After a very busy and promo-filled month of February (during which Adam also took time out to attend the Elton John pre-Oscar party pictured above), March figures to be busy as well for Adam and his fans, as he should continue promo efforts for the lead single “Better Than I know Myself” and his upcoming album “Trespassing”. Adam may take some time to put last minute touches on some of the late addition album tracks as well. The album release date, which was previously set for March 20th, has been pushed back to an undetermined time later this spring. I’m guessing sometime in April or early May, but we will see.

Update – on March 23rd, Adam confirmed that the release date for Trespassing will be May 15th!

Enjoy the chat!

I think the best on Idol last night were Josh and Hollie. Colton made me interested in a song I had never heard of.

Can’t really say anything good about the rest. Can not take Diondre at all.

Now would I buy Josh’s music, No. Probably would not buy Hollies either. And my favorites next week will be whoever does the best next week, lol

I have seen that Vanilla Ice comment several places. Soo if you wear black pants, a white shirt and a loose fitting black vest, you are channeling a group from the early 90’s? Give me a break.

    Cake Jojosie Cake Happy Birthday.

I don’t like the idea of trying to manipulate the votes based on something that has no connection with how they sing. jmo

Perfectly said!! I fast forward through so much of that show any more. They are losing their dignity.

  3. eywflyer says:

I have drifted back to pre-Adam indifference regarding Idol, haven’t watched any of this season at all. I get the sense that the conservative/religious folks who tend to vote for the innocuous WGWGs and country singers are making up an ever larger proportion of a slowly shrinking audience. I think a lot of the folks who want to see edgier artists win have given up at this point. After all, if Adam who was the most talented vocalist ever on Idol couldn’t overcome the WGWG trend, who else would ever be able to?

  4. Teri63 says:

OMFG, my son was called today to say he won two tickets to see Adam at LiteFM/Chicago tomorrow, and I’m the lucky “plus-one.” I’m still in a daze after getting this news at work (just when the kids were coming into school when I couldn’t exactly scream, even though I totally wanted to!). We’ve mapped out plan out to take the train downtown, have a leisurely breakfast (yeah, like I’m gonna feel leisurely, considering I’ve never met Adam before), then trek over to the venue on Michigan Ave. My outfit is in the washer, and I’m about to paint the newly chewed nails. This is so unreal!

eywflyer evidently you did not see Kris’s tweet Evil Grin

I have been looking all over for the 45 minute quote also.

Although I do have to say and can’t see Adam wearing any of Tommy’s clothes.

Maybe not, but it is still nice to receive recognition from a big name in the fashion industry.

Congratulations, Teri63!! I am beaming right now for you. Jump

One thing, once you can breathe a little is think of a good question. He’s really tired of the “stock” ones. If you need help just ask!!

CONGRATS to you and your son. Star Star

I totally missed the Tommy Hilfiger stuff, we are having bad storms here and the satellite was out for about 1/2 hour.

  13. milwlovesadam says:

    Congrats to the Chicago winners!

Not me, oh well. I guess I’ve had my chance, but my lovely ticket buyer hasn’t yet. I was really hoping for a win for her in Chicago.

I’m not technically juice fasting. I’m using the juice as part of my Weight Watchers plan. I am very low carb, high protein, and one or two juices a day.

    My breakfast juice is:

One sweet potato, two carrots and an apple with a piece of ginger. It’s unbelievably good. So I have that with some EggBeaters on the side. No bread. So filling. Lasts me until lunch at work.

I tried to make V8 juice and nearly got sick from the taste. I cannot do kale. I have tried. YUCK!!!

If I make a drink with veggies, it’s celery, spinach, or cucumbers that work the best. But, you need an apple or a pear to make it palatable. Beets are great, but high in sugar.

I think I could try a one or two day fast in the near future after this kick start. But, not on work days. That would be way too hard and might make me feel sick.

I don’t know how in the heck Adam filmed his BTIKM video while juice fasting. He’s a super-hero to me now.

Paul West Marketing, Publishing (PASSPORt Magazine) @adamlambert so nice meeting you tonight at Elmo #nyc. Hope to tell you more about @aliforneycenter. Congrats on the new album loved it!

  15. Teri63 says:

Thanks, everyone, for your congrats, and YES, rainbowgal, I’d love some suggestions. I’d actually come up with a couple over the past two weeks, but then I heard them asked at other radio events, so now I’m at a loss! What’ve you got?!

  16. milwlovesadam says:

Loved the Adam pop up on Idol tonight. I loved that Colton wore Adam’s vest, I liked his performance too. And, although Phillip is a WGWG, I really like him.

Overall, I think this is the best group of kids since our season. There is some real talent, and so far, the judges are actually giving constructive feedback. It does seem like they have been told to be better judges. Not a “dawg” yet out of Randy. And Steven is giving advice. There’s hope for Idol yet.

  17. TexasWannaHoldEm says:

Teri63, congratulations on your (and your son’s!) big win!!! As many of us have described the experience, it is surreal. I remember how I always stopped breathing when Adam appeared at the top of the little staircase at the beginning of GNT … kind of the same feeling when he walks into the radio promo event, all sweet, natural and fresh-faced. No matter what he’s wearing or where he is, he’s always breathtaking!

Jojosie, hope you’re having a fabulous birthday with family, friends and lots of cake, ice cream and presents!!! Party Cake Present Heart

Thanks so much for the information. As soon as I kick this cold I’m going to try a 3 day. Good thing I work from home. That should make it easier.
Right now I’m trying to find something to help with my sore throat!!

I’m so sorry you didn’t win tickets. You are one of his bestest fans!!

  19. milwlovesadam says:

Teri you could ask how it felt not to win on Idol? Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk.

Or, wait, I’ve got it. You could ask him which brand of eyeliner he wears.

Or, you could ask him what it was like to come out on Rolling Stone.

Or, you could just fangirl and squeeze the sh*t out of him.

Or, you could ask him who he wants to duet with.

Oooh. I know. Give him my breakfast juice recipe. That’ll get his attention. Maybe.

Question: Since his voice is his “product” what does he do to protect it??

What’s the first thing that goes into his suitcase when he hits the road?

Maybe something could be said along the lines of how grateful we are to him. Met new people, traveled to places we’ve never been, mastered twitter, facebook and you could thank him for his contribution. (I don’t know if this is cheesy! But I am grateful to him because I get to celebrate with you and before this we never knew one another. I value you that greatly,)

How does he feel being a goddad?

Hope these help. If anything to get you thinking of your own. Better have a couple because I think anyone who attends are scraping the barrel for new questions. Especially after this week.

  23. Teri63 says:

Mils, yeah, those are original… LOL! The fan-girling and squeezing the sh*t out of him sound awesome, but I’m afraid physical contact might cause a heart attack! Luckily, I’ll be with my son who’s nearly as at ease as Adam when it comes to conversation. I’m counting on him to do the talking!

Thanks, mils, I have my cup right here with me and bed is not far away. I have to paint tomorrow. I think I might be propped up on the ladder. Frown Frown Sometimes being your own boss is the pitts!!

  26. Teri63 says:

Rainbowgal- I particularly like the second question (what’s the first thing he packs). I’m pretty sure I’ve never heard that one before. Along those lines (see, you’ve sparked me!), I wonder if he even bothers to unpack! I only travel four or five times a year, and I keep a suitcase partially ready-to-go. If I were him, I’d have an entire set of everything totally set for travel.

Somewhat late to the party, but I just wanted to say CONGRATS to all those who either had Adam encounters, or will have Adam encounters in the near future Grin Please keep sharing the experiences with the rest of us mere mortals!!!

Kradamour, I am really enjoying your recaps! Keep them coming!! You should consider writing a book; you have an eye for detail and a compelling style of writing…both of which make for great story telling.

  30. Kradamour says:

Part 3: the FabFour are IN THE HOUSE!

Everyone is so excited! But it isn’t a frantic excited, it seems to be just a lot of eagerly moving molecules in each body giving us an element of personal electricity! No one is pushy, everyone is sharing the love…I have never experienced this at any Adam concert. Usually, the jockeying for position is ridiculous and sometimes cruel. But peeps are checking to see that they don’t block anyone’s view, the peep in front of me has assured me that her camera will not get in my view (I think she was from TALC), no one is frantic. You can almost feel the communal sigh of happiness!

Very soon, the DJ comes out. Young, adorable, funny. He does the right thing and asks us what to ask Adam. We totally love him and we want to help him get a great interview. When the new album will come out? “NOOOOOOOOOOO!”, we reply. Someone shouts out “maypril”. After a couple of questions that were intended to warm up the crowd (but we are already blazing hot!), the DJ gets the idea that we know everything there is to know. He asks who has seen Adam before…lots of hands! But we don’t mind the banality of this, it is all in good fun and coming from a good place, as Adam would say. And the DJ is cute enough and funny enough that we don’t mind waiting for Adam…we are happy, and we are willing to wait and make the event last longer…when suddenly OMG there is Adam striding out from backstage! And Tommy, looking adorably detached and uninterested – but a wry little smile and a glance up at us from under his lashes let us know that he is just tired. Adam sits down on the stool and do we want to hear a song? Honestly, we don’t care. We just want to bask in your presence, Adam! As long as you are here, you can do anything at all and we will love it! You can even just sit there and look at us and be gorgeous and we will happily stare at you for as long as you will stay…
…and suddenly I realize that I could record this. The railing is just the right height to prop my camera. I am right in front of Adam. I could record and watch him at the same time, because the railing would steady my arm for the camera and I could ignore it until the end…so torn! I am not good with my camera. I have never really learned how to use it. I didn’t set it for high resolution and don’t have time to do that now. Wasn’t planning to video, but this is just such an awesome opportunity! But I don’t want to waste even one precious second out of the moment, I want to concentrate on Adam and experience it totally…so with only a second to decide, I turn on the camera, and zoom it just enough to still have both Adam and Tommy in the frame, and hit record…with a quick prayer that this will actually work! And promise myself that I won’t be disappointed if it doesn’t turn out, and that I will just enjoy Adam and be totally engaged, and ignore the camera until I turn it off. And that is exactly what I did.

BTIKM is ethereal. So beautiful in person and acoustic. You have seen the vids but I sometimes wonder if it is possible for a mere recording to pick up all the fine nuance of Adam’s voice…any recording, not just ours. Live, that voice just works its way into your very soul. I want so badly for everyone to have that experience one day.

The interview portion is funny and wry and Adam. It is on the vids. I couldn’t help but feel that he has totally come to terms with the idea that the glamberts are an integral part of his life and there is nothing he can do about it. He talks to us as he would talk to a friend in the room with him…”so this is the coat that I wore in the video” “Yes, we know!” followed by his wry smile…he is definitely liking the DJ, and the interaction is spontaneous and friendly…we are thinking that we have smoothed things very well, keeping the DJ from asking stupid questions…we have your back, Adam! We saved you from tedious questions!

Adam has wonderful comic timing and uses expressions and body language to such great effect. The retort to his twitter feed being like the national debt is quick and spunky and catches us off guard and we LOVE it!

We roar with affection and amusement when he chastises us for our tweets…”I’m not stupid, I know what you all are doin’…” and it is so affectionate and arch…so wonderful that he talks to US in the interview, turning from the interviewer to address us directly. OMG can we love this man even more than we already do…?

And we are shocked – in a good way! – when Adam suddenly makes fun of Tommy losing his passport…it makes us feel conspiratorial and part of the family to be privy to the ribbing…and it is okay because we love Tommy and love that he is being acknowledged by Adam and brought into the interview…

Oh, no, another song! This means that the end is near! WWFM, perhaps my least favorite Adam songs…but live, in this little venue, we need to treasure every remaining second and love this song, even if we have never loved it before. We are quiet and respectful and adoring. We want everything from him and right now he is providing all that we need. The last notes die away and we suddenly realize that the DJ is announcing the end of the event…that Adam will take pictures with each of us, and that he has signed a photo for each of us. A hundred signatures…we are grateful and happy. The signed photo distracts us momentarily from the fact that the event is ending…but there is still a photo to be taken with Adam, we will actually touch him and he us…

    End of part III
    To be continued…

Haven’t had a chance to catch up on the blog yet. I was curious about Adam and the 45 minutes, so I googled it. Smile

Anyway, in following links, I found ths site. It might have been posted before, but I don’t remember seeing it. http://requestadamlambert.com/stations-playing/

My local radio station was listed so I clicked on the mediabase link which took me to a page full of artists and songs, which allowed me five choices. Only two Adam songs were listed, although there was a place to add additional songs if they weren’t listed. It made it easy to submit the request for the station to play BTIKM. I had tried before on their website, and found it impossible to find a place to request his song online.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. As you know turning 80 is a large milestone. I’ve hated to say the word at times but I ran into a great saying. “Don’t complain about growing old, as it’s a privilege that some don’t get”. This makes you very appreciative to be that old, no major medical issues, walking and talking and with a good mine. The 29 yr olds I eat lunch with on my 3 working days even gave me a party yesterday noon, had lunch today at Red Lobster (ate too many coconut shrimp). Lots of phone calls and cards from family and friends so it was a good day. I expect an office full of balloons and streamer tomorrow at work. Party at the Casino Sunday to top it off. I decided it was a good birthday to celebrate. So happy to have some one going to the Chicago show, congratulations Glamberthaf28. About Idol this year my favorites all showed as safe on Dial Idol and it’s seldom wrong. Thanks again for your birthday wishes.
