After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

I went over to mj’s to see what all the fuss was about and found this.

    http://www.twistedradio.com/podcasts/BRSPodcast_2012-03-23_3285.mp3

OMG these dj’s play BFM , talk about out of the loop.

ETA It is a podcast and Adam starts at about 1/5 of the way across.

  2. Oksana2000 says:

Which one of you has alter ego “Lucy November” Ha?!

  3. ultimathule says:

Listened to that podcast – the djs were nice – just out of the Pop music loop apparently. Played “Rough Trade” as Adam came in – and Adam said “I didn’t release that album (twice).” They then talked about bootleg albums and Adam then said it caused him a whole lot of trouble. This just validates what I’ve always thought about the release of his single and Trespassing. BFM threw a huge monkey wrench into that.

  4. ultimathule says:

I’ve been “liking” you a lot (and some others) on MJs, Oksana.

  5. Ron says:

Smile The one post I made on MJ’s tonight identifies me as yahoo-EHLLVHVBNXZDFAISZMISUV4EKQ ! Catchy, isn’t it? Big Smile I don’t know where that came from and I don’t see how to log in. I have … or maybe it’s had … a wordpress account over there same as I do here but I don’t see where I can access it.

  6. Oksana2000 says:

Ron, I think that you have re-register again at MJ’s. Don’t ask me how I did it, cause I don’t remember.
    AT ALL…

  7. Oksana2000 says:

Ultima, remember that “liking” someone who is likely to be banned, might ban you as well…

  8. ultimathule says:

Yes, I know, Oksana – happened to me once before. Didn’t see any real ban-worthy posts – just very funny ones.

  9. nkd says:

    EHLLVHVBNXZDFAISZMISUV4EKQ…???
I think I’ll stick to calling you Ron!
    Geez!

  10. ultimathule says:

The funniest were the “world tour” and “vocal coach” comments – had me rollin’.

  11. Ron says:

I’m sure you’d like to call me a few other things but I do prefer Ron. Wink

With that, I bid you all a good night.

    Take care.

  12. Miss Chaos says:

WoW! I just went over to MJs and she lets that crap stay on there? I thought there was not to be any talking about other Idols on a Thread. Yet she lets them talk smack about Durbin again. The woman needs to get her shit together, really, I want to read about Adam in a Adam thread, not crapass James and how he is going to take over Adam when he gets out of the AI bubble, and that hes a real man, WTF, and I cant make a comment on that. MJ needs to wake up, its not fun in there anymore. And if this is bad, wait till the Album comes out, oh and Queen concert. We may be putting MJ out of business!lololol

  13. Ron says:

    Good Morning,

Adam’s thread on MJ’s is closed. It appears she deleted 30+ comments overnight including mine. Yet, Nina’s post calling Adam a “walking cliche” is okay by MJ and remains intact.

My response, however, to Nina … “There are several Charities and a number of Organizations that have given awards to Adam in recognition for his unique contributions both monetarily and as a human being whom I suspect might disagree with you” … is not okay by MJ’s standards.

I guess MJ approves of a negative unsubstantiated opinion of Adam instead of a favorable established fact.

I’ll never offer a comment there again. MJ isn’t going to have EHLLVHVBNXZDFAISZMISUV4EKQ to kick around any more. Wink

  14. dcglam says:

I’ll never offer a comment there again. MJ isn’t going to have EHLLVHVBNXZDFAISZMISUV4EKQ to kick around any more.

First laugh of the day — thank you, Ron!Wink

I have the VH1 countdown show on in the background as I run around the house doing Saturday stuff. Now we have Katy Perry’s new video in the mix. Bill O’Reilly gave it a huge shout-out last night (hubby watches the show). I predict this one will move up the countdown quickly. I agree with Bill — it’s good! Like Adam’s BTIKM video, Katy’s vid is very creative and tells a story.

ETA: I’m thinking that MJ didn’t even read your comment, Ron. She most likely became skeered after viewing your user name — yup, this one’s a goner.
LOL…. She probably thought you were a troll.

  15. luval says:

    Good morning!

Dcglam…I’m at work. How did BTIKM do?

  16. dcglam says:

Not well, luval…. It actually went down a notch to #12. They didn’t even play the whole video, either — only a snippet. Frown

  17. Miss Chaos says:

I dont get it about the video at all. WWFM stated at No 1 for weeks and weeks. IIHY I am pretty sure went to No 1 for a while, and now his best video went to 11 and now down to 12? Are we in our own little world thinking that Adam has all these fans and he really doesnt? We are just in the fan bubble and the rest of the world likes all those other videos better? Has he lost a lot of fans since the tour and his last songs? I thought the anticipation of a new album would have people voting like crazy for him. I just dont get it, and I am a little scared for him about this album, everyone says they love it, but what if it does the same thing as this video and BTIKM song? Cry Question weep

  18. jlurksacto says:

  19. Oksana2000 says:

Miss Chaos, voting by fans on VH1 has nothing to do with position on the countdown. If you look on VH1 Twitter, almost all voting is by Adam fans.
There are other factors that we don’t know about. I wouldn’t be surprised if BTIKM vid was gone next week.
BTW, all my comments on MJ thread were removed. Let me check if I was banned as well.

  20. luval says:

ITA Miss Chaos. But I think we can all agree that VH1 doesn’t run their countdown by popularity. I was really hoping it would get in the top 10. Frown

  21. nkd says:

Behind the scenes video at Fault.
    http://fault-magazine.com/film/

I’m disappointed at the VH1 countdown. Frown

  22. ultimathule says:

I guess, Oksana, MJ had to take the comments down, but they were all so light-hearted and funny that it was a shame. The original nutso post was just so over-the-top that no one took it seriously. Annieba(?) was especially hilarious – that “I’m skeered” post and, as I noted above, the “world tour” and “voice lessons” ones were hilarious. Beginning to think that humor is not allowed at MJs – too bad – love a great riposte.

  23. Oksana2000 says:

On the bright side, Trespassing is moving nicely upward on Amazon
since release date was announced. In the bigger picture this is more important than VH1 placement.

  24. ultimathule says:

Yes – the BTIKM era is over – not too broken up about it. I’m ready for the fun music – sexy – dancey – and, even though I liked it a lot, a video that has something besides angst in it.

  25. nkd says:

This!!!! It’s from about the :51-:53 mark in the BTS Fault video.

  26. Kradamour says:

Are we in our own little world thinking that Adam has all these fans and he really doesnt? We are just in the fan bubble and the rest of the world likes all those other videos better? Has he lost a lot of fans since the tour and his last songs? I thought the anticipation of a new album would have people voting like crazy for him.

These are really good questions, MissChaos.
I suspect that the answers are complicated. Yes, I think we are in a bubble. I think he does have fans, and a lot of them, but it is the uberfans who are keeping things afloat while others move on to a greater or lesser extent and may or may not wander back, totally depending upon how kickass this CD is. Eager anticipation? Um, not much. Just the uberfans. (And I am proud to be in that group!) I honestly think that it isn’t on a lot of other radar.
The fabulous magazine covers/articles? European and Asian. Adam is pretty MIA in the American press. And MIA on American Radio.
When I mentioned to peeps that I was going to the radio promo in DC, I got more than a few puzzled looks…then “Oh, right, that guy that was on Idol a few years ago. Did he ever do an album?” plus a couple of total “who is that?”.
Bubble? Definitely. This second album better really hit the mark. I think that the uberfans can keep his career going almost indefinitely – he’ll never need to worry about his next meal – but the world domination that some plan for him? Definitely not a given, no matter how great the voice and fabulous the individual. Album #2 needs to be a massive hit.
    With lots of successful singles.

ETA: on the cheery side, I just received my Swedish Dorian magazine. That cover is even more gorgeous than the web images, if such a thing is possible! Haven’t had time to open it yet, saving it for a time when I can just sit and immerse for a bit…

  27. ultimathule says:

    Absolutely agree with you, Krad.

  28. Miss Chaos says:

Oksana2000, yup your comments are gone, they were there earlier. I think she said if you comment back to a deleted post or banned person your post will be gone too. I dont know, shes a crazy person. You can cuss and swear, and say all kinds of nasty things, I saw the same person on the Kelly thread, calling her a fat country singer singing a Beatles song and thats seems to be ok. You know every time she starts an Adam thread this happens, yet look at the number of posts on his threads, and all the other Idols together including the Durbinator, and Baby Jesus, and Adam beats them all out. Yet everytime she has to know up front the thread is gonna go wacko, and she lets it happen by letting the crap be put on that she knows shouldnt be on ther then she wacks it all off. I just dont know anymore.I love the info and people here, and I like to read Idol stuff from the new show, and Adam stuff, but I cant believe it is still getting so bad. Is this what Adam is up aganist in the real world?????? Frown Big Frown

  29. Teri63 says:

MissChaos: I wouldn’t worry too much yet. Don’t forget that they’ve changed the voting procedure since WWFM and IIHY were in the VH1 countdown so that you can now only cast 20 votes per day. I think Adam’s fan base is still alive and well, but it was never as big as those of many other artists; it was just more enthused and connected in their drive to vote over and over and over again. Also, I think the fact that those songs were released closer to his coming in second on AI had something to do with just how rabidly his fans voted on things back then. I think we all here felt Adam was robbed of the big title, and many were going to be damned if he came in second ever again! Since then, Adam’s gone on to so many personal and professional “victories” that I think that while they are still in existence, many of his fans have backed off of being soooooo OTT on his behalf. In the long run, as long as we buy his music and go see him in concert, it will be a good thing for him that some of the rabid behavior seems to have waned. I’ve heard of a couple DJs here and there joking about his “crazy” fan base, but I haven’t heard of any complaints this time around about fans pissing off the radio stations, so when he comes out with something that connects with more radio stations, I think he’s in a good place. He’s charmed the pants off radio personalities across the nation and the pond, and I truly believe one of his more upbeat songs will be better received and do better on the charts.

In my head, although the jury is still out for me on that Toby guy who’s the assistant PD at some big radio station, I keep remembering what he said about the PD’s having to figure out where BTIKM would fit. I think it fits well on HAC, but it seems like only already very established pop stars have their moody tunes go big on Top 40. I don’t know numbers here, so I may be wrong, but I seem to remember hearing Pink’s “Glitter in the Air” over and over on my local Mix station, but I only heard it once in a great while on Top 40, so even someone as established as she is had a better time at HAC with a moodier song. I just looked it up, and if Wikipedia is to be believed, it was said to have done well on Adult radio, peaking at #8 on Adult Top 40. This was the sixth single off of her 5th album and was released just after it was performed on the Grammy’s.

Anyway, my point is, I think Adam’s album goes a lot deeper than BTIKM. I love the song, but I do think the quality of the snippets we’ve heard indicates there are much better things to come. I still think BTIKM was a good intro because it reminded the radio programmers and less involved fans than us here that Adam has an amazing talent. I wouldn’t have wanted one of the awesome dance tunes to have been released months before the album’s release because I think they are what’s going to spark new interest in Adam’s abilities. Had one of those been release too soon, the excitement about a new, funkier Adam would have died down by the time the album came out. Now that he’s reminded us all that he has killer pipes and has charmed radio personalities everywhere, when he releases his next single here “very soon,” it’s likely, IMO, to be looked at a little more seriously when it crosses the PDs desks. One last thought I’d like to add to my already waaay too long post: I keep thinking that these visits generally garner “favors” to the artist, don’t they? I mean, it seems like a visit from a singer generally results in some spins of their music. Is it possible that the favors are going to be cashed in on the next song, particularly with the Top 40 stations he’s visiting? Like, I was shocked that Z100 didn’t play the heck out of BTIKM after they gave so much attention to WWFM. Maybe they’ve worked out a deal with single #2?

    Now I’m really sad. Frown

  31. JOJOSIE says:

At MJ’s you get to post “your” opinion. You cannot questions another posters opinion. The trouble usually starts when someone post a very unkind or unpopular opinion and fans race to their Idols defence. It doesn’t matter who the Idol is as sometimes it’s Adam, James, Cook, etc. Ron, your mistake was that your post was not only stating your views but at the end questioning Nina’s. I love you Ron and your view echoes mine, but I’ve learned to save it for fansites. Having been around awhile I think the Glamberts rank right up there with the Claymates and Soulpatrol for dedication. While we love Adam to death, we have to realise that not everyone does and never will. I’m just happy to be a fan and enjoy the many other fans who appreciate Adam. You let the trolls and non-fans win when you respond to them and you loose as you get deleted or banned. Just words from someone who’s been around the world and fandom for a long time. Big Smile

  32. milwlovesadam says:

    Well said Jojosie.

I’m going to go see if I’m banned from MJ’s for liking our comments last night.

    ETA: Nope. Guess I’m safe.

ETA: Just got home from my weekly meeting.

Juicing + treadmill + weekly meeting ( J Hud style ) = weight loss every day. Every single day.

  33. luval says:

Teri63….nice post. Now I’m not so sad. Smile

  34. Oksana2000 says:

JOJOSIE, I agree with you, but that troll on MJ’s was so funny that I couldn’t resist and answered. But only once!! Smile
Keep in mind, that if the troll is really annoying and is clearly trolling MJ will take care of him/her. To post your “opinion” is one thing, to post stuff just to annoy fanbase is another and MJ can tell the difference. I’m not upset when she deletes my comments, I know what I’m doing before I post them.

  35. Teri63 says:

I’m glad you’re not so sad, luval! I get frustrated sometimes because I think everyone should love him as much as we do, but I can’t get too sad for someone who’s living his dream; driving a BMW that he parks in the garage of his lovely Hollywood Hills home that he shares with a little Finnish hottie, who cooks and cleans and appears to be the love of his life; getting to make records with absolutely amazing, high-powered music people; garnering praise from some of the most iconic performers of our lifetimes; being selected, by the esteemed host himself, from among a party of 900, to sit at Elton John’s table;and getting to perform in front of a crowd of 65,000+ with Queen. He may not be as well known as we’d like, but I’m guessing that as long as he gets to continue “living the life,” we won’t see him crying into his freshly squeezed and blended California fruit and veggie juice.

  36. Miss Chaos says:

milwlovesadam1!!! lalalalalalalalal! I cant hear you!!!!!!!

But no, congrats, I could never loose weight, or drink strange stuff, my insides couldnt take it. My juice consists of Mochas, and wine, lolololololol, oh and I do drink a lot of water Grin

  37. glambotgram says:

I loved the Amazon chat and songs. He sounded amazing on BTIKM and Trespassing. The questions were different and you can tell he is really enjoying himself.
On the one video when he takes a drink of water, someone near the video says he is drinking vodka. Probably a joke but ticked me off that he would say that. lol

And the Fault video, WOW, can the man get any sexier? I love the longer shot of the cover outfit and those tight jeans. Yum

  38. ultimathule says:

I think MJ’s remonstrations have actually had an effect. Don’t seem to see as many outwardly (or even subtly) nasty Adam posts on the blog as in the past. Know I’m more careful when commenting – something I think of as funny might not be so to MJ.

  39. ultimathule says:

Great post, Teri63 – lifted my spirits, too. Many thanks.

  40. Teri63 says:

Thanks, Mils, you just gave me the last push I needed to get off my a** and head for the gym in a bit here when my laundry finishes!

I’ve been faithfully drinking 8oz a day of my organic super veggie juice. I’m just too lazy and cheap to do the juicer thing with the fresh vegetables!

So Sauli was with Adam last night at The Pony. Not sure if that’s in Portland or in LA.

  43. Miss Chaos says:

Well said Teri, but ya know, I just get sick of all over TV, is the Fetus (sorry I love calling him that) plus all the women singers that Adam is compared to and sings better than most. Along those lines, who buys all those songs sung by women anyhow. I thought women were the big shoppers, and they all love and shop for women singers, that are half naked on videos, I dont know any men in my life that would bother to by womens songs. Adam should be scarfed up by women buyers, yet hes not. There are no older pop stars other than midget Bruno, and who knows where Beiber is gonna fit in with the older crowd. Ya know Ricky Martin was like Adam and he made it big, people freaked over him. JT is good, but in the background now, what male singers that are any good do we have????? Maybe Adam is destined to be big in other countries, which as stated puts all that money in the bank for him. I guess this country is all about the country singers, women singers, and dont forget LMAFO for crip sakes. Neutral

  44. Oksana2000 says:

Teri63, I love your post. Some fans will be never satisfied until Adam will reach Gaga status (famous “world domination”), but I’ll bet when Adam looks at his life 3 years ago he must be still be pinching himself.
Regardless how his album will do he is in that happy place, he always wanted to be (Sauli). And being brilliant performer he is, he will always make money performing.

    – something I think of as funny might not be so to MJ.
I learned this the hard way too. I thought it was a light-hearted comment, but it really pressed her buttons.
cwm on the other hand is a master of MJ-posting. I remember a post that went something like “I am glad Kris’ fans are liking his new single.” Faint praise perfection. Grin

teri63: both your posts were spot-on. Way to put things into perspective.

  46. Teri63 says:

Miss Chaos: You raise good points about the women, Bieber and Bruno, but one thing kind of interesting in the rather short list of men that have made it big doing pop in Top 40 is that they’ve all had more of an R & B or funky vibe. Bruno is the least “funky,” maybe, but he has a definite R & B flavor — and look at who else have been huge male influences: Prince, Michael Jackson, Timberlake and Ricky Martin, like you mentioned. Bieber doesn’t yet count, IMO, because he’s this generation’s Donny Osmond. He may translate to an adult star, and he may not. Thus far, the songs Adam has introduced to the general public have been WWFM, which had more of a pop-rock vibe and, while I love it, really sounded like Adam covering a Pink song; IIHY, which is fun and poppy, but not particularly sophisticated; and BTIKM, which has a cool blend of R & B and techno, but still sounds an awful lot like WWFM, so it wasn’t like he was bringing anything new to the table. His other new stuff, though? From the snippets, it sounds like he’s finally found his own groove. I’m not going to say he’s going to be the next male Madonna, or anything, but I do think he’s going to gain considerable cred, move beyond the Idol stigma (I think he’s already doing that to some extent, at least in as much as how he’s viewed by others in the business)and sell enough albums to have a solid career.
