By the way I went over to read all the comments at mj’s and the comments appear to be closed now. I was especially interested in one that someone posted about the Fault cover being stylized after another cover/art from long ago but It is gone for now so I cant look it up.
What is so special and sacred to me, is that everyone here plays a huge part in this collective force of fandom. Everyone has different skills, and energy forces that contribute like a family. I love everyone, and wish I could meet you all sometime.
The laughter here, is such a joy!

Last night’s headline thread is the one I was reading that I assumed they were talking about. The comments appeared for me again then disappeared, maybe something is wonky about my computer.
glambotgram – that artist was J.C. Leyendecker – born in Germany – one of the greatest illustrators of the 20th century – did the iconic “Arrow Collar Man.” He and Norman Rockwell did tons of Saturday Evening Post covers and illustrations. Wikipedia has a lot on him – handsome man according to his photo.
Checked the comments at MJ’s – can’t get in either.

I think I was upset over VH1 because IIHY went to number 1 (or was it WWFM) the first week it was on the countdown. But things have changed. Who know how they do things now.
A twitter account is so “nothing”. Mine just sits there. Only use it for voting or seeing what Adam’s up to. But he tweets few and far between and other peeps bring them over here anyway. I don’t know how twitter stays in business with people like me on it.

BTIKM remains at #29 on Hot AC, is #41 on AC, and has not charted on the Top 40 chart. I haven’t seen any hard sales/download numbers in several weeks, just Itunes rankings. I suspect that sales are still lagging behind the WWFM pace to this point.
As for the VH1 video countdown, some Internet searching shows that WWFM debuted at #11 on 1/23/2010, then moved up 10 spots to #1 the following week. IIHY debuted at #20 on 6/19/2010, moved up 10 spots to #10 on 6/26/2010, then leaped to #1 on 7/3/2010.
So the #17 debut for BTIKM is in between WWFM and IIHY as it turns out. The key is next week’s move, both WWFM and IIHY moved up 10 spots in their second week on the countdown.

I think that including BTIKM in VH1 countdown really helped this single. Everything went up on iTunes,
eywflyer, since we don’t know the algorythm for placing video on VH1 countdown,we can’t predict much. The only thing I notice, that each time I went to vote for Adam I saw tweet from someone who voted for him as well. So we can’t blame position 17 on the lack of voting from fans…

Oksana, updated my previous post with some more info from WWFM and IIHY. I didn’t remember that IIHY debuted way down at #20, then jumped 10 spots the next week. I do want to see BTIKM make a nice upward move next week – if it remains in the mid teens or lower I would be concerned.
In any case, today was Adam’s first appearance on the VH1 countdown since 9/11/2010, when IIHY was at #17 in its final week.
Checked Disqus and, yes, they say they’re undergoing maintenance so will be minor problems for a bit.

luval – I read that that is an UhHuhHer song that has simply been slowed down and passed off as Adam (this has happened before). That is definitely not Adam’s voice – doesn’t sound like him at all to me.

I thought that dog was an older dog…with the grey on the snout. People kept calling it a puppy.
I have to say I enjoy MJ’s Blog and find it amusing, especially when one of those petty fan wars break out because it seems that you can pretty much predict what everyone is going to say before they say it. As for Kirstin, she’s a big Kris Allen fan and I understand her love and loyalty to the man. I know it bothers her when good things happen to Adam and she tries to rain on his parade. But she can’t stop destiny and Adam Lambert is destined for big things. As for Kris, I think again he’s going to be overshadowed by Adam. Unless he makes a album that sells well, he’s going to be know as the guy who won Season 8 of American Idol, because the public didn’t want a gay to win.

I couldn’t find anything by them called The Last Ones, and only one other song by a Matthew West, about children affected by toxic drugs, and a video about cars/skateboarders with wierd sounds. So…..it’s a big question mark. Kelly had soooo many leaks about her album, can it be we finally got a TRUE leak about Trespassing?
It’s getting very close, if April 16 is true release date in the UK, and Adam said in Denver that it’s almost done, just a few tiny tweaks!

cwm, do you mean “Dreamer” or the Japanese one? The “Dreamer” I posted is the original Uh Huh Her song, not the slowed-down one rumored to be Adam (but NOT him). The Japanese one, I agree, definitely not Adam’s voice to me, but would be lovely sung by him. Actually, BOTH songs would be lovely sung by him. Actually, ANY song….need I go on?
I think it may be a demo, just like “Underneath” was a demo, with a voice sounding somewhat like Adam. Well, we will know in a few weeks, but damn, the suspense is KILLING ME!
Re the Fault pics being photoshopped: Those idiots are seriously commenting on this???? Well, OF COURSE – it’s so obvious that this is an artistic stylization of Adam – the extra turquoise added to the eyes, the flawless whiteness of the skin – it’s MORE than photoshopping, it’s almost like a character in a graphic novel. It’s an artistic rendering.
BIG BIG DUH to the idiots on the other side of the tracks (I mean of course, the dumb, Idol bubble side).
If they had wanted it realistic, all they had to do was to print the actual photos, slightly retouched.

This statement reminded me of something that happened last week. We had an Adam moment when I took my friend Mary down to Jackson, MS, for followup from eye surgery. Some of you met her in Tunica with me, and some others of you met her in New Orleans at Oceana when we had our dinner before the concert. Anyway, they were supposed to charge her $50 for the exam and glasses prescription unless she had a particular insurance coverage which most folks don’t have. Anyway, we were chatting with the doctor, and Mary inquired about her previous doctor and mentioned that the doc who had been on rotation at Univ Med Center when she started her treatment had looked like Adam Lambert. The doctor asked who the other doc was and when we told him, he said “You’re right, he does look like Adam”. I said “You mean you know who Adam Lambert is?” He said yes and told us how much he liked him. Mary told him that we are super fans and about the trips that we’d made to see him. He was most impressed when Mary told him that I had driven to Canada. Mary told him that we both think the only reason Adam didn’t win is that he is openly gay but that it didn’t matter to us that he’s gay. He said he thought the same thing about Adam’s not winning.
End of story, he handed us the prescription for free—even though his nurse had assured us that Mary would have to pay for it. I had to wonder if he also knew of the depth of homophobia that Adam knows and appreciated our position and our fandom of a gay man. Little did he know that our love for Adam knows no boundaries. And there are tons of us out here who are not homophobic.
I remember Depeche Mode from the ’80’s. They were super popular, especially in Europe. Some vids were on MTV back in the day. Funny, they were considered “different” back then, kind of Emo or Euro-pop. I know that Adam likes this sound. It’s kind of dreamy, not my real taste, but very relaxing and nice. If that is the real song, or the demo, I can definitely hear Adam doing this.
Can’t we picture him sitting on a stool, with a dancer or two swirling around him, it would be a lovely concert moment.
BTW, in the picture of him singing last night, did I spot a return of the LACES?!?!

Here in DC we have the tenth caller thing. I still don’t see how they can truly determine the tenth (or ninth) caller when hundreds of peeps are calling in at the same time. I would assume it has to be so random — clearly a matter of luck.
