After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

    Haha Oksana, peep!

  2. Miss Chaos says:

meips, she does read her e-mails, maybe I will compose one too, when I get a chance. Its just all about us having to defend Adam in every thread, otherwise why does she bother to even put them up. She has plenty of other Idols to put threads up for. We know the posters that post digs at Adam in every thread, and so does she, shes not stupid. The reason I found this site and you people is because of Mjs so I feel connected to her, plus I do like to read about some of the other stuff that their is on there. Anyhow——–

  3. glambotgram says:

jlurksacto thanks for the reminder about Liam McEwan’s Adam Lambert Hour. That was fun, I noticed they did not bleep Cuckoo.

Some tweets out there say Ireland is getting Trespassing on May 11, I think this is the earliest I have seen.

Oksanayou seem a little Mouse today! Wink

All the crap at Mj’s is exactly why I don’t post there anymore, I like reading differing opinions too but not trolls, I see too much of that under videos and articles posted elsewhere. She needs to realize if she keeps running off Adam fans her traffic will be cut in half at the very least.

    Thank you eywflyer,

  4. mieps says:

If we would stop visiting, she would feel it. Of course I have no idea of numbers, so it may be unnoticeable, but fewer hits, fewer advertising dollars. However, I really like seeing other opinions, and am not quite ready to give up. Sigh.

Actually, glambotgram, I did mention that too, that I was glad she kept the nasty stuff out – it greatly improves the reading pleasure.

BTW, I’ll be onslow2 from now on. Just in case I feel the need to say something again.

  5. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

And yes, banning me was a little ludicrous.

No, banning you was a whole lot ludicrous (I thought about using “whole lotta ludicrous”, but these are serious times, lol). How can a poster like Oksana get banned, but other people are allowed to post James Durbin links in Adam threads? I don’t think it would go over very well if we posted Adam links in James’ threads.

My other thought is … Devil …wait ’til the next Adam thread is open and make a big stinker of myself through a post, telling her that I’m banning myself from her blog – a blog that I’ve been visiting for three years and used to be highly enjoyable and entertaining, but has now become an exercise in patience. I will also say that there are many Adam fans who thoroughly enjoy reading the variety of opinions posted on her site – we don’t only want to read the “he can do no wrong” posts. However, we do, in the end, have to insist on fairness. We’ll see what kind of mood I’m in over the next few days. Sounds immature, I know, but I would like the other posters there to know (if only for a brief time, before I get deleted) that there are very unhappy Adam fans who will not be supporting her blog anymore.

It’s decided: Me and MJ are getting a divorce! Victory

  6. Oksana2000 says:

glambot,I don’t think that MJ cares anymore for Adam’s fans, now she has other Idolettes that people are passionate about, so she can keep enough traffic on her site.
If we not were mature, intelligent people , we would go to other Idols thread and annoy the shit out of other Idol fans.
Unfortunately we have more class than that.
I’m not going to lower my standards just because other people do.

  7. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Oksana, are there other idols that generate the volume of traffic that Adam threads do? I haven’t seen any! Of course, alot of the posts are negative/responding to the negative. It’s just ironic that you were banned – you’re the one who is constantly defending her and explaining her guidelines here! I have enjoyed her blog, but from what I gather from her sh*tty remarks on threads, I really think I wouldn’t be able to stand her as a person.

  8. Oksana2000 says:

It’s just ironic that you were banned

Texas, I had it coming.I think that it was the last drop, but she banned me for the most innocent comment, so it looks stupid.
I wonder if I’ll get an answer from her.

  9. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

It we not were mature, intelligent people , we would go other Idols thread and annoy shit out of other Idol fans.

Hmmm, yet another option! “His songs are so … oh, I don’t know … cliche!”

I would never do that – would cost me too much negative energy. But I get the feeling that in addition to all the wonderful, intelligent posters at mj’s, there are many who are very lonely, negative people. Bottom line is that her site is already costing me too much negative energy, which is a sign to me that I’ve been there too long. I’m so thankful to have this site and the good people who visit here. Bless you, eywflyer!

ETA: However, I promise you that she will know that I am finished and that it’s because of how she’s chosen to manage Adam’s threads. And now I’m finished with this topic and off to plant some beautiful spring flowers in my patio pots … those poor flowers, hope they survive all this pent-up anger!!

  10. dcglam says:

I decided to take a little walk over to the infamous thread for just a few and noticed that right now it seems to be as quiet as a mouse over there.
LOL, Oksana — you go, girl!!! Wink

  11. dcglam says:

I’m so thankful to have this site and the good people who visit here. Bless you, eywflyer!

    My sentiments EXACTLY!!!

  12. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

    Texas, I had it coming.

Oksana, I’m still not in agreement – you wouldn’t have had to make the comment if she had handled the thread appropriately in the first place! Just know that I always enjoy your posts – you’re a breath of fresh air and I am so glad that I can enjoy you here. Kiss

Morning peeps! Things in RL are very busy but am trying to keep up with y’all. Just can’t get enough of Adam’s new music. I especially love Cuckoo and think he and TJ are getting into a good grove. Here’s one of my favorites:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0z9KQZpivzk

I forgot to tell a little snippet from the Fab 4s DC experience. While waiting in line the radio folks were filming us and asking questions. When they asked us what our favorite song was we all said “Can’t Let You Go” . Here is a lovely ballet performance from a year ago.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDEz18WPxvY

  16. dcglam says:

Hi adamized — happy to “see” you this afternoon!
You are just like me — still thinking about that special day we all spent together in DC. I’m sure these memories will last a lifetime!

  17. ultimathule says:

Reading all these posts today, I realize once again how awful it would be if I didn’t have this place to come to to vent – can’t thank you enough, ewyflyer – appreciate it more than I can say.

And, Oksana – little mouse feet? Love it – mice can do a lot of damage – lol.

And – chalk it up to my Irish pissiness, but I want to stay at MJs to commit the occasional venial sin of being annoying on purpose. As we’ve discussed, it’s a delicate situation – both challenging and entertaining. (Don’t think Adam would disapprove – he likes that little knock once in a while – edgy with a smile.)

Just love that Cuckoo, adamized – dl’d it – his smile at the end is to die for – what a beauty. As far as CLYG is concerned, would like more background on how that was recorded. He’s said he can’t sing it live, but I remember someone saying that at the end he was on his knees in the studio – wonder if that’s true – would love him to enlarge on this. It’s an absolutely incredible track.

Have a great Sunday everyone – it’s overcast here in Maryland, but going to look at that Cuckoo again – that’d cheer anyone up.

  18. adamized says:

Hi dcglam! I told a friend yesterday about our experience and shared that I patted Adam’s stomach to get his attention. She laughed hysterically and couldn’t quite understand why I felt the need to do that. Looking back at it now it does seem quite silly and even a bit intrusive. Oh well, won’t be doing that again in this life time.

Need to go keep working on my renovation project. Have a great day.

  19. luval says:

Does this sound correct? The times for today:

Bing Lounge Livestream Today at 6PM PST/9PM EST

  20. adamized says:

Hi luval, saw the same info come through on my twitter feed today so hopefully it is correct. Yeah! More “live” Adam.

  21. dcglam says:

Texas… If you aren’t too busy composing a letter, please check your e-mail. Wink

  22. cwm says:

Well, sigh. Scorned. Here it is late Sunday morning and despite all of my valiant attempts and your good wishes (thank for those, everyone!), my opportunities to score tickets to see Adam in Portland today or tomorrow have all dried up. Sadz. Really sadz. Frown I even tried the begging and pleading route with the promotions departments and the DJs, as some of you recommended, to no avail.

I guess the up side is that tickets to see Adam were a very hot commodity and the competition was fierce. Which means there’s a good pocket of Adam fans in Oregon.

At one point yesterday, I accidentally called the station sponsoring tonight’s Bing Lounge show at the wrong time and chatted briefly with the DJ. He said that it’s going to be packed tonight and that this show has turned out to be the biggest deal the station has ever put on.

Thanks again for all of the support that was expressed here.

The Bing show will be live-streamed at 6:00pm Pacific time here: http://www.ustream.tv/binglounge

Since it’s an official livestream, hopefully it will be good quality.

  23. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Thanks for the words of wisdom, dcglam! I haven’t been composing my letter (yet Smile ); instead, I’ve been working through a mountain of “spring break” laundry with plans to pot flowers later this afternoon. The weather is so beautiful today – need to get outside and enjoy! Cool

  24. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

cwm, I’m so sorry your efforts didn’t produce a ticket. I’ve been thinking about you and hoping for a miracle! Sending you hugs!

    But this is great news!!

this show has turned out to be the biggest deal the station has ever put on.

  25. Kradamour says:

Checking in quickly…my mom is back in the hospital…so sorry to have missed the other three of our fab4, saw those three posts in a row and mine would have been the fourth! (waves!)

Adamized, the tummy pat was totally natural from you and made perfect sense, just as did your heartfelt and straightforward “Adam, I really, really like you.” It would have been impossible for him not to hear and understand that both came from a fundamentally good and affectionate place.

cwm, I am so sorry to hear that you will not have the oppy to see Adam on this promo tour. I am confident that the universe has another plan for you, and that you will have another opportunity later. Small comfort now, but sending good wishes and virtual hugs. And maybe you still want to go there and just find out if there is another space…you have nothing to lose, right? and then you will know, even if you don’t get in, instead of kicking yourself later and wondering if you would have been able to.
But even if you don’t, you will have the satisfaction of knowing, during the live stream, that this is “your” promo! Mwah! Heart

and…sorta embarrassed to share this Thinking Blush …I just started the novel that I have wanted to write for over ten years. I had made little notes, but never thought it was worth actually pursuing. The appreciation of my recap and encouraging posts have made me think that perhaps I really can do this. RL will keep it from being written quickly, but I have promised myself that I will work on it weekly, no matter what, even if only a little bit. (Heck, if we are only 29 there is lots of time to finish!) I bought a flash drive to devote to the novel, and having a tangible object will make it more "real" to me. Thank you for the encouragement! Taking a deep breath and diving into the new adventure…

  26. glambotgram says:

He said that it’s going to be packed tonight and that this show has turned out to be the biggest deal the station has ever put on.

The list of other performers shows why this is the biggest event they have put on, I have never heard of any of them. Makes me sad to know how hard he has to work to get some positive energy from the radio stations and to get his music out there when others(not nearly so deserving)just put out an album and make a couple of TV appearances, and watch plays and spins soar. Cry

  27. cwm says:

Thanks for your kind words, Texas and Kradamour! I’m trying to be zen about it.

Re: just dropping by the station or the venue to see if I can score a seat from a no-show, since I live 2 hours away from Portland, it’s too big an investment of time and energy with too little guarantee of payoff.

glambotgram – I agree with you. And yes, this is a relatively new station and I their previous shows have been with much less well known artists. But it is nice that Adam is making them sit up and take notice.

And Kradamour – you go girl! That’s awesome that you’ve started writing that novel that is just waiting to get out of you and onto paper!

  28. luval says:

Oh, I thought Adam was going to be the only performer there tonight…like the other promos!

My wish is that in the few gigs that are left, if & when Adam sings Cuckoo that he’ll be surprised when the people there YELL OUT Cuckoo!

cwm…it will happen, don’t worry. At some point every one of us will meet Adam! I know because he wants to hug every single one of his fans! Smile

Hi adamized…you are probably off to RL but want to say that tummy pat was so natural. If you notice many of the meet & greeters are holding their hand on his tummy & I’ll bet they pat too!

  29. luval says:

First I want to say…GOOD FOR YOU, KRADAMOUR!!! I have a feeling Adam inspired you in some way to start your novel.

Another great post from NoAngel at Adamtopia:

Compromising Art or The Art of Compromise
    3/25/2012 by NoAngel

Adam has said in no uncertain terms that he wants to make it big in the pop music world. Does that mean that he crafts and manipulates his image and his music to suit the pop music box? I’d say yes. Does it therefore mean that he’s selling out or compromising his artistic integrity? Before we answer that I think it’s important to think about the tension that nearly all artists have between their vision/values and their desire for an audience, preferably one that pays enough (money and/or attention) for them to continue to create.

A little story from my own experience: I write poetry and a while back I submitted some work to a journal. They accepted a poem with the caveat that I make an adjustment to the last line. At first I was appalled and offended. This was my precious art—how dare they ask me to change it? It was perfect as is! But I really wanted to be published in this journal, and so I took a deep breath and looked again. Their suggestion was pretty minor, and it was actually a good one. I decided to make the change. Did I sell out? No, I believe I made the right choice for myself.

But it’s not only artists who compromise. Have you ever gone on a job interview and “dressed to impress? Maybe you usually dress in an eclectic style, but you really want this job and the dress code is pretty conservative, so you buy a nice new suit and cover your tattoo and borrow your mom’s pearl necklace. Are you betraying your true self? When they ask you about your interests and you talk about volunteering at a soup kitchen and “forget” to mention that you are a Burner, are you compromising your integrity?

The thing is, life is all about compromise, for all of us. Any artist who wants commercial success will acknowledge that some measure of compromise is part of the equation. It is up to the individual artist to decide what is acceptable and what is not. It’s easy to critique those choices from the comfort of an armchair but none of us are in Adam’s head or in his shoes. His choices are just that. His. Maybe I’d do things differently and maybe not. The reality is, Adam would have to “compromise” no matter what artistic path he chose. If he wanted to focus on classic rock music, he’d have to put his love of snythpop on the back burner. If he chose a career in theater or opera, he’d have to give up his propensity for improvisation.

The best I can do is to recognize that Adam is on his own journey and that he is the only person who can decide which decisions to make as he pursues his artistic and career goals. He knows himself, he knows what he wants, and he knows what he’s willing to do to get there. As I learned, making a compromise isn’t a tragedy; it’s a choice. I’ll leave it to Adam to make those choices. Meanwhile, I’m happy to choose to support the art that results.

I got through, a few times, but not the 9th caller.
I really feel bad for you.
It’s all luck, and I usually don’t win.

Keep trying today, and the last tickets, will be given away at 4:00p.m.
If you won, you would have to speed, to get to Portland from Eugene!

    Next chance, IS RIGHT NOW!
Start dialing, even though they haven’t announced it yet.

  31. ultimathule says:

Great post, luval – Adam has the most intelligent, thoughtful fans – like attracts like IMO.

And, Krad – great news that you’ve decided to finally write that book – hope you keep us up on your progress – and maybe a hint or two as to what its theme is. Exciting times.

  32. riskylady says:

cwm, sad that you weren’t able to get to see Adam live after trying so hard for so long.
He didn’t come anywhere near Florida, so we were totally left out. All they play here in Miami is “rap and crap.”
Oksana, I think you were the “sacrificial lamb,” the “token Adam fan” that got banned (for no reason, really) to try to prove her point that MJ’s is not a fan site. Hmmm, strange she doesn’t prove that point to the rabid Durbin or Kris fans that are always crapping on Adam threads.
I have actually banned MJ’s from myself – I don’t post there anymore and will not again – she’s way too obnoxious.
Kradamour YAY! Had to happen sooner or later! Art cannot be suppressed forever.

  33. riskylady says:

Anyway, my main purpose was this:

    Oshianna‏@Oshi4Real
We need to rally!!! Team Work!!! What Glamberts do best! Need to pull off SC until after Adam’s radio visit on 3/30! http://radiosophie.radio.com/2012/03/23/sophies-challenge-adam-lambert-vs-junior-doctor/

Adam has promo scheduled here this Friday! We can’t let him lose!!!!!!

  34. luval says:

Ultimathule…As far as compromising, Adam is not saying the “F” word in several renditions of Cuckoo. Some singers, I’m sure would say “then I’m not going to sing if I can’t say the words the way the song was written!” I know there are some examples of this somewhere.

eta..riskylady…I voted on this a couple of days ago and it won’t let me vote again, so yes each one of us has to throw in a vote!

  35. glambotgram says:

luval the other performers I was speaking of at tonight’s venue, are artists scheduled for other dates, not the same night as Adam.
Also I don’t feel like Adam has compromised at all, I am just sad that radio peeps are so hard on him and then play the crap they do play, over and over again.

ETA: Are any of these performances going out live on radio, that would explain the censoring he does, or maybe they have just asked him to do it. Like I said earlier I noticed it wasn’t censored in NZ.

  36. ultimathule says:

Yes, luval – Adam has spoken to this point – the need to “compromise” (really, to me, that’s just fitting your performance to the audience – didn’t he use the ef word at Jezebel?) in order to get his music out there.

Adam can’t get away with anything – the media, etc., are just ready to pounce on the boy.

  37. luval says:

glambotgram…you’re right. He doesn’t compromise. Just uses his judgement & respects the situation and “arena” he is singing at. Really classy I think.

haha ulti…we kinda sorta said the same thing!

  38. ultimathule says:

    Classy – definitely

riskylady, it’s working! When I voted there yesterday Adam was losing and just now I went over to the voting site (where they wouldn’t let me vote again) and he is ahead! YAY! But not by that much, so anyone who hasn’t voted should go over there and do it now.

Joining in on the conversation of MJs….I used to love it there…Followed the American Idol tour with Adam and it was so exciting all the time, with all the twitter comments usually about Adam…But now I read there once in awhile, I have stopped posting because I usually was forever getting banned…The best comment I have read there in a long while was the baby Jesus Kris, or something along that line..I burst out laughing at that one.

I don’t really post much here, but I love this blog, so thank you so much for all the great comments.

@Kradamour…So happy that you are following your dream of writing…Your recaps were amazing…You certainly have a gift for writing…

On another site I read, a girl that used to sing all the time, stopped because she was not getting anywhere.. She wrote to Adam and he replied and encouraged her to continue with her singing. She has been singing ever since…
