Being one who is not at all into Rihanna’s latest “Man Down” video, I must say that I absolutely adore Adam’s support for his fellow musicians. He’s very right in that we need to view these videos as “fictional stories”. However, I feel that this particular story was too much patterned from real life situations. That’s what makes it tough!
And yes, Adam, I am a very patient person. I am so looking forward to all of your surprises!!
Here is my take on Christina A. I don’t really think she wants to work with Adam. I know she said in an interview she would love to work with Adam Lambert some day, I don’t think she means it. I really feel she thinks it would be “below” her. That she’s got a lot more irons in the fire. Her flops apparently don’t phase her. Can you tell I’m not a fan?
As far as Adam’s thoughts on Rhianna’s video…I say “who cares?” (about Rhianna).

I feel terrible about Adele’s laryngitis…I have always thought that she is not kind to her voice. Could take tips from Adam. 100+ concerts with only the shortest of breaks, constant travel, time Zone changes, demanding music…and never missed a concert. Gotta say I admire him as much as love him.
Hi all, had a super busy weekend, spent lots of time outdoors gardening, schvitzing ( that’s sweating for those of you who need translation, or who have never seen, much less appreciated a Mel Brooks or Woody Allen movie, Curb or Seinfeld episode ), and spent today at a glorious beach on Lake Michigan.
Oh, to walk on the sand again after this long winter and horrid spring was just bliss. Not warm enough to swim yet, but the tootsies were a’splashing!!
Oh, and yes, I did actually think to myself, “The last time my feet were in sand and surf was in Hawaii when I saw Adam.”
But, I digress. Who wants to know about me and Leila, for what? I’m confused!! I have no contact with her outside of the fansite. I actually had several exchanges with her there, I didn’t post about all of them because I just didn’t want to appear like I was bragging. Once she said goodbye to the fansite, that was that. She never initiated contact with me, only answered my messages. Once we had a two time exchange. Others, she would answer me, I would respond. Then, she would read my response, but not answer it back.
I absolutely do not think we had any special relationship, she was just doing her job. A couple of times though, she responded right back to me, so she must have been on the fansite working right at the same time. I’m such a dork, that seemed cool to me, what with the time zone difference and all.
I recently was pretty bored at home ( long dreary spring ), and cleaned out my fansite mailbox a lot. Left hers. Not gonna delete Leila.
Well, if we’re talking about weather, its about 32c here today with up to 90% humidity…..its the humidity thats the worse, the temps OK. Also very busy like Mils but indoors, decided to switch 3 bedrooms round, as in not just the furniture but whos sleeping in which one, so all the clothes and bits and bobs too!!! Think we should have a break and go to the pool.

Do fans of other artists keep daily tabs on them like we do? If not, are we better fans or just more stalkerish (even if we don’t have stalkerish motives)?
We just seem to need more contact with Adam than most fans have with the object of their fandom. I wonder why? Is it us, or is it him?

It’s now June 6th on the East Coast, one year ago today Adam performed at KFEST 2010, a radio station event in Wappingers Falls, NY. This was a six song set, and turned out to be the only “short set” he performed during the entire rest of the year once the GNT had started. All of the other events, even those not advertised as official Glam Nation Tour concerts, got the full set list.

Adamland & Suz526 lol yea the sound system at the Pacific Amphitheatre left a lot to be desired. I think that venue is in a constant battle with the neighborhood over noise, but the speakers were certainly turned way down that night. I don’t think any of Monte’s guitar solo during SW was audible. I am glad we got to be so close to the stage for that show!
Kradamour, I live in Key West (airport code EYW), but am out of town this week visiting family. It would be ironic if Adam decided to spend a few days there right now!
ETA: and now James and Adam are having a twitter exchange. People can draw their own conclusions, but I’ll just remind everyone that we don’t want to start up with James/Adam “feud” stuff again, we already had a thorough airing of that in the previous thread. I only mention this because I know it will inevitably be a topic of conversation here soon enough.

Just discussing this latest Adam/James twitter thing with Adamland. We don’t want to shut down people’s opinions about what is sure to be a hot topic of discussion on a Monday, but we don’t want this site to be consumed by discussions of “feuds”, real or imagined, or the relative merits of Adam and James.
So, reasonable opinions regarding the Adam/James twitter exchange are ok, but any bashing is not. Let’s continue to keep this site what it is – a positive, welcoming place for discussion of Adam and his performances.
eywflyer, I don’t think you need to be concerned unless some random peeps find us in the next day or so. I was surprised (and a little taken aback) by your post, but I can understand that you want to protect your wonderful site. But we do, too. So no worries.

I just came back from JD/AL thread on MJ. 191 comments and still counting. I read them all , all pros and cons, individual interpretation what James meant by twitting this, and Adam by twitting that.
When I saw nicknames of two
Adam bashersposters (eyw, I’m not starting anything, just my observation) I knew the discussion will never end.I got a headache.
I’m not going to ask a logical question, if James really wanted Adam’s advice why did he go on twitter. It was answered already.

Where I’m from 111 degrees is just a Monday.
And this is only June. It will get hotter and hotter. In fact, Aramco never shows the temp. higher than 119 degrees (no matter how dang hot as hell it is) because there is law that prevents workers to work outside (like the oil rigs) if it’s higher than 119.
I just want you guys to feel better. Get warm and snuggy together and think of poor asif in the dessert storm.

Yikes…I had an acquintance ask me to lunch to talk about “problems”. I was really nice and tried to give advice. This was before twitter. After that I had same person as a stalker for months afterwards. It’s not worth it. People take a lunch the wrong way sometimes.

Cher, when I heard the rumor that Adam was in South Florida I wondered if he might come to Key West, as it would be a good place for him to go unrecognized on the street and is far away from paps/press. It would be ironic for me if he is there right now, since I’m out of town and won’t return until this weekend.

Oksana, if Adam was on Duval St in the evening he would be largely surrounded by drunk tourists (who would very likely not realize who he was especially with even a minimal disguise), and gay men (the vast majority of whom would either not recognize Adam, or wouldn’t care if they did). Plus now that it’s June and summer has arrived there aren’t as many people around – off season. I’d be surprised if Adam is really there though, Key West isn’t exactly Bora Bora.

Eyw,I think it was Southernmost hotel. The very last on the Duval street, on the water. It was March and hotel was fully booked, so we decided on the next one with nice pool and even nicer bar. But not on the waterfront.
Bartender was making Bloody Mary from scratch, using gazillion of ingridiens and it was the BEST EVAH Bloody Mary I ever had.
Duval Street was fun indeed..

Geez, poor James. Did you read the very latest? He’s going to need an awfully big glass of water to swallow that foot in his mouth. I liked James on Idol. But, I don’t see him going far in the music business without the social skills and networking that one needs to move forward. If anything, he’s going to need strict management and firm guidance. I hope he’s able to get both.
