After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

Does wine count in a juice fast?

Well, here is a data point, darlin’:
In pre-revolutionary France, the entire daily diet of many poor peeps was about three pounds of bread and a liter of red wine. The red wine was what stood in for fruits/veggies.

I’m having problems getting into Cuckoo

Funnily (not a word, I know) enough, the best version that I’ve heard so far is the one that luval posted this morning that is part of the Glambert cartoon video. I found myself really bopping to it (along with the cartoon characters — yeah, I know I need a life) and totally getting into it.

Glambotgram…. Yes, I totally agree about the beginning of Naked Love sounding like Bad Romance. Now that is a song that should do well on radio! Love it!!

Although I’m not going to partake in this juice “festival”, I thought I would help my good buddies out with some research. This is what I have found:

When learning how to make wine from home you will learn that among all the ingredients necessary in order to make wine the grapes carry the most vital part. This is in fact the only fruit which is balanced in each respect. It holds the correct equilibrium of sugar, yeast nutrients, acids (Malic, Tartaric, and Ascorbic etc.), water content, tannins, etc.

I love Cuckoo – better than Trespassing right now. But Chokehold is something else – that’s a sneaky one that’s gonna invade your mind.

    Thanks my darlings!

You got that right, ultimathule…about Cuckoo & Chokehold. My favorite lines in Cuckoo are “I’m cocked and I’m ready to go” and “Walk that walk like you don’t give a f**k”. Adam said it had a Strut feel to it and to me he was right!

  7. Ellessay says:

Still catching up on stuff, but I wanted to make these observations:

    1. I’m glad Adam isn’t still being compared to Lady GaGa, and being asked about working with her.

    2. I’m also glad they no longer ask him about meeting Madonna.

    3. I’m so glad he’s not hiding behind the makeup anymore. It’s a very good sign that he’s showing his freckled hands. I still love fierce Adam, dark Adam, but I’m really loving the blended Adam–happy, at peace, yet naughty and sexy.

    4. Loving the hair and the over-all look these days. Maybe because it’s more mainstream and won’t scare away potential fans. I want him to have long-term success. There is a place for the dress-up and glam, but at least he can tone it down so people will listen to the music and not just talk about the clothes.

    5. I don’t think he’d be happy just performing in a musical anymore. Maybe he’d enjoy an appearance in a show like Glee once in a while, but not as a regular thing. It’s pretty obvious he loves what he’s doing these days.

  11. Kradamour says:

Part 4: the Fab Four get UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL with Adam!

On his way off the stage, Adam does a quick little theatrical bow directed to the DJ..who is momentarily caught off guard and so amused! and this also breaks the spell for us…we snap to attention, many peeps actually giving their heads a little shake to come back to reality! We Fab Four look at each other and beam our delight without words, and then we chatter and debrief and look around to plan our next move…hmmm, there is a photo backdrop over to the left of the stage and omg Adam is there taking pictures already! and we will be able to watch him and all of the interactions while we wait our turn, this is not one of those events where each is ushered into a room and then ushered out after the photo! This could not get any better! In line, we receive our signed pictures…just gorgeous! The photo that I love, in the blue jacket, with his hair swept to the side…signed with a real signature in silver sharpie, and a perfect size to frame. Everyone in line is cheerful, animated, happy…we look at everyone and are delighted to see so many ages and stages…peeps who have come in pairs are hugging, I love this! And the line moves quickly but not too quickly…each peep actually has a minute to say a few words when the picture is taken, Adam is zen, not moving anyone along (but he never does, his “people” do that), and we are moving smoothly and then OMG it is our turn! Pictures are in pairs, and Adamized and I take our positions on each side of him and he has his arm around each of us and I mention that I was in Paris because, well, that is always very important and he had just named Paris as a great place on his tour…I think they are taking pictures but honestly that doesn’t even matter and suddenly I realize that I really want to tell Adam about our experience in Ste Agathe when Sauli walked past and we felt such positive energy coming from him, I want him to know that even total strangers could feel that! But I don’t want to intrude, so I turn just enough to make eye contact and ask him if I may say something about Sauli? He looks a little startled but says of course – I still have my hand on his back in “photo position” and his arm is around my shoulder, but turning a bit to face him, I put my other hand on his chest because it just feels more natural than leaving it loose to the side, and this should have been awkward but totally wasn’t, and I realize that yes, he is really tall! – as I look up and my eyes are at his chin level and only a few inches away! He is wearing foundation makeup, not quite the right color for RL but right for the stage, and his skin has a sheen from the heat of the lights and is roughly textured; in person, under the harsh light, the old acne scarring is obvious and I resist the urge to stroke his face, the backs of his eyes look so tired. His t-shirt is just a bit damp, he has taken off his jacket, and the muscles of his back are warm and relaxed. And I tell the story quickly and say that Adamized was there too and she confirms the story and we both beam at him and he makes positive sounds that probably translate into “WTF was that?!” and then Adamized tells him that she really, really likes him – in the most sincere and warm and matter-of-fact tone of voice, because that is who Adamized is, and Adam actually seems a bit dazed as he says “thank you” to her and we move on so that ultimathule and dcglam can take their places at Adam’s sides. Throughout, there was no pressure from the photographer peep, and no pressure from Adam, to just keep moving…the one thing I feared, because it would have broken the spell of this magical event! I look back to see our two new friends being held in the curve of Adam’s arms, and life is exceptionally good in that moment. Adamized and I move to the side of the room to wait for ultimathule and dcglam, and we stay for a while to watch the other photos, but then someone tells us we need to leave…we walk to the stairs to go up, and there are lots of radio peeps huddled in the stairwell watching Adam, all smiling and chattering, they love Adam too! And I say that 94.7 is my new favorite radio station, and someone laughs and says thank you, and then we go up the steps and the bouncer person at the top asks us if we enjoyed the show…oh, if you only knew! And we head outside into the cool evening. We hug and exclaim how glad we are to have met, and dcglam goes to her car and we go to the garage to fetch ultimathule’s car. At the payment window, adamized and I try vainly to put money into ultimathule’s hands but she is stubborn! And dollar bills are all over the place in our hands and on the counter and we are laughing and it is silly, but all is finally ironed out and we pile into the car and adamized navigates ultimathule through the jungle of DC traffic and we arrive safely at her house. Good-bye, ultimathule! It was so wonderful to meet you! Thank you for everything! Adamized and I go to our cars for our separate drives home – a half hour for her, four hours for me – and we hug and wish good night and flail one final time before we separate, each with our own thoughts as we travel in the night.

    The End.
    Heart

  12. ultimathule says:

Just perfect, Krad – you observe so much more than I did – I was just floating along – everything sorta unreal – perhaps because the venue was so dark. Adam’s height – well, standing next to my 5’1″ probably anyone looks tall, but Adam seemed like a giant to me – did I come up to his shoulder – lol?

Loooove that – “positive sounds that probably translate into ‘WTF was that?!'” So funny. You really are a terrific writer.

Thanks so much for putting this great story up – really appreciate it.

aww Kradamour, what a great recap. I can feel the excitement coming through the screen…

Glad to see BTIKM move up on vh1….especially as there were a few days where I forgot to vote, I’ll try to do better this week.

Just wanted to say that after getting to ‘know’ you all on here, I can’t imagine anyone here would behave like the SPG’s.

re Idol, I think that the nearer the end he performs then the more chance of a new song. But if he performs soon, then while BTIKM is still going up, albeit slowly then he will perform that. Personally I’m hoping for a later performance and a new song. While I love BTIKM (never get tired of it) I think Idol is a good platform for a new single, something a bit more upbeat.

Kradamour, what a wonderful recap. OMG, I could practically feel how Adam felt. I still remember my arm around his waist and his arm around me. I’m so glad you got to tell him about Paris and St Agathe.

Can I ask what you said to him about Sauli?

And, about the SPG’s and multiple M&G’s and everything. I don’t care how many times people meet him. Or obtain tickets, because honestly, even though I’ve met him, I would looorve to meet him again. Maybe it is a little selfish, but, hey, I’m a fan too.

Like it was posted above, I’ll buy M&G’s if I can, I’ll buy tickets on Stubhub, I’ll travel if I can, but, what I won’t do is behave so badly that people tweet about me, or complain about me in a blog. Heaven forbid. I wasn’t raised that way, and I simply do not understand how that kind of behavior is “fun.”

How did they feel when Adam pointed them out and said he’s seen them all over town, from town to town? That wasn’t a compliment! Do they get it?

But, then on the other hand, if I had had the time, and someone to do it with me, maybe I would have gone to a couple of gigs in Chicago too. And maybe Adam would have pointed me out. I’m trying to figure this out. I can’t complain about them and yet wish I had the same opportunities too.

This might be something we could suggest over on Adam’s fan site. I joined Scotty’s when I wanted to get the deluxe CD of his with a poster, for my Granddaughter’s birthday. I got a Happy Birthday greeting video from Scotty thru my e-mail. It was his face fairly close up with a short birthday greeting. Very nice, and can you imagine how popular that would be with Adam’s fans. He looks right at you and it really does feel like he’s talking to you. I know it’s not a personal greeting but some might not and it’s good PR.

  31. milwlovesadam says:

Jojosie, honey that’s a fantastic idea.

    TeeHeee.

Can you imagine all the calls to 911 when fans open their e-mail and find a personal message from Adam?

    “Hello, 911?”

    “Yes”

“I just found my 30 year old wife down. It seems she slid off her chair, and all I can see is this huge grin on her face, a picture of Adam Lambert on her computer screen, and it looks like she collapsed from sheer UNF-ing”

“Sir, help is on the way. We have a Glambulance just for these purposes.”

My favorite lines in Cuckoo are “I’m cocked and I’m ready to go” and “Walk that walk like you don’t give a f**k”. Adam said it had a Strut feel to it and to me he was right!

luval, Strut was one of my very favorite performances on the tour, even though it wasn’t one of my favorite songs on the CD. I just loved the coat, the drama of putting the coat on ( Smile ), and the attitude of the choreography.

So far, I haven’t heard a song from the new CD that I haven’t liked. However, I do share kradamour‘s thoughts re Trespassing … I’m hoping I like the production on the CD, as I don’t really like the acoustic performances that much. The “C’mon!” just seems a little out of place for a stool performance. Smile But I bet the final product is out of this world – it’s sure gotten good reviews!

  33. Ceddies says:

Hi, luval. I’m glad you brought this up. I too have been wondering what kind of stage presentation we would get this time. Glam Nation was so well-planned and executed IMO. I really loved the Swamp Scene entry with the what (?) was it four songs in that costume. I don’t know that we will get another theatrical show like that. I hope we do, but the songs may not lend themselves to that sort of interpretation. There was so much to talk about, bare feet, toes w/polish, feathers, laceup pants, on and on. I hope we don’t just get “street wear” that he says he’s into now such as the show from Maxidrome. Has he given any hint as to what to expect? I haven’t had time to open all the goodies as there have been so many available, so I may have missed the discussion if he said anything about it.

  34. riskylady says:

Kradamour, what a delightful recap (as always)! I had to go back and look at the fotos, and there you are, so cute with your hand poised to settle on Adam’s chest (yes, 29-year-olds can be cute) just as you described. Love the expression on his face. Somewhere between affectionate and quizzical. I wonder if he had a moment of trepidation as to what you were going to say about Sauli, knowing that he reads so much stuff from Twitter. I think it’s wonderful that you told him about Ste. Agathe. I bet no one has said anything directly to him about Sauli in that way.
It’s really wonderful that all of you from ALL in Texas, DC and Chicago attended events that were so well set up by the radio stations. To me, shows that they respect Adam and his fans, very encouraging sign.

  35. milwlovesadam says:

As far as I know ceddies, he hasn’t answered any tour questions except to say that he doesn’t know anything, no plans yet. He did make one reference to next year.

I’m hoping it’ll be a very well produced stage show. I’m thinking it’ll be bigger venues, but maybe not. It may depend on the town. Unfortunately, the 2-4,000 seat venue is the most common size, the next size up is arenas. Maybe that’s a good thing. The theaters I saw him in were perfect size, IMHO.

Maybe he won’t have coffee tables. I hope he has Terrance and Sasha. Maybe he’ll have back up singers this time.

I really don’t see him giving up all the glam. He’ll still have plenty of drama and choreography.

Watching those Jezebel vids, he still has the GN choreography in him.

All I know is, I am looking forward to it soooo much!!

Adam moment last week! My cardiologist is a (modest) Glambert!!!
(He’s a nice-looking, fit mid-fiftyish guy, just married to second younger wife.)
We were chatting about adjusting my medication, and I said I wanted to be in good shape in July for a trip. He asked where I was going, and I said “London, for a rock festival.”
Eyebrows shot up. “Who are you seeing,” he asked. “Queen,” I replied.
Right away, he said, “But, who’s singing? They don’t have anyone now, do they?”
“Adam Lambert, a guy from…..” I started, but he immediately shot back, “Oh, I know who he is. Great singer, great voice. Is he the new frontman?”
So I had to explain the whole thing, also mentioned the new album coming out. He’s not up on recent news, but said he’ll definitely hope for a CD of the Queen stuff and will check out the new CD too. Said his wife is a fan, too.
    One by one……

mils, I just went and looked at Adam’s expression in the photo when I am talking at him…definitely “WTF” if that is what you meant by “quizzical”! and I did sense a momentary bit of caution when I asked if I could say something about Sauli, but only for a split second.
I just told Adam that we had been at Ste Agathe and had been so so close when Sauli went past us to the soundbooth, and that we were so struck by the strong positive energy that he radiated, even to a stranger. I don’t know why it seemed so important to share that with him, but it did.

I guess that I feel he should receive as well as give at these events, and I wanted to give him something of a verbal gift that perhaps he would value.

  39. Ceddies says:

Oh, risky, I love that Cardiologist story of yours. Doesn’t it make you feel good that other professionals have him on their radar.

kradamour, once again you have made my night with your final chapter of the Fab4 meeting with Adam. I’m so glad you told him the way we all felt about Sauli’s presence. Perhaps he did have a moment’s hesitation because he wants to keep that part of his life private, but you weren’t asking him to discuss it—you just gave him a bit of information that I would think he would value—and maybe even moreso because you weren’t asking for a reciprocal comment from him.

mils, thanks for that info about the comment that Adam made about a possible tour. I guess they have to see how the album will perform before promising a tour.

What a beautiful recap. I didn’t realize that I was holding my breath as I read it…Thank you so much for the complete sharing you did. I could close my eyes and picture it.

When I did the M&G in DesMoines I had the same feeling as you. I wanted to give him something back also. He had been quoted so many times saying he was not political. That he was a singer who happened to be gay. What I wanted him to “see” was it went further than that. Yes he was a singer first and foremost. But every time he talked about being gay, being comfortable with it and not expressing anything negative, I wanted him to know he was saving lives. That part came along with what he was doing wether he wanted or not. That there were young boys and girls watching him and maybe deciding that if Adam can be so brave and courageous that maybe there was something they had to live for. I told him that all the pushing and work done by my generation (Anita Bryant era) made it possible for Adam to be where he was. And now the baton was being passed to him. So all he had to do was be himself and sing. But understand that more was happening. We ended with a big bear hug. I cried when later (and I don’t remember how much later) he did the “It Gets Better” video. He understood. I was so proud of him at that moment. He’s grown into his skin and it’s fitting him perfectly.

I won’t be able to join you in your fast this weekend as I will be on the road to Santa Fe. I think I will do the wine juicing instead. Then I’ll come back home, feet on the ground and do it the right way. I look forward to your reports on how it goes.
