Another month has arrived, and we are all anxiously awaiting the lead single from Adam’s upcoming new album. Will the new single be released this month? Will Adam perform at the American Music Awards once again? I think that Adam’s recent appearance on the cover of The Advocate signals that things are about to start happening again.

Hopefully our long wait is almost over. Enjoy the chat!

UPDATE: 11/7/11 11 PM – Photos and videos still coming in from last night’s epic performance of Queen with Adam on lead vocals at the EMAs!

Why do they remove the videos like that.

  2. Oksana2000 says:

Can somebody explain to me why is MTV taking Adam vids down??

  3. eywflyer says:

Thanks for the video links ya’ll, I’ve updated and reorganized the top of the post a bit. Hopefully these vids, or at least the one from the official Queen site and the one with audio and still pics, will stay online for a while.

If anyone has more links for photo sets, please post them and I’ll add them up top. Decided to change the featured photo again too after looking through more of the great adam-pictures set.

Speaking of concentrating on the vocals with the audio/still youtube file, I was thinking last night – if I had been handed a set of headphones with no context at all, no idea that Adam was going to be performing, and no video feed just as The Show Must Go On started, I still would have known who was singing after hearing the first couple of notes. Adam’s power tenor is so unmistakably unique. He really does have the ability to touch your soul with his voice.

  4. milwlovesadam oh yes i have that feeling too. don’t want to lose the intimacy, but want him to keep moving forward. As long as I get to see him in concert again, I’ll be happy as can be with that Smile nothing can compare to Adam Lambert Live!!!

  5. Kradamour says:

Y’know, mils, I think Adam will try to continue to find ways to connect with his fans up close and personal. That seems to be very important to him. And it might be even more important when he begins to play bigger venues where he can’t send out the eyebeams and connect with audience members individually.

  6. eywflyer says:

Oksana, the taking down of vids is not unusual after these major awards shows, and I wouldn’t necessarily interpret this as targeting Adam. The video I had linked earlier now says removed due a copyright claim from Viacom. That is the parent company of MTV, and naturally they want people to watch the reruns of the EMAs on their networks later this week. So they take vids down to remove other options to view the show. It does tend to be rather random, so some vids will stay up while others get removed.

I found this with Idol shows as well – when I was looking for vids of Adam’s performances I would find that some had been removed and others not. Happened with IIHY concert vids too when that was Adam’s current single.

  7. Kradamour says:

Can somebody explain to me why is MTV taking Adam vids down??

In a word, Oksana, no. No one can explain it. It makes no sense. They just do it. Frown

  8. luval hey i was reading some of the older posts that i missed when i first joined here. and i read that you were the one that had taken my pic at the Ste. Agathe concert…do you have a link to it or could you send me it. I completely forgot to take any pics of myself at the concert! haha

  9. all day today as i was working i was singing We Will Rock You, The Show Must Go On, and We Are the Champions!! Thanks Adam!!! Can’t believe that we all got to witness that amazing performance!!! And I’m still flailing over the picture of Adam and WWE Superstar Sheamus!!! My two worlds collided LOL Smile

  10. Kradamour says:

I have a pic of you, glamberthaf28. Are you on the fansite? Message me over there and I will send it to you. Might have a couple.

These are from the set eywflyer posted at the top, just in case there is anyone who didn’t cycle through all 64 of them. Rolls Eyes

  11. milwlovesadam says:

    kradamour, you are right. Smile

I don’t know why I went to a negative place on this awesome day.

Maybe it’s what I refer to as “post event let down.” You know the day after feeling. Like the day after the vacation is over, or the day after a wedding, or something you’ve been anticipating.

I just hope and pray that we can all meet him next time around, for the first time, like some of us are waiting for, or for a repeat 1:1 like some of us have been fortunate to have had.

I looked at my own pics this morning, after I watched the performance whilst getting ready for work, a time or two, with the volume up to 11 thanks to my empty house, and I was amazed that I had met this creature. It almost doesn’t seem real.

And, now, after that unbelievable performance last night, I am simply awed by his talent. His charisma. His stage presence. Yet again.

Did anyone else notice how the audience was clapping hands over heads in unison just like in Queen’s Radio Gaga from Live Aid? It was positively surreal to me.

  12. eywflyer says:

Great pics Kradamour! I have a more zoomed out picture featured for now because I wanted one that included both Brian May and Roger Taylor along with Adam, in keeping with Adam’s wish to honor Queen.

  13. milwlovesadam says:

Oh My Good Lawd!! Kradamour, that first pic!!!! UNF UNF UNF

  14. rainbowgal4 says:

mils – I agree. It took my breath away. That picture says more than a 1,000 words! It has been such a once in a life time treat to watch him grow, get more confidence and be soooo happy.

  15. Thanks Kradamour I’ll go there now and message you!

  16. milwlovesadam says:

Hey, go to the MTV site, they have Show Must Go On, incredible HQ audio.

    Can’t copy it. Sorry.

  17. nkd says:

Here’s an audio mp3 of TSMGO from the MTV site. It downloaded automatically for me. I can only play in media player on my pc. If anyone can figure out to get it to work in itunes, I’d be grateful. The quality is incredible!
    http://bit.ly/sjuJiA

  18. nkd if you go to the folder where the song was downloaded and you right click on the song, go to open with and choose Itunes and it should automatically go into your music library Smile It did for me and it even went on to my ipod Smile hope it works for ya

  19. nkd says:

Thank you Heddy! I’ll go try that. I’ve been listening to it in a loop for about an hour and a half. Smile

  20. rainbowgal4 says:

nkd I’m on a Apple and it went right to my Itunes. Amazing quality. His voice is haunting, so much emotion.

  21. nkd says:

It doesn’t give me itunes as an option. I’ve grabbed and moved it into itunes but it won’t play it. Frown

  22. nkd says:

I have a Dell, so pc. I also tried downloading it on my iphone directly but I have no save option. It plays in Quicktime.

Yay! Success! I now have 4 of them in itunes! I’m such a dufus!

  23. rainbowgal4 says:

nkd you can never have too many copies of music from Adam. LOL

  24. nkd yay!! glad it worked out for you. and thanks for giving us all the link. his vocals are so amazing and just sends shivers down my spine!!

  25. nkd says:

Hopefully MTV will put the other songs up and the magicians can get us some high quality mp3s of them too!

I still can’t believe this performance happened! It was the most amazing thing. I certainly didn’t think that Adam would get the entire set. Queen with a special guest, it surely must be someone else, right? WOW, just wow! Grin

Update on first single: due to some unforeseen logistics, legal annoyances and creative details, the first single is delayed again…

    adamlambert Adam Lambert
I want to apologize for claiming November as the release month. I spoke too soon. I had a great meeting in London yesterday and continue…

  28. nkd says:

Cont… To take the time to ensure the song is its BEST and that the whole album and campaign is a unified artistic extension of my spirit.

  29. turquoisewaters says:

Like nkd, I too thought he would have to share with Gaga and maybe a couple more. This was all I dreamed of and more.
It was so fun to get up and rewatch in the morning without knots in my stomach before work, and then again when I got back home. Just can’t get enough of it. What a glorious night it was!
It seems like so many things are coming together for Adam now. Yes, mils, we might have to share our boy with more people, but it’s all good. Those eyebeams are seared into your retina forever anyway, ain’t nobody going to take that memory away from you.
Now I am just so stoked for the album.

  30. nkd says:

Thank you so much for your patience. I PROMISE I won’t let you down & that this upcoming project will take you on a wild ride! I love u all

  31. turquoisewaters says:

I guess it’s back to waiting.
The little Queen interlude was certainly worth a delay, fine-tuning songs is worth a delay, but the stupid legal annoyances… Really hope he can get that behind him quickly.
I am liking the wild ride part Smile

  32. nkd says:

Let’s go on a wild ride! Grin

  33. nkd says:

Maybe we can get something done for the holidays with this delay! Wink

  34. turquoisewaters says:

Maybe we can get something done for the holidays with this delay!

If we can stop pressing the replay button on that Adam/Queen video. I already warned my family to get ready to hear this A LOT in the car.

  35. eywflyer says:

I was afraid of this once the lawsuit was filed. Don’t expect a single before January at the earliest now. Could be longer than that depending on the legal situation. Now the PR push that got started recently with Advocate, Out and the EMAs will fade away before the single drops Frown

  36. turquoisewaters says:

eywflyer: I trust your judgment a lot, and right now I don’t like at all what I am hearing. No single before Christmas??
I am about ready to jump into this guy Welsford’s face.

Now the PR push that got started recently with Advocate, Out and the EMAs will fade away before the single drops

Agreed and that all important, to my way of thinking, momentum is once again derailed.

Prior to this announcement, I didn’t want to throw cold water on people’s anticipation of the significance of 11-11-11 referred to in Neil’s tweet. More than a few people thought it must be the release of the single.

Neil was teasing. It was a joke! The only thing special about November 11th is that Neil is going to go to the opening of a movie. Funny, isn’t it. Rolls Eyes

    Oh well …

  38. eywflyer says:

Turquoisewaters, I think a single before January is now unlikely. December is a tough time to release new singles in general due to airplay of holiday music, and the history of delays is not promising. I’m also now very worried that this lawsuit may in fact be a major problem.

It seems likely that the PR push we’ve seen recently for Adam was planned for a November single drop, and now that free media and exposure will not support the single due to the delay.

I’m sorry to be such a downer, especially after the thrill of Sunday night, but there is really no way to sugarcoat this. It’s not good.

  39. ultimathule says:

eywflyer – Do you think the legal issues involve Adam’s putting the songs on Facebook? If so, why would that affect his new album?

  40. Ron says:

Might as well wait until February when it will qualify for Grammy consideration.

  41. turquoisewaters says:

eywflyer: thanks for explaining. Bummer. I’ll have to wait and gain some perspective on this. I do think the EMA performance will last a while in people’s memory, though. And hopefully give journalists something new to talk about when the time comes.

  42. Ron says:

Adam is facing two lawsuits, isn’t he? The latest one cites that Adam was ineligible to appear on Idol because of his recording contract with Welsford.

  43. eywflyer says:

Ultimatethule, as I understand it, the scumbags are claiming that Adam is still bound by a contract of some sort with them. Given that, RCA may well be concerned that they would come after the proceeds from any new material that Adam releases, and therefore have told Adam that he can’t release anything until this legal matter is cleared up. Just speculation on my part, but given that Adam mentioned “legal annoyances” the lawsuit is clearly playing a role in this.

If Adam did in fact break the contract they had back when he posted those songs online, there could be a high price to be paid in order to settle this.

Ron, I believe that the ineligibility claim is just a throwin to garner publicity for the BFM lawsuit. That claim actually is irrelevant to their case as the issue would be between Adam and Idol. The scumbags just threw that tidbit in because they knew it would get headlines and give Adam bad PR.

Kradamour knows much more about legal matters than I do, hopefully she can explain this a bit more later. I know she had some posts on this subject a few days ago.

  44. ultimathule says:

He mentioned two other items – logistics and creative. And he used the word “annoyances” with regard to the legal matters – hoping they are annoyances and not something more difficult. Hard to know if the three problems are of equal weight. Damn.

  45. Ron says:

    Thanks for the explanation, eywflyer.

All of the hurdles he’s endured and the impediments that continue to slow his climb to success!

I have to go to bed. ‘Nite.

  46. eywflyer says:

Ultimatethule, I have a hard time believing that coordination would be so lacking within Adams management team that they would have setup this recent PR push without a very firm belief at the time that the single would drop in November. My belief is that this delay is mainly because of the lawsuit with the other issues being mentioned as padding to try to blunt the impact.

Of course, the other day I thought that Adam was not going to do a major performance Sunday night, so hopefully I’ll be wrong again!

  47. cwm says:

I feel bad for Adam. After the tremendous high of last night’s epic performance, now he is apologizing to us. (But did you notice how lovingly he did it? What a sweetie.) I have so much disgust for Welsford. As unpalatable as it may be for Adam to settle, he may decide to settle just so that this doesn’t drag on forever. Honestly, I hope his lawyers crush Welsford like the insect that he is.

But like ultimathule, I really hope that the legal “annoyances” are just that – annoyances. Perhaps the bigger issue is simply the logistics of coordinating the entire rollout (like a “campaign”!) and having all of the creative elements ready at once. As someone who is in the middle of coordinating a big project launch right now at work, I know too well the difficulty of having all of the moving parts ready at the same time.

Who knows, you might be right eywflyer, that it’s the lawsuit that’s the primary reason and the other stuff is just padding for the message.

In any case, it’s a shame he can’t fully capitalize on all of this great momentum right now.

  48. cher says:

Yeah. I’m bummed. Was so looking forward to the new single, but I thought the same thing eywflyer, that RCA and Adam would never release anything that the scumbag might profit from since he’s claiming Adam is still contractually obligated to his company. A pox on Welsford I say..and not chicken pox either!! Frown Anyway, still on a high from Sunday night. I could watch that vid forever!!! Smile

  49. eywflyer says:

Cher, I’m sooo bummed right now. Felt that the EMAs were a huge step forward for Adam and would be a great springboard toward a single release in the next few weeks, but now the EMAs will be long forgotten (outside of the core fan base) before the single drops, whenever that finally happens.

It seems to me that Adam and RCA will have no choice to settle this thing quickly and let BFM be released with whatever marketing is done by those jerks, just to get this obstacle cleared. Otherwise this could drag on for a very long time through the federal courts with Adams future career at risk.

I hope Adam is doing ok. If we as fans are bummed by this delay, imagine how he must feel. That combined with coming down from the high of the EMA performance. Adam mentioned in the Out interview that he had some depression issues coming off the GNT. Glad he will have Sauli there for him when he gets back to LA.

ETA: saw on twitter that BFM is back up for preorder on Amazon UK, just confirmed its up again on Amazon US too. War is raging in the comment forum. What a mess Frown

  50. luval says:

Geez just got to work and read all the unfortunate news about the single. Eywflyer you were correct in being concerned about a delay because of legal issues. But honestly in my area the Christmas music is on half of the radio stations. Some are totally holiday and some intersperse with regular music. I don’t think it would have worked anyway. I’m guess the October delay was knowing this legal stuff was coming down the pipe.

I’ll wait! Now as far as meet and greet us Paris peeps are still owed one! I’m guessing the price will go up. Didn’t someone say Bieber was $500.00? Don’t think Adam’s will be that but it will go up IMO.

Heady contact me on the fansite about the photos from Ste Agathe. I am “Lola” there.
