

    Kradam, I saw that foto with JessieJ somewhere. Adam tweeted her that he loved her purple hair and asked her to follow him. I checked, and she is.
    Don’t like her video either, but she has lots of songwriting cred, and her live performance was good – nice voice, I thought.

    It takes a minute or so for the site to load. Then click on VIDEO and a window opens, and another to the right with arrows. The next to the last clip is part 2. It also takes a while to load, and sometimes the video is jerky, but the audio is excellent! You can hear Adam much better, and some little twists to the songs.
    I don’t know if this will work for you, but it’s the only place where I have seen it.

    another fan vid with pretty good sound for TSMGO! Look at the videographer’s answer to one of the Glamberts in the second comment down. Sooooo coool. The audience was excited to see Adam. Love it!!! Smile

    OK after listening to the MP3 of TSMGO for the (100th) I mean 10th time, something kept nagging at me about his voice, and then it dawned on me. Remember when on Tour he sang the Bowie songs with that slight accent that sounded kinda English, it did sound a little like this, but just a little different like he is copying a sound or accent. He wasnt doing it in the last 2 songs, WWRY and WATC. Freddie never sang TSMGO live, and Adam put this twist on it for some reason. I need to quit letting stuff go swimming around in my head, no??

    Watching the EMAs again and thinking about Brian and Roger. How poignant, and thrilling, it must be for them to be playing
    their hits after all these years with the one other guy who can do justice to them.

    I’m going to vote on how obsessed I get over certain performances. I can tell you now that TSMGO, OoL, and WLL FS are most likely topping that list! Smile Those are three that I can’t stop!

    Kradamour, have you been swayed into liking any of the Queen songs yet? I love, and always loved their harmonies, so different from any other band.

    Thank you, nkd, for that truly wonderful photo. And, cher, I enjoyed that different perspective video very much – it was like being there. (I saw Adam did a little “stomp” on the runway in time to the beat that I hadn’t noticed before – loved it.)

    My sister complained about the vibrato (she always looks for something to complain about with Adam) and personally I thought TSMGO showed more of his opera training than anything. I just can’t get over how beautiful his voice is on that song. Perfection.

    Oh cher that fan vid is awesome! I’ve been lost in it for a while! Wow what a treat to have been there. It’s funny how she said in the comments that they all thought it was Bruno Mars until the lights came up and they saw Adam and went crazy!
    Just how, even without lights on him, do you mistake Adam for Bruno?

    Sheeet – all good singers have vibrato. Otherwise, the note is flat and lifeless. All this nitpicking is nuts, ellessay – Adam’s performance was stunning. Some of these DDD and youtube critics can go stick it where the sun don’ shine.

    Yeah, ultimathule, I can see that the hair could look similar and no one really knew Adam was there unless they caught a glimpse on the pink carpet, but Adam must be a foot taller than Bruno! Of course we all would have known the first notes he sang without seeing him! Smile

    Hi All,

    The critical too much vibrato police reminds me of my favourite scene from “AMADEUS”.

    When the jealous court composers couldn’t say anything bad about Mozart’s perfect work of an opera, they said, “Too many notes” LOL Grin

    And Boy!! Mozart was pissed. “Tell me which notes.” LOL Grin

    I also love this comment about the too much vibrato from one youtube video.

    You make yourself look foolish when you say “way too much vibrato”, there is not a male singer alive that would not give their left nut to be able to sing like Adam. He is the best male voice in the business today,…..have some respect. Vibrato is a gift that “too” many singers do not possess, many try to fake it, with Adam it’s natural.

    Love that fanvid Cher, also loved the stomp, stomp, punch at 2.16 that a poster mentioned, and he definitely seemed to hold himself in check at 2.25…also loved the silouhette picture.

    Would love to see WWFM at Berlin on the list, loved the vocals and the simplicity of the performance.
    Really love One studio recording, but I think someone has already mentioned that one.
    And definitely of course TSMGO and OOL.
    eywflyer, you have put a lot of thought into this, I think I might have to read your post a few more times to get what we have to do. seems a tad complicated for the technophobes among us.
    how about instead of a top 16 we have a top 24, then we can have one video a day till xmas,like an Adam advent calendar…

    A spiffy hello to everyone!

    I followed u all over here from mj’s eons ago, but haven’t felt the NEED to post… til now. the ema’s just got my addiction back in full swing! (should I be sad about that? It’s a definite relapse for me! Yippie! )

    Since the ema’s I’ve been online so much that my internet provider sent me a notice that I had exceeded my data package limit. Didn’t even know I had a limit, but downloading and watching those ema vids put me over the top….with Adam, too!

    nkd (nekkid, to me) I so loved that pic u posted. It’s my desktop wallpaper now….forever reminding me of the most EPIC performance. And also the love that Brian has for Adam. Best of the Best!

    Your avi’s lovely and bright and cheerful spiffysmile. I love Brigadoon too. I remember when my youngest daughter 1st heard it playing in the car, she asked who was singing, I said Adam, and she said but he doesn’t sing opera! I think she was quite impressed…

    WOW !!!
    I just finished reading back pages I had left off after EMA.
    My laptop and my internet couldn’t handle the HOTNESS of BB and it crashed. Ok..Ok.. I abused it a little bit.. I kept watching the Queen performance a thousand times and had youtube pages on too many. My laptop couldn’t take it anymore.

    Now back to not quite normal. I’m with Mozzilla Firefox now and I’m trying to get used to it.

    But before I forget.

    eywflyer,… Have I told you that I love you so much lately? Thanks for everything you’ve done to make this site a wonderful place to come to.

    I remember reading a post ages ago about a man trying to get his father to appreciate Adam. The father was an old opera guy who was hard to impress. Guess what? Adam’s Come to Me Bend to Me from Brigadoon seriously impressed him!

    I love how Adam does every genre so well. His early training def paid off. Smile

    I am on the road on my way to DC trying to type on my laptop. LOL

    My daughter when growing up had a favorite number, it was on all her sports jerseys and always her number when she had to pick one.
    It is 11
    She grew up, joined the Air Force and met and married a wonderful guy who’s birthday is 11-11.
    She is now in the hospital having our grandson on 11-11-11 KARMA

    You should def listen to I just Love you, its a beautiful song. Adam recorded it for the ice skater Nick Laroche who I think was a friend of his to skate to. There is a vid on youtube somewhere of him skating to it.
    And I think I finally managed to get the ema medley onto my Itunes after many unsuccessful attempts. Was even going to pay my son to try and do it for me….next stop Ipod.
