The musical force that is Adam is marching full speed ahead. With recent appearances on Drag Race, AI and Glee, he is making his way back into the limelight (not that he ever left it for us here). With a news conference set for Thursday, March 6th at Madison Square Garden, we are sure to find out details of a Queen + AL tour. So get ready to jump on the bus! Oh, and don’t forget that Adam is still appearing on Glee and working on his own music too!
With the special announcement coming it was suggested to use a Q+AL photo for this month’s header. But what about all the other great photos from last month? Oh, the dilemma! Well, I hope this photo is a compromise. Taken at the London show by Mark Gledhill (glemazon), it shows Adam in the shadows about to emerge into the full spotlight. Cross your whatsits so that this tour results in getting this multi-talented performer the respect and recognition that he merits.

! I’ve been googling flying times / prices to Toronto… I’m afraid even that is too far/much for me – especially if I need a business seat for laying down. I know many peeps travel around the world, but I am not a healthy one

LadyNorth have you checked Porter Air in downtown Toronto? I don’t know where you’re located, but their prices are most often the most reasonable and their flights frequent.

calgary, hi back. It’s not really a ticket buying chat thread. It’s been an email thread for years for everything since our MJs days and we do separate ones for different concerts and its grown over time. We vent anything and everything.
I am sad to say I didn’t go to work today and now I’m too tired to go in and show my face. 
We have a lot of fun and there’s always someone awake to talk to. I’ve only had one hour of sleep due to this ticket nonsense. Soooo stressful but then so exhilarating if/when you know you have a ticket and will be in the building!

I faced the same kind of ticket mess in WAG/Helsinki, downstairs of the arena sold out in 1 second. I decided to have a VIP ticket, but a week later tons of good seats appeared… Just try every day what it looks like there. Good luck, I am sure you will get a decent seat somehow

Thanks guys for all your supportive words! I now have: Three crappy VIP tix for Calgary that I’ll have to sell, and three half-decent ALF tix that my friends will probably be happy with, and NO tix for Vancouver. But I’ll keep looking. By the way – there are LOTS of GREAT tix left in Winnipeg!!!!!!
What are the crappy VIP tickets – where are they in the arena, Calgary?
Yay!!! I got 2 Houston Tickets!! They are pretty decent, not nosebleed! Section 112 right above floor 12th row. Not the greatest, but when I called the ticket office at the Toyota center and asked if the tickets were decent she told me they are almost center stage right above floor level. I have never been to the Toyota center, so I don’t know how good they are, but, when I tried for the most expensive seats that I could get they were not available and finally I just hit best available and 2 seats popped up and I grabbed them! I’m happy!!!! Can’t wait until July 9th!!
Ron, you got shut out too? Me too! I tried another computer, but I still couldn’t get on, so I thought it couldn’t be linked to IP-address.
If I don’t get anything before Friday, I’ll go to the ticket office of Rogers Arena on Friday. They’ll have an overview of all the seats, and even if it’s possible seats will be tied up by other people looking at them, I at least won’t have to keep ‘searching again’.

listening to the highs and lows of this ticket buying. I’m on the low end, hopefully, only for now. Like Ron, I got kicked out of Ticketmaster after about an hour..it happened shortly after I gave up on Toronto for a while to try for Chicago at the beginning of their initial time. Maybe I still had the 1st window open but kicked out I was. About 20 mins later, the Duke also lost his access. Hoping this is just until tomorrow. I went to my Community Center for a while to use their computers but at 4pm-6pm there was very little coming our way. Hopefully better tomorrow.
So Calgary as they say ‘I feel you pain’! We have NOT PURCHASED one ticket yet!! Hope we’re going to be going.
I know some of you have offered extra tickets at cost or mentioned where I might get something and I do thank you so much but I really DO NOT want FLOOR tickets unless they’re close in…I’m too short (I know, fussy, fussy) and I did turn down 2 ultimate VIP pkgs that were $395/each! Times 2 that’s $800 for just one show. (Can’t even remember for which city) Trying to do better!!!!

And the angst continues. Fraud alert called me due to the high volume on my card today! All is well!! They were just looking out for me.
My travel agent wanted to know why I was going to Toronto. I told her to see Queen. She kinda squeed over Queen, and said that she heard that Adam Lambert was fronting, and had heard that he did a “good job.” I said, well, why yes, I had heard that too. The nice part is that she’s truly 29 and just knows his name. Nice.

Okay….YAY!!!!! Was able to get 4 tickets for Mohegan Sun on 7/19. Had a cap on cost and since there were zero seats available on TM at the presale; and the other sites were off the charts, I went back to TM and picked up the VIP pkgs. I have 2 young adults and my sister going so they will appreciate the goodies. I booked my flight tonight and I am good to go. My son will take the train down from NY for the show….everyone is very excited!
It was nerve racking but could have been worse.

TLKC My Calgary tickets are Row 9 sec. 107, so Stage Right directly beside the band. It ticks me off that the seating plans give no indication of where the seats are. I wish we could do something to improve the abysmal way Ticketmonster treats us.
So. I just revisited the Vancouver ticketmaster. No need for any kind of pw to buy any tickets. So much for ‘fan pre-sale”. The only thing is, you might be able to buy a few crappy seats for a few dollars less with the pw.
At the MSG interview:
“Queen and Adam Lambert have done several other performances. Why was now the time to do a North American tour?”
Taylor:” We did a show last year for the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas. And it just reminded us of all how well we got on together. It seemed to go along very well. I guess it was a natural progression.”

Anyone looking for hotels close to the ACC in Toronto might like to check out Novotel and The Fairmont Royal York each within a 2 minute walk from the ACC. The Sheraton Centre is also very conveniently located in the centre of the city with easy access to major shopping, restaurants and about 15 min. walk to the ACC or a quick subway ride to Union Station which is connected directly with the ACC.
I hope this helps a bit.

Calgary, I was just on Adamtopia and a Vancouver Canucks season ticket holder said that season ticker holders get right of first refusal on any and all events at the venue. Apparently they have 24 hours to accept/reject and a lot of good tickets go back on the market. This is probably true of Calgary too. (Maybe even more true of Calgary.)
I would try again tomorrow.
