I definitely agree that this was the promo event to be able to attend; Adam looks rested and fabulous. Can’t help but compare this to the “patter” from the early days of the original tour, when he was still ill-at-ease with the audience. So proud of how far he has come!
So so so happy for you ladies and for us who have your recaps and the vids! Damn, when I think about how much some peeps have spent to have Adam experiences that were not half as amazing…!
Have been wondering all along if Sauli wasn’t in his life right now, how would these songs and interviews be? I think exactly the same. He would answer every question with wit and kindness…perhaps the music would have a bit of sadness coming through his eyes, but he’d be a professional all the way.

ITA about the professionalism, luval, but I also think that there is a je ne sais quoi that wouldn’t be there. I think that the relationship with Sauli gives him the confidence to open up and be less protective. It seemed that there was a dark and wary place inside while Adam wrestled with the question of was he even lovable, given that he was 29 years old and still looking for true love and hadn’t found it yet. And all of a sudden there is also a lot more willingness to talk about his physical appearance in a self-deprecating and (now) humorous way…the tweets about the stubby legs, the “what was I thinking” about outfits on the red carpet…knowing that he is loved, he can just throw that out there in a light-hearted way that used to be more self-deprecating than humorous. I am just so, so happy for him, and for his fans who get to see this new side of him.

There is some chatter on twitter again about the age thing. I’m so sick of it.
Texas and I were behind the sofas and were not yelling things out at him, we were being dignified!
But Adam was enjoying himself with the fans during that interview and for most of them this was their first time meeting him. There were a couple that had had M&Gs during GNT, and a couple that were at more than 1 Texas promo event, but mostly first timers.
So exactly at what age are we supposed to stop liking music, stop going to concerts, and stop finding sexiness attractive?
I hope that Adam’s fanbase will grow in the younger generations, but I don’t plan on going away!

That Koney video is going virile through facebook. My daughter called me from school and my son and daughter that live at home told me about it also. The video was made to bring the situation in Uganda to the attention of young people who sometimes are a little sketchy on what’s happening outside their universe. We had a very interesting conversation about what is happening there but we also talked about things happening here. I am sometimes skepticle about social media but in this case I guess their mission was accomplished.
Thanks for all the recaps and vids that you, nkd, texas, cwm, riskylady,luval,dcglam and everyone else brings here. It always lifts my spirits to see all the love posted here and know that it is greatly appreciated.
dcglam, MIX 107 is also doing the online entry form, in addition to the facebook thing (and the busy signals). Have you entered that way, too? I agree that the phone thing is very frustrating! especially since two of the times are when peeps are at work.
Re age…I honestly think that Adam is never going to have a substantial younger fan base in the US if he doesn’t already. At 30, he is a little long in the tooth to appeal to a teenager. Plus he is gay, and younger girls (under 29) are more interested in a classic teen hearthrob.
On the other hand, we women of a certain age are very loyal and reliable fans. Our money is as good as anyone’s, and Adam seems to have made his peace with appealing to his grandmother’s generation, and he clearly enjoys us. It’s all good.

The radio station really seemed to have a nice setup for you guys – definitely I think from your description they put some work into it. And those videos are priceless, I downloaded them too.
I saw the “age” chatter, but really not fair because over the course of the events so far there has been a lot of variety. What do they expect? And who cares anyway…..people bitch just because they can. Waste of time and space.

Yes, I have done it all, but I’m not understanding how this entry form thing is going to work. And speaking about the age thing….. notice we had to put our birthday/age on that form. What’s up with that??? Since females seem to be winning the majority of the phone calls, maybe they will use the entry form to add a few males to the group. This would actually be good, IMO. Anyway, that isn’t really looking very hopeful, either.
Hey, maybe I’ll offer the radio station big bucks as a donation for a ticket. Desperate times call for desperate measures!!!

Tell me about it. I spend so much time going back and forth making sure I haven’t posted a radio station more than once each day. I started a cheat sheet in front of my computer that I make notes on. That has helped.

As far as age goes –
I have never had so much fun in my life. I just love being a fan of someone who can SING! Never mind that he’s one of the nicest people in music right now. Never mind that he’s beautiful. Never mind that he’s thankful for what he has. Never mind that he thanks us for having his back. And never mind that he brought all of us together. Never mind that we’ve traveled to places unknown before. And never mind that he warms my heart and makes me laugh. I have no idea what that has to do with age!!!

I keep playing that acoustic version of Fever over and over. Each time I hear him do something great with his voice. He has not only got comfortable with his audience, I think he’s “grown” with his voice. He will be so amazing with Queen. Better than the EMA’s. Wow can we handle that??? It takes my breath away already.

I can understand when Adam visits the radio stations and chats with the dj’s on air for the promo that gives him, but how do these small meet and greet/singing in front of a dozen people work???. Do they get broadcast on the radio stations

This video literally gave me butterflies in my stomach! When asked in Houston about the Queen performance, Adam’s eyes got pretty big and he said that he had alot of music to learn – that Freddie liked lots of notes! I’m soooo excited for this! Just when I start getting a little bummed about BTIKM and worry about the album, etc., I just remind myself that all kinds of wonderful things are happening for Adam this year – it can’t be denied that he’s doing great!
This is so cute – he has more charisma than, than, … okay, nothing even comes close! And I flove those red pants!!!

Good morning! Just listed live to the Q100 Atlanta promo. It was great! The gal dj was very nice and Adam sounded wonderful. Couple of different questions too.
One funny one was “what color would you never be caught dead in?”. His answer PINK. He hates pink.

“The setup at the radio station was first rate. I have never gotten to do anything like this and I was so impressed. They had a place for people to wait with benches and people from the radio station were friendly and not at all uptight or anal. We got to chat with some of our fellow Glamberts. People were pretty good about socializing and not just tweeting. There were the “ladies at the front” managing everyone that I remembered from my only Glam Nation concert. I really don’t know why they do that, but as Adam would say, it comes from a good place and I didn’t let it get to me. Most of the fans were not like that.”
