Festival d’ete is the HUGE music festival in Quebec City – about 10 days, about 2 million people, the biggest in Canada, LOTS of stages of all sizes, including THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM on the St. Lawrence River, tailor-made for Queen! July 5 – 15, so they could totally go from Knebworth straight to Quebec!
The revealing of the lineup is anxiously awaited by peeps from all over…a huge publicity event. (I am thinking dimly that Queen might even have played this in the past but that is a very dim thought and is probably totally wrong.)
The lineup will be announced April 23, so we have to get to work with our visualizing!
Last year Elton John and Metallica performed there. (not together lol) other years included Black Eyed Peas, Sting, Styx, Linkin Park etc etc as well as a raft of smaller indie groups (Passion Pit), French language performers from Quebec and France (Grand Corps Malade, a HUGE star) and etc. etc.

Adamized scored tix and I am going as her date, and dcglam scored tix and ultimathule is going as her date, and we plan to all meet together in DC before the event. I have never met dcglam and ultimathule, so I am doubly excited to meet new peeps as well as see Adam!
Since it was brought up about Kris Allen, I can give or take him, not interested in his songs, I really just dont like him because of the fans that think he walks on water, and puts Adam down every second. That I dont get, their guy beat Adam, why dont they just stick with their guy and leave Adam alone. There never is any Adam fans in Allens thread, that I saw, yet they are always in Adams threads, they bait the Adam fans, who are getting picked off one by one, and banned everytime. I blame Mj for that. I like to read other Adam fans remarks that dont come here about Adam is why I continue to read there. I only peeked at Allens thread to hear his Grammy winning Visions of Love, I never said a word on there about it. But I really dont like how he runs or slurs his words together, its just awful, and his falsetto, please.
I do love DeAndres falsetto on AI and I love him I hope he goes far, dont know what kind of artist he will be but hes so interesting.
Dont get jealous guys, but my Internet modeum connects to my 42″ HD TV, and I get UTube on it, so guess what I watched this morning, you guessed it, the JEZEBEL concert, wow it was cool on the big TV, and better sound. But the drums were even more annoying, thats all the sound that the system picked up.
As far as not liking Trespassing, I loved it from the few snippets we heard a while back, I did not love it hearing the whole song, I just think something was off, too fast and frantic, I dont think it will be like that on the album, and when he gets the band together better on it. Ya know what I was thinking, what a great song for a couple of good dancers on SYTYCD or DWTS to dance to. I hope the producers hear it and some time down the line use it for a dance.

Talk about being excited…… I haven’t come down from the clouds, yet!!! I figure I still have two more days to turn back into a rational/functioning human being once again before I head out to DC. Seriously, I am every bit as thrilled to meet all my new friends as I am to see Adam!!!

Another mini confession. I liked the clip of Trespassing better than the whole song too! But again, have to remember he was singing in a crappy venue…a ballroom (?) with probably not so great acoustics.
I haven’t said lately how much I enjoy seeing Kevin playing behind Adam. And like most everyone says…”hope he sticks around”. Hate saying that but realize now these backup band members come and go. Except for Tommy!

I’m trying to win tickets to the Meet and Greet in Chicago. I really want to win these tickets, so I can meet Adam for the very first time! I was so close to winning them on Friday. I tried to win the call in contest and needed to be caller 10 but I was caller 9! I was so mad! But I have entered my name in the online contest that they are having. They said they will be announcing 10 winners and letting them know by telephone, but don’t know when they are announcing them. Keeping my fingers crossed
ultima, this exactly is why I got in my car and drove (alone from Mississippi to luval‘s house in northern NY state) then caravan on up to Ste. Agathe. Total 3300 miles RT. When my friends/family told me they couldn’t believe I would do that to see ANY singer, I had to tell them that it wasn’t just Adam—it was to see old Adam friends and make new Adam friends. And, I will say that I was not disappointed. Everyone was just great as I knew they would be. I’m so happy for you guys to have this opportunity. I will also say that I’m just a tad jealous that so many of you live up there nearby each other (in the hub of excitement) while my nearest Adam friend from the blog (bridgette12) lives about 2.5 hours away which isn’t really far. There just isn’t much going on around here unless you go to the Coast. Q3 lives about 1.25 hours away, but I have never met her.
It just hurts my heart to hear in that cut-off vid how difficult the politics of getting played on radio are for Adam. Apparently so many things are more important than a great voice. And, though he didn’t say so explicitly, think he must have been pretty disappointed at times.
Wow, ceddies – that’s like crossing the U.S. – takes guts to do a trip like that all alone – but some things are just worth it, aren’t they?
I’m sure Adam & his peeps are doing market research by allowing these songs on youtube.

I love Cuckoo, but I like Chokehold too. Will be interesting to see which will be the next single. I hope that even though the album title is Trespassing, that one of the other two will be the single.

Also, the Nashville interview (with that awkward InternAdam guy) is a bit improved now. Instead of cutting off at the three-minute mark, it now goes for six minutes before it cuts off. Although InternAdam is quite awkward, Adam himself does a lovely job interacting with the audience. Hopefully eventually the station will get the problem with the videos fixed so we can see the whole conversation.

Sorry if this has been posted. It’s a piano cover of Chokehold. The melody is beautiful as are most of Adam’s songs especially when done by piano.

Here’s a tip: write what you want to write. Then, before you post it, highlight the text you want to bold, then while it’s highlighted, click the B button. Super easy this way and works like a dream!
As a double check you should see this in your text:
“less than” your text “/more than” (with the quotation marks removed.) By “less than”, I mean the sign above the comma on the keyboard, and by “more than,” I mean the sign above the period on the keyboard.
If you make a mistake, just go back into the edit mode, and make sure that you have “less than” (without the quotes) BEFORE the words you want to bold and “/more than” (without the quotes) AFTER the words you want to bold.
The same instructions apply to blockquoting, except that you want “blockquote” between the “less than” and “/more than” signs, instead of “strong.”

Someone mentioned a while back that Adam didn’t have too many of the younger crowd for fans. Just wanted to say my 19 year old granddaughter is a big fan. She went to the GN concert with me and wants to be there for future concerts too. We managed to convert her mother too…she went to the concert with us, and came away a fan. My 30 year old daughter is a big fan too. She was a big fan before the concert.
