After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

Just want to say how much I love being able to connect a face with two more of the names on this blog!

  2. HK fan says:

Thanks for the recaps Teri and glamberthaf. I love reading everyones experiences of seeing Adam in such intimate settings and actually getting to hug him. Did you both go to the same ‘show’, just asking because I’ve been trying to work out on the coke pictures if I could work out who was who, wasn’t having much luck though, there seemed to be at least 6 ‘mother and daughters’. I loved the videos from that promo, he was so relaxed and comfy, and sounded so good. Poor old Tommy though, he looked a bit odd being sat on a chair so much lower than Adams, that happened the other day too.

The pics of Riff walking are so sweet, he really is a cutie.

  3. dcglam says:

Well, leap of the week on VH1 — from #15-#11. We are making progress — slowly, but surely! Wink

For me it is three, and I so agree!! Big Smile

    Hello,

My prediction for VH1 (I didn’t post it) was to #10 or dropping. Great for #11.

Been doing thinking about the SPG thing. I want to say loud and proud that I am a Professional Glambert. (note I did not say “S”PG). I did go and will go to as many shows as I can on the tour. I will buy magazines…btw can’t figure out how to buy Dorian…do I click “world” or “Swedish”? Buy jewelery I may not wear only if part of the funds go to an Adam related charity. Not going to buy the key pendant. Already have one. I will purchase multiple copies of Trespassing mostly to gift to friends. Will buy meet & greets. Paris had too many negatives (Lane & Neil). Cost-wise my prediction will be at least $250.00 next time around. I want to bring or gift these again to friends who tell me right now they would love to meet him. I will buy overpriced stubhub tickets if that’s all I can find.

What I will NOT do is be rude to fellow concert goers. In fact I love meeting or sitting next to Adam concert virgins. So much fun to talk and flail with them. I will not do any of the things I witnessed on the last tour by those people. Adam will not even know I exist!

Anyway, just wanted to get this off my chest.

It was almost hilarious watching Jim Shearer and his co-host fumbling around trying to explain the concept behind the BTIKM video this morning. They had no clue.
The bad Adam starts a fire, the good Adam wins out in the end, yada, yada, yada.
You know Adam’s “famous” line, “It ain’t that deep.” Well, this video may just be “that deep” because I feel that most of the general music video watchers out there really don’t get it.

  8. glambotgram says:

luval Love your post and I think it describes most of us here. At least what most of us would love to be able to do. I buy his music and have been to one Glamnation show, and just recently bought the silver key and have pre-ordered 3 Trespassing CD’s, to gift, and have given to charity water and donor’s choose. I won’t be buying a meet and greet, it is just not within my means to do so and neither is traveling vast distances to see him. So I will flail here and see him when he comes close, and watch a lot of youtube!
But would also never be so pushy, but if I ever ran into an SPG I might push back. Laugh

  9. dcglam says:

This is great, luval. Cuckoo is such a fun song and should become a smash of a radio hit as well! Fingers Crossed

  10. luval says:

    You are funny glambotgram!

dcglam…was just about to post the same thing you did about VH1. I had it dvr’d and just played it back. That girl was clueless! Adam has to correct good & bad constantly. It’s Dark & Light people! Big difference. Obviously Jim Shearer knew nothing either. He should just have him on, interview Adam and get it straight.

At least they called it “the leap of the week”. Nice. But I so want it to be in the top 10. He must get top 10 something! Am gonna remind every day to vote. Right dcglam?

Tiny Adam moment. Went out to breakfast today at a place where the cook sings out loud while he’s making your eggs. He’s noted a bit around my area. Anyway I said to him “can I make a request?” He said “sure, what would you like to hear?” I said “anything by Adam Lambert”. He says “Adam Lambert? Oh, I only do songs from the 60’s & 70’s.” But he knew who he was and other patrons smiled… one even said to me that they liked him.

eta: btw checked on Kiss 108 tickets for May. Done by Live Nation. They have several prices. If you want VIP…there is one central section, 11 rows from the front…$526.00!

  11. dcglam says:

Funny thing about the Kiss 108 event…
My daughter and I already have plans to be in Boston for a baby shower on May 19. I’ll need to find out more information as to when Adam is actually performing to see if we could work this out while in town. We are flying in the Friday before and plan to leave on Sunday.

  12. Kradamour says:

We are flying in the Friday before and plan to leave on Sunday.

That sounds entirely too firmly-planned, dcglam. An Adam fan needs to maintain a more flexible schedule! Smile You never know when something could pop up on the radar at the last minute!

  13. Teri63 says:

Love your post, Luval. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with being an involved, fun-loving Adam fan. The vast majority of the fans I saw at yesterday’s LiteFM event were just that: excited, happy, enthusiastic and respectful. There were just a few people who made my son and I uncomfortable by approaching us and trying to get information about the time/place of the event and one who really crossed the line by literally following us after we told her they hadn’t told us much. She wanted to know what floor it was going to be on, the time we were checking in, etc. We had no idea ourselves anything beyond the time we were supposed to check in. Maybe because we were so vague in our answers to her, she thought we had some hidden knowledge/agenda or that we were told to go somewhere and by following she might get to see something or get in, too? Who knows, but really we were just walking around killing time before check-in and, once she started showing up everywhere we went, trying to get away from her! The fact that she refused to read the “stay away from us, we want to be left alone” vibes we were blatantly casting her way and at one point literally followed us into a store, creeped us out big time.

Politely asking for information about show-up time or whatever is fine, but not accepting our answer and trying to probe further is just plain rude, and actually trying to find out what floor the event is going to be on sends off crazy stalker red flags. Our viewpoint was that any information that had been given to my son was because he was a winner of the event, and we both felt it would be disrespecting the radio station that had afforded this opportunity and Adam whose safety we all deem important to give any info. out to complete strangers. Literally, all we knew was that we were supposed to check in at 11:30, but we just didn’t feel right telling anything to people we’ve never seen before in our lives. Also, there were security people manning the lobby desk. We saw multiple people, including the scary lady, approaching them, and we felt it was up to them to divulge any info. they wanted shared, not us.

Anyway, the day overall was awesome. I was just perusing all the fun photos and am so happy my son and I had this opportunity. I hope all of Adam’s fans get a chance at something like this!

  14. dcglam says:

Haha — So true, Krad! I think that the festival/concert is scheduled for May 19, though.Question

  15. luval says:

dcglam…That’s a big problem with these concerts…I remember when we watched a couple of livestreams here that we didn’t know until the last minute the lineup at the shows even though I’m sure the radio station knew. We could not plan our day! Interesting this is not a general admission concert, except of course the lawn seating.

Teri63…you and your son sound like you were on an episode of The Amazing Race! There the participants try to be nice to people but at some point have to distance themselves somehow to get ahead in the game. Not sure what you or any of us can do in the future but we’ll have to think of a “stock answer” that will cover all bases. Maybe “get the hell out of my face”! Smile

  16. Teri63 says:

LOL, Luval! I’ve been thinking about it, and if I were to do yesterday over again, I’d be more assertive in my answers. If I had just said, “Sorry, but I don’t feel comfortable sharing this information with you,” the probers would have thought I was a b****, but they probably would have left us alone. I guess, in the back of my mind, because I spend time on this blog and some at MJs, I never know when I’m meeting someone with whom I chat and like “on paper.” Those of you with whom I visit here I wouldn’t want to offend, so I was really awkward at telling people whose faces I didn’t know but kind of worried that maybe I did “know” in blog-land that I wasn’t comfortable talking to them about the details.

  17. luval says:

Teri63…You’re right about the “offending someone you might know”. Have you ever had someone cut you off on the road, swear at them, maybe give them the finger (remember I’m talking about me here lol.), then find out it’s a neighbor or co-worker? AWKWARD!!!

I still like Cuckoo a bit more than Trespassing. Wish he’d do an acoustic Cuckoo at one of these radio gigs, then I could make my final decision!

  18. luval says:

nice interview…he giggles & makes funny faces at the end

    http://adamlamberttv.blogspot.com/2012/03/adam-lambert-on-entertainment-now-march.html

  19. Kradamour says:

I think that Trespassing doesn’t really lend itself well to these acoustic gigs…it almost seems a little bit awkward when Adam is bouncing around on that stool saying “come on!”…maybe if it is true that they are “that close!” to picking a second single, he will segue into that for coming gigs.

  20. luval says:

Kradamour…you are right! Probably saying “Cuckoo” on that stool would be too! LOL! But I can hear a packed club full of people shouting “Cuckoo”, however. Chokehold might work acoustically.

Wonder why he doesn’t stand when singing Trespassing at these gigs? Maybe there’s some kind of a guideline that entertainers can’t stand at the mic or else it’s considered a “concert” vs a radio promotion? hmmmm. Just spitting out nothings here. Smile

I think this song is totally radio friendly and would sound great…I really think out of all the songs I have heard yet from the new album, this one is a sure shot…But that’s just me. I also loved BTIKM from the first time I heard it and still love it…

Also thanks for the link to the Entertainment Now Video…Very good and of course his giggles and faces he make is always a bonus….Adam is so down to earth and humble, and it seems to really surprise alot of people….

I want to say loud and proud that I am a Professional Glambert.

I so agree with all that you said. I think the difference between a PG and SPG is the PG’s behave in a generous manner. I know the ones I’ve met have been so gracious, friendly, caring and excited to see Adam. My commitment has always been to do everything possible for him to succeed. As far as my budget will take me. If it means M&Gs, albums (and I plan on gifting many of them this time), jewelry, magazines, and concert tickets. And anything else that might come up. This desire comes not only from appreciating the man’s voice, his looks, his character but more strongly it comes from the fact that he’s the first gay man to try and break the mold. That I support completely. People who are courageous and stick their necks out start changing the world. But they can’t do it without support.

I love everything we have heard from the new elusive, can’t get my hands on it quick enough, album!
I really think the production on Cuckoo and Trespassing is going to make a big difference. Hearing them acoustic and with the band with no tracks just feels different.
OOL – I have loved this from the first seconds into it at Ste Agathe. It still brings me to tears.
BTIKM – It got stuck in my head after the second listen to the demo. When the single was released, I loved it!
Trespassing – I love Adam’s enthusiasm for this, and I think the lyrics are great. I can’t wait to hear the album version.
Cuckoo – Love it, love it. Also, wanting that album track!
Chokehold – OMG! It has a chokehold on me! I love the sexy vibe!
Naked Love – I love what I’ve heard, but the song is just warming up when the clip cuts off. I need more!
Never Close Our Eyes – The Bruno demo – I love it too. I can’t wait for Adam’s vocals on this one, it should kill!

    So now we wait…and wait…

Thankfully we have these promo events to keep us occupied. It’s almost too much to keep up with!

  29. luval says:

Qweerty in their interview with Adam mentions they like a song named “Myself” although OOL will probably resonate more with the community (paraphrasing). This another song on the album?

  33. luval says:

Ultimathule…I read that too about “Myself” but I think they were referring to Better Than I Know Myself and just shortened it. But I thought the same as you for a moment!

  34. ultimathule says:

And a merry St. Pat’s day to all. Being of mainly Irish heritage I particularly enjoy this day – been to Ireland many times – great place to just relax and enjoy.

Been reading the great re-caps – so much fun to hear other fans’ experiences. Teri – you and your son should have split up and gone in different directions – it would’ve been fun to watch the nutso look confused.

Yes, Krad, it’s terrific putting faces to names – I went from zero to three! Hope to add more in the future.

Been doing thinking about the SPG thing. I want to say loud and proud that I am a Professional Glambert. (note I did not say “S”PG). I did go and will go to as many shows as I can on the tour.

If I had the money, I would be at every show I could get to. But the flip side is my problem. My husband got laid off the year of the tour, so I wasn’t sure I could afford to go. My daughters and granddaughter offered to go with me, so I knew we could share expenses. The big problem was getting tickets. They were selling out so fast and I would be at work when they started selling, I was afraid I wouldn’t get a ticket. It really bugged me that everyone was posting about seeing multiple concerts and I just wanted to see ONE.

My daughter stayed by the computer to buy a ticket just as soon as they opened up, and unfortunately our party had grown to six, and you could only buy three tickets at a time. In the time between buying the first set and then trying for the second, both groups sat pretty far apart, one on the lower level, the other on the upper.

I was so grateful to go, even though our seats were so far back that he was just a small figure in the distance moving around on stage. But I was there! Got to hear him in person.

Fast forward to now. I’m reading about my “friends” here trying so hard to win tickets to go to one of the promos, and to hear the same SPG are getting in to multiple venues just aggravates me. I know if Adam makes it to Central Florida, I’m hoping to talk my daughter into sitting by the radio and calling in for me. If I heard one or more of the winners had been to several already the last couple of months, I would beyond angry. On the other hand, I would go to as many as I could get into also. Yes, I’m conflicted. I just need to see Adam. I could live with just one venue.

I can’t believe there were winners who didn’t show up to one of the venues. If he came here and I couldn’t win a ticket, I think I’ll still go hang around the radio station…just in case!

  36. ultimathule says:

Thanks, luval – that makes sense.

  37. ultimathule says:

Debuting a new single on Idol, glambotgram ?

I had a mental image of Adam rolling his eyes at Bad Adam and Good Adam. I wonder if they will have him on to explain his video. Was hoping for top ten this morning, but I’ll take #11.

Ellessay, I totally get what you are saying.
If I had been fortunate enough to win more than one radio M&G, I honestly don’t think I would have attended more than the one. There are so many that wish to meet him that have not had that opportunity, and it would mean the world to them.
After seeing him though, the addiction is in full force, I want more!

  44. luval says:

nkd…I totally agree about the addiction. If I won more than one I would definitely go but stay in the background. I’d run out before the photos! Just being in the same room with His Highness for a short period of time is enough for me.

luval I’m glad you like them too, but I only named 7. You need to go back to counting school! Maybe take in some Sesame Street! Wink Grin

  46. Ellessay says:

Just to clarify–I was only talking about the SPG’s who talk like they are entitled. I never minded people like suz526 who shared her good fortune in being able to attend multiple concerts by recording videos for the fans who didn’t have the opportunity to go. I can’t think of a more humble fan, who really deserved to be entitled to some special privileges.

I really appreciated her videos from the concert I attended since I sat so far away and had children standing on the seats in front of me, blocking my view most of the time and preventing me from taking pictures or recording video. Even if I had a good view, I don’t know if I would have had presence of mind to video anyway. But it’s nice to relive my experience through her videos.

Cuckoo is such a fun song and should become a smash of a radio hit as well!

I’m having problems getting into Cuckoo, but maybe it’s because I’ve not heard a good clear version yet. I’m hoping some of the links here will take me to a better recording. I’ve been listening to the three from Jezebel, and my favorite is Trespassing. That’s the song that really stays with me. I love Chokehold too. Can’t wait for the album. I’m anxious to see which song he sings on Idol. I think it will be BTIKM because it should have worked it’s way up to #1 by then. (Ever optomistic!)

  48. nkd says:

Ellessay, I agree. I don’t think any of us begrudge anyone attending as many concerts as they can manage. I just don’t want to see the same faces on the front row all the time.
It’s good for Adam to see a familiar face or two at the concerts, but not the same ones at every show.

And concerts are different than radio promo. Showing up for too many promo events is not cool. Maybe a second one, I can see that!

  49. luval says:

nkd…You are right…I counted Cuckoo & Trespassing that you mentioned in the second sentence but they are in your list below that! No Sesame Street for me. I prefer the corner with my 1-2-3 & A-B-C books.!

  50. Ceddies says:

Same here. Hopefully it will grow on me. His songs always do; some more than others, though.
