Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

UPDATE: 11/7/11 11 PM – Photos and videos still coming in from last night’s epic performance of Queen with Adam on lead vocals at the EMAs!

Nkd… Looks like expensive truffles to me.

  2. nkd says:

Thanks luval! I wouldn’t know what those look like! Grin

  3. nkd says:

Double post! Am I the only one that has trouble with this? Maybe it’s my mouse.

OOOOH Rolling Stone interview…ready to sprint to bookstore to purchase…oh, wait, we don’t know when! Frown

Album release in March…yup, green. Check. No change there?

Single in January. Still thinking it could/should be his birthday. Two and a half months. Well, as someone said upthread, that gives us the chance to actually pay attention to the holidays instead of, um, obsessing over sales numbers, obsessing over TV appearances, obsessing over the many things that we obsess over carefully analyze…

Ron, my take on it was that Neil threw out the number for the single in a cryptic tweet, and was called on it so he tweeted that it was just a movie opening, as a cover for the tweet he shouldn’t have tweeted. But I’m probably wrong.

I think you’re definitely right, Kradamour and thank you for clarifying what was most likely the intention of Neil’s original tweet.

I was a little confused because I’ve read many accounts of people who’ve met Neil and the opinions about him run the gamut. I’ve heard that he’s “nice”, “courteous”, “joking” to flat-out “rude” and “nasty”. But, I’ve never heard anyone refer to him as cruel and I’m sure he’s not! How could he be with parents like Leila and Eber?

I now understand that, yes, Neil was “teasing” Adam’s fans but it came from a good place and he meant well. Thanks again Kradamour for clearing this up for me.

BTW, did you ever tell us which movie you and your family went to see on Sunday? Did they have to tie you up to get you to go with them? Grin At any rate, I hope you enjoyed it. Smile

I don’t think concentrating on Christmas will stop me of my obession!! Much as I might try.

Found this on a Queen fan site – Would this fit with Neil’s comment about Wednesday?

A unique group of musicians–and Queen fans–will come together to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Freddie Mercury’s passing with The Show Must Go On — a live performance of the music of Queen — on November 9th at The Roxy Theatre. All proceeds from the concert and memorabilia auction will be donated to AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), to help combat the disease that took Freddie from this world.

  7. Kradamour says:

Rainbowgal, that totally sounds like something Adam would embrace. Lucky UK Adam fans! Smile

Ron, it was Puss in Boots. Fairly amusing BUT I JUST WANTED TO BE HERE FOR THE QUEEN PERFORMANCE!!!!!
As it happened, the heavens smiled and I was able to leave the birthday brunch and come back to the computer literally minutes before the streamed performance and I DID see it!!!! but then had to be dragged away almost immediately to the cinema… Frown with barely time to flail!

I think your take on Neil’s personality is correct, also. We saw him at his unpleasant worst in Paris, I think, but there was no cruelty, just snark and exasperation and general unpleasantness. (And then of course he deleted the photos of the M&G but I think I have let that go and moved on.)

  8. Oksana2000 says:

Speaking of, could anyone make out what was in the box beside the champagne bottle in that pic from Sauli’s blog?

Strawberries dipped in chocolate. What else?
Don’t we all wish that our better halves would be as romantic?
..If I had you…tra la la la… Grin

  9. PlanetFierce says:

The suspense is killing! Do you think Adam likes lengthy foreplay?

Is there any other kind? Smile And those are chocolate truffles sitting in pretty little foil candy cups!!!! Classy!!!!!!!

Did I miss this…JOJOSIE posted last night that on twitter people said they actually performed Under Pressure. Is this true? I thought the show was live.

  14. nkd says:

luval, I don’t know for sure, but I saw a fan vid yesterday but can’t find it now because they are all being taken down. However, in that vid it was just like the broadcast, the beginning notes of UP and then into WWRY.

  15. luval says:

Thanks, nkd…I knew we would have heard something more on this. Any idea if Adam had his blue suede shoes made or purchased them somewhere?

  16. luval says:

With the mess right now makes me appreciate Ste Agathe so much more.
Another question…so he can’t perform any of his own music right now? Where did I read this?

  17. loveroftalent says:

Amazing amount of comments for it being so early in November.

  18. Ceddies says:

I went to Ask.com to see if I could find anything about Adam singing Under Pressure at the EMA’s. There is discussion in several places that Adam and Lady Gaga sang Under Pressure and that MTV cut it. There does seem to be an abrupt cutout of some kind at the end of the Under Pressure intro. No one seems to have it on video; but the consensus seems to be that if it happened, some fan will have it and will post it. So, I guess we’ll see. If a fan does have it, I don’t know why it wouldn’t have been posted by now–even if it later would have been taken down by MTV.

Closeup of the blue suede shoes. I loved them from the first moment. (Sorry if this has been posted or if it gets scrambled after I post it).

When I heard the beginning of UP and it stopped so soon I thought it was cut out because the show was running long.

  21. nkd says:

Here’s the shoes, only not in blue.

    Rather inexpensive for BB’s taste!

  22. Calgary says:

nkd you are amazing! But then I figured someone on here would find out about those shoe before long!

  23. dcglam says:

Another interesting article….. Note the following opening sentence:

“The Show Must Go On”, “Under Pressure“, “We Will Rock You” and “We are The Champions” were the gems chosen to close the MTV VMA Europe 2011 Live from Belfast.

    Here is the entire article…..

  24. ultimathule says:

Well, if Gaga was involved with UP, good move. She can sing, but doesn’t strike me as a generous performer. It’s all about her – would’ve destroyed the vibe.

  25. nkd says:

MTV has the video up for WWRY and WATC
On the side where it say 2011 Belfast Show 1-83, scroll to 81
    http://tv.mtvema.com/video/2011-belfast

Hopefully we can get an audio rip of this. I’ve got no clue how to get it!

  26. luval says:

nkd…I scrolled to 81 and didn’t see anything different than the usual video. What am I supposed to see or hear?

  27. nkd says:

luval…the better quality vid of the performance just put up pt 2. We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions.

  28. nkd says:

luval…did you get the really great audio mp3 of TSMGO that I posted last night?

  29. luval says:

Oh, thanks. I thought I was supposed to hear Under Pressure! Nah, doesn’t exit, never happened.

  30. dcglam says:

I thought I was supposed to hear Under Pressure! Nah, doesn’t exit, never happened.

It seems that it was part of the original plan. Don’t know what happened after that… Maybe Bowie couldn’t make it at the last minute. Wink
But hey, Adam could have blown that song totally out of the ballpark!

  31. luval says:

nkd, I did download the mp3 but I’m such a dork I can’t “find” it in my computer. I’ve looked under downloads, music, everything. I’m giving up. I really want it on my ipod.

  32. Calgary says:

It’s surprising that there’s no twitter conversation about it. You’d think someone would have asked Adam.

  33. adamized says:

Hi Peeps. It appears that the youtubes captured by the audience do not show anything other than the first couple bars of Under Pressure…so no different from what we experienced. Odd…

I’m getting excited about Majors and Minors on Sunday night. Finally a station I get. Will be fun seeing BB on my “big” screen.

When I downloaded the mp3 it showed up titled “Replay Musice 2011 The Show Must Go On”. Hope that helps you out.

  35. Ellessay says:

My compromise so we can get new music:

    1. Bastard albums must be marketed exactly as what they are–unfinished session work on one, Citizen Vein on the other, both pre-idol early Adam.

    2. Adam can talk about them during the promo of his new album. He can tell people that the session work was not his choice/style. He can explain that he is proud of the work they did as Citizen Vein, but it was a different place and time and doesn’t represent his current creative vision. I don’t think he gets anything for the session work, but he should get money for the songs he helped write on the CV album.

    3. The bastard albums can piggyback on the success of Adam’s new album, but cannot misrepresent what they are. Adam fans would be interested in quality CV recordings, and don’t need to be tricked into buying.

    4. The quicker they release that darn single, the quicker everyone concerned can make money and the world will be a better place for having a new Adam song.

  36. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Well, I’m glad Gaga didn’t share the stage for UP – that medley was all about Queen and Adam. Smile

nkd, I can’t believe you found those shoes – you’d make a great detective!

  37. nkd says:

dcglam, thanks for posting that link. I love reading these positive articles on the performance.

RE: the MTV vid, notice Adam in WWRY at :38-:40. Adam will be Adam!
And I love near the beginning of We are the Champions, 2:12, where he sings “I’ve made a few” and he carries the note up on ‘few’. A little thing but I love that! Smile

  38. luval says:

    Thanks, nkd…I’ll keep looking!

  39. nkd says:

The Show Must Go On 3:05 Adam Lambert with Queen MTV Replay Music 2011-11-07 Pop

This is how it showed up in my itunes. I kept looking for it too, and there it was all along. Replay Music was listed as the Album name.

Unbelievable! The scumbag is trying to capitalize on Adam’s success at the EMAs by releasing BFM to radio stations for download!! An Iowa DJ just tweeted that radio stations had Adam’s new single and the fans went ballistic until we found out that it was BFM and then the DJ was inundated with tweets saying nooooo, that Adam doesn’t approve it and that we don’t want that one! Frown

  41. eywflyer says:

Yep BFM has been sent to radio – see tweets from @iowaradioguy. I feel sorry for the guy – he had no idea he was stirring a hornets nest. What else can happen today?

  42. dcglam says:

This whole thing is making me more ill by the minute.
My biggest fear is that by the time Adam’s “real” single comes out, these DJs will have probably had it with his fans. Here we go again begging for radio play.
I SO hope I am wrong in this case.

  43. JOJOSIE says:

TALCvids posted on twitter,a link yesterday, that a fan posted on U-Tube. It contains what they say is the last part of Under Pressure. I’m not familiar with the song so I’m not sure.

  44. nkd says:

Here’s a fan vid. Watch it quick if you want, Viacom is pulling them pretty quick.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAOBfiSPRCA&list=PLDB19C5E7ADE73AFB&index=1&feature=plpp_video

Just the beginning notes of UP. Watch Adam, he’s in the same place when WWRY starts.

  45. luval says:

nkd…that was great. This is Adam’s Wembley performance (for now).

  46. nkd says:

@MTVBuzzworthy lol I look crazy-had just finished w Queen and I was a sweaty mess in that hot press tent. Wool stage wear ain’t practical.

  47. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Hmmmm, wonder if the scumbag knows the meaning of BSC? But honestly, this mess is starting to give me a tummy ache. Frown I’m ready for it to be settled and to go away!

  48. dcglam says:

IKR, Texas….. And I highly doubt this whole thing will stop in Iowa. Frown
It is probably just a matter of time before other areas are affected as well.

I hope y’all don’t mind that I managed to find a tiny bit of humor in this whole thing. Thanks for sharing this tweet, Ron. Wink
