After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to ~~an undetermined time~~ later this spring. ~~I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.~~

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Happy birthday! My dad, who is a big Adam fan, turned 80 last Sept.

My husband of 40 years (in June)had a temper tantrum yesterday. Caught me following links and wanted to know if I was in love with Adam or something, and did I dream about him at night. Made me feel like I had been caught cheating on him. Probably had something to do with the smile on my face.

I would feel like there was something wrong with me (and my obsession) if it wasn’t for the people here. There is just something about Adam’s voice, whether singing or just talking, that captivates me. I’m glad I’m not alone.

I reflected on my teenage crushes since the death of Davy Jones, and don’t believe I’ve never felt this way about an artist. Maybe it’s just the availability of the internet bringing us so many goodies. I swear, if I wasn’t married, I’d have printed out many of the pictures and have them on the wall.

I guess I feel like I did about the Beatles. Loved the music, loved the voices, speaking or singing. And you just knew they’d be great.

Loved your post Ellessay. It touched some of the things I have been feeling.

Just re-watched my own vid and noticed that at the very end, Adam does in fact introduce Tommy, just before it cuts off. Wonder if other vids stop just before the final introduction?
We have been thinking that Adam is not introducing his guitarist on this promo tour, but perhaps he has.

Speaking of the Beatles-I recently bought a DVD documentary that compiled the early days of the Beatles, with rare interviews, newsreels, press conferences and TV appearances.

The press wasn’t any better back then. Almost every interview started out about the hair–will they cut it, how did they decide to wear it like that, etc. Stupid questions repeated over and over again. TV shows having them do some pretty stupid things which reminded me of the “Help me put on eye makeup” stuff Adam had to go through. Nothing about the music.

Thanks Rainbowgal. I’ve been emphasizing the GAY since I first started obsessing. “Don’t worry Honey, he’s gay.” (like a young straight guy would be hankering over my 57 year old chunky body) I’m just grateful my husband can still get jealous.

I think part of the problem is that my “boyfriend” before I met my husband was gay, although I didn’t know it at the time. We had so much fun together and loved much of the same things, especially music and dance. Ed and I remained friends after I met my husband, who was jealous of Ed and my affection for him.

After Ed came to terms with who he was, he left his family (his father did not like having a gay son), and moved out west. He eventually died from aids-related complications about twelve years ago. Sigh…nice memories of our time together.

I have almost completely stopped talking about Adam in RL. If anyone asks, I just say that he has a single out, and his CD is expected in the next couple of months. For people I know are fans, I direct them to You Tube or to Vevo to listen.

We had more fun, saw more plays and musicals, movies, talked all night, went to clubs, just thoroughly enjoyed each other. He came out after college, but, I always knew. Mils, don’t wait. I knew what was going on with Ed because his sister was friends with my sister, and I always asked about him. I knew he had gotten sick and I decided to write to him and let him know just how much he meant to me at that time of my life and how many times I’ve thought of him since. In my mind, he was always “the one who got away” although in reality I know it was just never meant to be. By the time I tried to chase down his mailing address, I was too late, he was already gone. I’ve always regretted not telling him that I loved him for the wonderful person he was.

But…not long after his death I had a beautiful dream about him. We sat at a table drinking coffee and had the most wonderful conversation. Then he took me for a drive to show me what it was like on the other side. It brought me closure and made me feel that even though I never said the words on this side, he knows exactly how I feel about him.

About AI judges praising Joshua, I have been thinking…It is a TV show with ratings that are dropping and fierce competition from rival shows, of course they are gong to try and pump up this season’s competitors and show them to be the best. And JLo and Steven only have last year to compare them to.

Randy did experience Adam and loved him from the audition, but could you imagine him saying something like: That was very good _________, but I am afraid that it still doesn’t compare to the ground breaking performances of the great Adam Lambert of Season 8 who broke Idol forever, and we still haven’t been able to pick up the pieces. He paved the way for all of you who came after him, but none of you holds a candle to him. Sorry.

I got up early today to walk on my new treadmill, and find myself here for a second. Ellesay, what a wonderful response to my post. Thank you. I feel more sure that I will look up my old friend. I’ve been thinking about him a lot lately. I found some old pictures of us dressed up for various parties and places we went back then. Gold body paint and pink shorts and a huge boa on him with a top hat. And that was just to go see Rocky Horror on a Saturday night!!

I really enjoy them because you are telling us what you had felt, what was on your mind during thouse minutes, what your body felt when he came into that room to talk, sing and make fun. That’s a really good way to expalin it cz it makes us feel like we were there and probably would have felt the same.Can’t wait for the next one!

Please do look up your friend. My experience has lived in my heart for 40 years. I knew a young talented man who taught piano. He composed music and was in demand for weddings for the well-to-do who wanted new music for their ceremonies. At get togethers and parties when he played you were transported to another world. He had a good soul and it came though his music. He left town for Texas. His family was not accepting. And I lost touch. This was at the very beginning of Aids. Years later a woman who worked with the local Aids patients brought the Names Quilt to town. My partner and I volunteered to be on the floor to help anyone who might need help. As we were given the tour of squares people might like to see we were taken to Leonard Matlovich’s square (first military man to die of Aids). Below his was the square for my friend. It took my breath away. That beautiful music was gone and so was the soul of such gentle man. Before the day was done I found squares for 10 other people I had known. So mils look up your friend, he will be so happy to hear from you. Your humor might be just what he needs.

Ellessay I understand what a hole you have when you don’t get to say that good bye. I’m happy that you had a dream that put you at ease. I really think his spirit contacted you in that dream. Those spirits are kinda funny that way. Thank you for sharing that part of your life. It really touched mine.

On another note, I am so incredibly relieved at the verdict in the Tyler Clementi case. I sincerely hope he gets the maximum sentence too. What he did was so cruel and hateful. As a parent of a seventeen and twenty year old, I know that they are taught about bullying, respect, and proper internet usage from the time kids his age were in kindergarten. There is no excuse for his conduct. Yes, college kids do really dumb and stupid crap, but this was just cruel. And planned out.

They should throw the book at him. And use this story to teach kids that there are consequences for hate and insensitivity toward others.

I just hope that this story and verdict lasts longer in the news than the story about Desperate Housewives. It’s so pathetic. It’ll be gone in two days or less. Then it will be all Kardashian’s butt/boobs and Snooki’s baby.

I just hope that the Trevor Project can do something with this tragedy and help educate more kids.

OMG, what a day! My son and I had a GREAT time seeing Adam at the CocaCola Lounge. Adam was awesome, cute and funny as always, but it was pinch-me amazing to see it up close and personal. My son had a great time, too. Then, as if the day weren’t amazing enough as it was, we walked around the Loop and wound up seeing Obama exiting a meeting at the Palmer House Hotel (we’re both strong Democrats and Obama supporters) and had a late lunch/early dinner at an Irish Pub, where we were entertained by strolling bag-pipers. Really, can a day get any better?!!!!
