After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

ultimathule so I wonder, does that mean a livestream or that it will be recorded for later viewing or on TV live, the whole concert!

I’m loving that Sonisphere will be televised, at least in Europe. Hopefully a DVD too, like other festivals. Also loving that it opened with Adam with Queen at the EMA’s. And, the ending, I hope Adam sings that song too. I think it’s called “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

And, did anyone catch that in a recent interview, he was very excited about “maybe” a duet??? A very exciting one if it works out????

    Bowie at Knebworth. Under Pressure.

Everybody join hands. And chant “Adam, Bowie, Under Pressure, Knebworth” Over and over. Put it out into the universe.

  6. ultimathule says:

Yes – the other link was to muzu.tv/sonisphere where it said watch our “epic” video about Sonisphere where we’ll R&R all night, etc.

  7. milwlovesadam says:

Oh, and hey, I shouldn’t have bragged before about weight loss. I’m just having a good start to what looks like a long battle. I have found something that works in combination with something else, got off my duff finally, and have a loooong way to go.

But, the key is that I feel better than I have in years. And, I do thank you all and Adam with his juicing for this kick-start.

And with that, I’m off to my treadmill. With GN Live. I haven’t tried walking to it yet. Wish me luck. Hope I don’t fall off during Fever!!

  8. nkd says:

    Texas, thank you!
That’s our Adam! Our smile and hug!

  9. nkd says:

Focus mils on the walking, not on the laces!
Congrats on your accomplishments and keep at it!

  10. milwlovesadam says:

Hahaha nkd!! Now you tell me!!!

To the treadmill fer realz now!

We both know I should probably just move my treadmill right into the recesses of the corner, just to be safe!!

I have a question. Did any of you that placed deposit with Fault magazine was contacted later about full payment? I can’t even find any e-mail confirming that I ordered it with the exception of Pay-Pal payment.

  12. ultimathule says:

Yes, Oksana – got an e-mail, too. I’ll go look and see what it says.

  13. Oksana2000 says:

    Ultima,thanks.

  14. ultimathule says:

Oksana – they wanted the balance of payment before March 31 – so I just paid it – Total came to $21.18 U.S. with shipment.

Hello, Just dropping by to ask a question here because I would never venture into a numbers thread at MJs. I know that Adam fans get a bad rap for being crazy, but someone at MJ’s said that as of 10 pacific time Kris Allen had 92 hac spins this week and was hoping for 100 by midnight. Now I think that is strange to keep track of something like that and be willing to admit it.Anyway, is that really good and should I be hiding in a corner for ever doubting this outstanding talent? Also should I start preparing myself for the inevitable grammy nomination that is certainly coming his way? Sorry but I’m kinda cranky about MJs right now.

  17. dcglam says:

Mils…. Just close your eyes and pretend you are dancing. I do it all the time on the treadmill. I even find myself moving in time with the music. Sure, my gym buddies must think I’m a nut case, but who cares?!?! Believe me, you will be safe during Fever.
Happy dancing walking, mils! And yes, like nkd said…. Congratulations on
    your accomplishments!! Big Smile

Hmmm — outstanding talent, inevitable grammy nomination….
    No worries, my friend.

  20. Ellessay says:

Confession time….I have not voted on the VH1 countdown. Not once since they made the change. I started once using my facebook account, but they want to access my account, post things in my name, access my friends’ accounts, etc. I don’t think so! I joined twitter to be able vote, but I still can’t make myself go past that request to access information. So I just haven’t voted. Wonder how many others haven’t voted for the same reason. I haven’t pre-ordered the album yet either. It’s on my Amazon wish list, but haven’t quite done it yet. Figured I had plenty of time.

  21. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Ellessay, there’s a way to vote through twitter without “going public” – I think there’s a “Share” box on the voting page. Just click to uncheck the box and submit. But I’m with you – happy to vote, just don’t want all my friends to think I’m stranger than they probably already do. Grin

  22. Oksana2000 says:

Ultima, are you on AL Fansite? I have the same name, do you want to contact me over there?

  23. dcglam says:

I joined twitter to be able vote, but I still can’t make myself go past that request to access information.

Like you Ellessay, I signed on for a Twitter account for voting purposes only. As far as I know, the only information that is out there on me is my initials. I used that instead of my full name when signing up. I am only following one person — Adam. That is all, and I can vote 20 times each day. Wink

ETA: Just read Texas’s advice for the other side of it all. Right, just uncheck the share box if you want your vote to be kept private.

  24. luval says:

I love this tweet from someone who ran into Adam last night:

@jewish_sex like, my heart hurts right now. Omg. Oh my god. Why, how. I can’t deal with the perfection of his face.

omg I love this photo too from AQD:

  25. ultimathule says:

Oksana – the e-mail came from the following:

    info@booksmagazinesetc.com

Embedded in the e-mail is a link directly from me to the mag place. The info there says to use that link only from me and don’t transfer as it’ll screw up other peoples’ payments.

  26. ultimathule says:

You know, luval when someone here called Adam a “saint” for putting up with all the questions, etc. – think that pic would be perfect to illustrate that. All he needs is a halo.

  27. Oksana2000 says:

ultima, thanks. If I don’t hear from them until Monday, I’m gonna send them e-mail.Did you get a confirmation e-mail from them when you initially ordered the magazine?Sorry to bug you, but I’m getting worried.

  28. luval says:

ultimathule…I think it was Oksana who called him a saint! Yes, I wish I knew how to superimpose a halo on that pic!

  29. Oksana2000 says:

luval, yes, it was me! Smile

  31. Ellessay says:

I think those of us in the fan bubble are just too impatient. We’re following his every move and to us he seems very visible, why isn’t he a global icon yet?

But even though the rest of my family like Adam well enough, they aren’t following his every move. And they will make remarks about past idols, how we never hear anything about them. Well fans of those idols feel they have been very active…you can see it in remarks about Kris and David C. or even David A. If you follow a fan site, like MJs, you know they are out there doing a lot of stuff. It’s all perception.

Most of us lazy people only know what we see on tv. I never listen to radio and most of the people I know don’t either. They are playing CDs or listening to iPod or mp3 players. We know music from movie soundtracks. We know people who are on television, whether in awards shows, guest stars on talk shows, guest appearances in tv series, special, or in a movie.

Most of the stuff Adam has been in on tv have been for a specific audience, usually not the mainstream. I would love to see him guest in a popular series, like Taylor Swift did in CSI or Justin Bieber. I would love a TV musical special hosted by a big name (like Cher), and having Adam be one of the guest performers. And of course, appearances on Idol would help.

Adam has a lot of name recognition, and most acknowledge his talent, but there has been a lot of negative stuff out there too–the AMA’s, the Miami run-in with the cameraman, the episode in Finland. Some are in awe of his style, others make fun of his outfits/makeup. He’s been compared to Lady Gaga. The entertainment shows repeat this crap over and over. Many non-fans I’ve talked to act as if he’s just another crazy celebrity, always getting into trouble because that’s all they’re seeing.

To some people he will always be “the gay guy who won idol.” I actually had a family member refer to him as that. I like it that he’s dressing down these days, looking like the guy next door (only way more handsome!). He can still play dress up as much as he likes in his performances, but I think the public needs to see the difference in him as a person and him as a performer. He really can be post-gay and change people’s minds about stereotypes.

Re:voting on VH1 – I gave up. Whether we vote or not it apparently doesn’t matter.

Oh, dear, no, Oksana, don’t give up! It was merely a one position slide. I’ve seen artists move around a bit–up a position, down a position–on that chart before. It’s a really competitive market, and there are a ton of artists out there vying for every vote they can get. I think the fact that after being out of the limelight for several years he was able to chart in the top 20 on anything means he’s still got a fanbase and he’s still got “it.” Now that he’s trying to break back into the crazy pop world is when he needs us die-hards the most!

LOL! On his Grammy, do we spell his first name with a C or K.

  39. Oksana2000 says:

ultima, since I’ve never gotten e-mail receipt from them, I’m gonna write something right away. I just wish I know where to write so my e-mail will not fall thru the cracks…

I went back to my mail and I found payment confirmation, but it was from PayPal, not from Fault magazine. Now I’m confused..

  40. ultimathule says:

Ellessay – agree with much of your comment. My huge tribe – some of whom are very interested in Adam – still depend on me to keep them up to date. Of course, I have the time to do it and many of them don’t. What’s funny – because of me, a number of them think Adam is more famous than he actually is and I have to let them know that he’s got a long way to go to be in the top rank of performers (even though I think he belongs there). It’s cute – sometimes they’ll even initiate a conversation – love when that happens – have to speak calmly and not overdo the information – keep them guessing a bit.

Sometimes wonder when I wander (isn’t that a song?) through the enormous Giant grocery store here in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, how many of these hundreds of people would know him if I asked. In this area – don’t think more than a few.

  41. ultimathule says:

Oksana – (think I lost my post somewhere)

Anyhow – I used a Visa card, rather than PayPal – don’t know if that makes a difference.

Maybe you could e-mail the publisher from one of the two links I posted above?

That’s how I felt here in the Chicago area, ultimathule, based on the fact that the Mix only played WWFM for a short time and long after it was released and now only plays BTIKM (2-3 times daily M-F) on a listener voting request show. Our Top 40 station NEVER plays him (now or during the WWFM days). But then I learned from a co-worker, who was a Kris fan and didn’t even like Adam during Idol, that she LOVED IIHY — I’d never heard it on the radio, but she was hearing it on a local station out of Bolingbrook/Plainfield, IL called Star 96.7. I remembered this and checked them out a couple weeks ago. Over the past 3 days, I’ve heard BTIKM on that station each day while driving to/from work or running errands. So, I checked the station’s playlist, and it seems to play 3-4 times daily, both day and overnight, and, as of yesterday, anyway, was #12 on their “Top Hits” list. Thing is, I’m sure they’re not alone in America. I’m guessing there are a lot more pockets of people out there who are aware of him than we know. I think that if radio all across the country caught onto a song, there’d be a lot of the general public ready to embrace it than we can imagine.

LOL–Probably just because of the hits from the rabid fanbase! I only used that as an example because I don’t follow any other artists, but I do see some posts about them on MJs. There was no Idol before Adam for me, and he’s ruined the show for me since.

  44. ultimathule says:

Really like that thought, Teri63 – “more pockets of people out there who are aware of him than we know.” Yes, lovely thought.

    Sums it up perfectly, Ellessay.

I enjoy all this discussion on Adam and his popularity. And I too wonder when I’m walking in this huge mall in town, how many people know about Adam. The only “pocket of people” (thanks Teri63) I actually am aware of is my group at work who are aware of my obsession. That’s it! And at least we know now there’s a pocket at Amazon who may have not been aware of him who are now! Hopefully there will be more and more joining the “fans of the man” cult! LOL (btw who first came up with “fans of the man?”

MJ reopened Adam’s thread. It saddens me that each time Adam fans want to gather together and talk about him we are getting stupid trolls, Adam non-fans who want to add their nasty 5 cents or Cousin Ronnie, who I bet waits with a bated breath for Adam’s thread to say something critical about him.
    Now the thread is dead….
