Yawn! took off most of the day today…not only am I exhausted, but my mother had to go to the ER yesterday while I was in DC, it was totally a miracle that my son is home from college on break AND my sister is visiting from away, so all is being well taken care of but that was stressful. Surgery in her future but no worries for now. Gonna go in and teach one class.
But it is a good exhaustion! Just watched the TALC vid, loving the closeup version! (Mine is a full screen with Tommy. It did work! I’ll upload it later.)
(cher, it was a puny 400 mile round trip. Not even. Maine is 700 miles each way and it is an easy day’s drive. Pffft!

Here’s my take, rainbowgal: Adam has way more 29-year-old fans than other singers, and a lot of us 29-year-olds have more time and money to devote to being groupies than the usual teenage-early 20s fans.

Plus this 29 ish fan is much more picky on who I spend my dollars on. Must get back a fair return and with Adam I get back more than that. Also I only go for the voice. Won’t waste my money on auto tune or lipsynching (sp). Not as fickle as a teenager. Also I think those of us 29 ish fans are more respectful (except for the SPG’s and I think fans like me outnumber them, even tho they are more vocal and in some cases more physical!!)
Does anybody know what’s up with Tommy/Kevin on this promo trip? Sometimes it’s Kevin accompanying Adam, someties it’s Tommy.
Also, one teeeny little thing that bothers me is that Adam doesn’t intro his guitarist at the beginning, and sometimes not at all.

Calgary… My take on this is that Adam probably figures that only a small number of his die hard fans will be at these appearances (very informal). For sure, they all know Tommy. In that video I posted above from 107.3, all the fans were outside yelling Tommy’s name as he arrived. However, Kevin is new, so I’m hoping he is trying to make a point of making that introduction somewhere along during the program. Even during the GNT, Adam didn’t introduce his crew until later on in the show. That was fine, IMO, as it worked out well with the flow of the show.

Adam is so gracious, normally. That’s why I’m surprised that when he’s intro’d, and after the squeeing has settled down, he doesn’t just say “this is my guitarist, …..” I’ve watched a lot of the radio interview vids and he hasn’t done it consistently. Just good manners, IMHO.
Apparently quite a few did. Noon in DC, then 2:30 out in Rockville, then back to DC for our event at 6:30. (shakes head) I sort of get it, but I don’t think Adam does. And honestly, I think it was much better to have really enjoyed our one performance in a relaxed and well fed manner (!!!) than to race around town for a glimpse here and there.
But different strokes for different folks.

RL has been a bear lately, and I haven’t watched many vids except for the one that nkd and Texas attended (because nkd and Texas attended!). Last night I definitely felt the blank where that intro would have been, especially since there was the interaction with Tommy over the lost passport. It seemed that it would have been natural to introduce him then.
TBH, though, I think BB was exhausted. You could definitely see it in his eyes when close. And having seen him at another meet and greet, this one was more work for him. He definitely was not just phoning it in, but there was less animation and spontaneity (even though the same level of kindness and interest).

Fab Four I looked at the menu from the Hamilton, it might have to be our brunch stop the next time I am at my daughter’s house. We always go for Sunday brunch.
Sidenote you can tell my granddaughter is used to going out. She is
2 1/2 and when the waiter comes for drink orders, she says I’ll have milk please, and noodles, or she may say french fries. Cracks us up that she orders for herself.

I have an inquiring mind thanks to my employment background. Which leads me to the question of not identifying your pictures here so students wouldn’t know where their teachers were. My question is do we have students on this site and it so they already know where their teachers were.
No biggy for me as I saw pictures from St Agathe and can pick Krad out. Glad you got this opportunity and waiting to hear more. I was wondering if HannaBec was at this one but didn’t see her picture altho I went thru them very fast. Adam looks so fresh and happy these days. I want more pictures that include Sauli with Adam.

JOJOSIE…don’t know the answer to your question, but just in general I don’t think some people are comfortable having their pictures on the internet. Of course when you go to these meet & greets and want to meet Adam you have no choice.
I remember at the very beginning of the GN tour where you could bring your own camera and take your own private pictures of Adam and whoever. After they upped the m&G to 50 there wasn’t enough time, Neil took over, pics were posted on fan site… (except Paris)…you didn’t have a choice. Don’t like that much.
